whoa, i didnt know that it could be disabled. was one of the few things that keep me from updating
Thank you! Using MIUI 12 for months without realizing this…
This should bei pinned
What do you mean swiping from left to right ? Doing that from the control center doesn’t do anything. I don’t have “permanent” notification so i don’t need much space.
In the end I reverted back to the old notification+quick settings in the MIUI 11 style, I’ll just wait for them to put out an update that allows us to merge the control center and the notification
I feel you, I’m using it for about 1 month and still keep missing the right side and having to swipe up and down again, and I’m not that slow kind with tech stuff (so I suppose will be more people thinking the same or in same situation even after 1 month lol)
Yes that was the first thing i did
Didn’t like it at first, but after using it for quite some time, feel that it’s kinda good.
They only need to fix/add:
More customisation options, allow us to see data usage just like the old notification panel, fix landscape mode (control center in landscape mode kinda shit), better animation etc.
Nah. I like the new one. Separate notification from control center.
I too hate the new control center.
The icons are very big and is not customizable at all.
I am changing dpi on my every phone and no problem.
Roger that. Thanks a bunch!
Oh?
Right? I must be an idiot.
Can you please tell me how to decrease the icon size please?
Would be of great help?
Thank you.
Uh yea no shit
Swipe from left (to view notification) and right (to view control center)
I never said left to right
Hast du bei den Update Einstellungen “Updates eher erhalten” aktiviert?
I just don’t understand why they don’t put notifications below the control center, there’s unused space there?
I honestly don’t mind the new control center but I hate having quick settings and notifications on different panels
Nah, I meant the size.
I do that too.
I love small fonts and icons.
Reducing it further would be disastrous.
It’s funny because I did that yesterday before looking for a solution for a long time lol
So yeah, it’s not my favourite thing, mostly because opening it while I have something else opened on the screen isn’t the most smooth thing.
Display – status bar – use new control center (toggle)
Habs gerade eben auf meinem Poco bekommen. Dann werdet ihr es wahrscheinlich auch bald fürs Mi9 bekommen
ARRGGHHHH, THANK YOU !!!!!
me too. after adapting for around 1-2 days i don’t mind it at all. and on the plus side i can spend less time changing wifi (i have to scroll down twice in the old one, vs once in the new one), and in total i have 12 usable “buttons” instead of the old 5 in one swipe.
\*8 customizable, data, wifi, bluetooth, auto brightness. the mobile data usage is not that useful to me but its a nice touch for those who need it.
i wish MIUI 13 would enable me to customize it as i would love to put the “now playing” notifications (spotify, youtube, etc) on that data usage panel instead
Still waiting here with my MI9T too in Germany
you’ll get used to the whole swipe from left and right thing quite fast. it was quite annoying to me at first but it became a non issue after 2 days.
for me its not like i clutter my notification. but here’s my top notification
* “you are connected to whatsapp web” from whatsapp
* “amazfit watch is connected” from amazfit
* “you are connected to EU server” from nordVPN
* “congrats you are participating in the covid 19 contact tracing” from my government covid tracking app
i can’t erase those. and i kinda need those to know that those app are still running so i can’t hide it
THANK YOU
Oh i thought you meant the arrangement of the icons… Yeah the size is locked
it’s running MIUI 12.20.7.9 beta. To the best of my knowledge, this is straight from Xiaomi.
I have a Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Love the phone to death outside of LTE band incompatibility (which is only an issue specific to the city I live in). It’s 2 years old as of last month.
MIUI 12 otherwise runs great, it’s just that the control center made me a bit annoyed. I’m happy that they included the feature to use the old CC style.
I have Mi9T Pro and it’s available for me
any news on when will it launch in india on poco x2
Yeah and other people are like “wtf why is text so small on your phone”
the unused space is quite small and thus you may actually spend more time and scrolls to find the notification you’re looking for
My Mi 9t just got MiUI 12 last night (US)
Nahh.
That would mess things.
It would be like launching a rocket to kill a cockroach.
Still not working for me
Anyone having a clue as to when will the miui 12 update drop in india for the poco x2??
Install “autonotification” from the Play Store. This app allows you to hide permanent notification as well as our notifications that you don’t want to see.
You can also disable that annoying bar at the bottom lol
Oh okay lmao
Well I’m definitely not getting comfortable, I’ve always swiped from top right, so going to top left is super unnatural, gonna stick with the old one
But it is customizable…
Awesome indeed, thank you!
You can only change dpi in developer settings, but that will affect whole UI.
The new control center looks beautiful but the problem with is that notifications and quick settings are in two different places making it confusing and the left side part harder to reach.
I am looking through the settings, and I don’t have the option to disable it? Mi9t pro
What is not working? I never said swiping left to right works.
What i meant was swiping down from right **and** swiping down from left
Thanks a lot, I really hate the new interface!
I would like it more if the buttons were as responsive as the old MIUI. I had an issue where I would have to press the flashlight button around 4-7 times before it’d actually turn on. Same thing would happen with wifi and bluetooth. Switching back to the old control center fixed this immediately.
It’s plenty big enough for me since I’m not the kind of person to let notification sits there for days
And even if I had a lot of notification, I’d still rather have to scroll than scroll back up and down again
