How is the 9t looking?
Yay I’m doing it just like on my Mi 8.
Wonder how battery life holds up against MIUI
Everything working? I used to see the xda thread but it had some issues.
I guess no support for Google Pay will ever make it there
I’m indeed running it rn 😉
Oh damn, that looks amazing, thank you!
https://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/miui-rom-releases.103/
it’s a debloated, tracker removed, and translated chinese MIUI rom.
Yeah that’s happens with custom roms. I’ve been flashing custom roms from 2013 and it happens from time to time. I got two phones and I try to avoid custom roms for my work phone.
I think you should go with Xiaomi.eu rom. It’s super stable on my brother’s poco and my RN7.
thanks for shareing!
finally this is so awesom!
Vendor firmware? Can that affect the sensor?
You also need to have the latest firmware installed.
How does Android One fares against Pixel Experience? I have a Mi A2, it’s to supposed to be as stock as possible
Mine was 168 hours for the global version. Wish I bought the Chinese one instead, they come unlocked
I stopped messing with RoMs at the HTC Desire. It was bad for my stress levels and health generally.
This is the right answer. Dunno why the other comment is being upvoted.
I second this
Wait how much time does one have to wait to unlock?
Does that means something similar to the Xiaomi A1???
so pretty much the same thing which happened with all devices eventually. How is this a news? It’s not like Xiaomi have anything to do with this ;/
Just use saki eu adbfastboottools for debloat , the miui with gestures is kinda slow .
There seems to be only an unofficial one right now. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_vU7XEvqPXoHQMbg3K4OZYc8BlbYpqsn
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3872863
Next time can you please try and search it up instead.
This is the only reason I can’t do roms anytime soon.
Android one is the same google stock experience. Pixel experience actually brings that feel to the phone.
mi 9 in Slovakia is slow on LTE 4G. does anyone know why?global version
It’s a custom rom that closely resembles the Pixel UI
Unfortunately I don’t want to send all my data to Google, so that’s not an option for me 🙁 I heard from other people that it works well too, though.
If you buy the Chinese version with the global ROM 100% it has an unlocked bootloader as that’s the only way for them to actually load it on.
I’ve ordered almost 10 Xiaomi phones for myself and friends and any “global ROM” versions have it. “Global version” are different of course, they almost always have a locked bootloader.
i would be more than thankful if you do a video about pixel experience on mi9 (Y)
Just imagine Pixel4 and there you have it 🙂
(Maybe slightly worse camera(even with gcam port))
Why not xiaomi eu? It’s debloated retains a lot of the added function and it runs fast as hell. Miui isn’t bad for a stock rom
Yeah but I hate having to reinstall everything 🙁 Why isn’t there something to just back up all my settings so I can restore them later? I use Titanium but that’s a hassle too since lots of settings don’t get backed up.
What base is used for stable xiaomi.eu? Beta eu uses chine dev beta. What about stable branch? How stable it is?
Totally agree. Im waiting for some official resurrection or pixel experience. I have crdroid now but isn’t all the smooth that this phone can be…
Pixel Experience with Poco F1 is gem. Don’t know why you chose Lineage OS.
Precise you’re talking about resellers then. If you buy the Chinese phone from Xiaomi it comes with a locked bootloader
Of course I’m buying from resellers. I don’t live in China.
I’m doubt the Chinese version comes with an unlocked bootloader. Maybe you don’t have to wait 168h to unlock the bootloader but I’m pretty sure technically it comes with a locked bootloader
I’m not sure. It might.
No ciritcal bugs, but mostly stable and may be some minor since it is new.
I think I’m done with custom ROMs. I installed Lineage unofficial on my Poco, I had to wipe the phone and reinstall everything because it wouldn’t OTA-upgrade to official when it came out, and on top of everything, the fingerprint sensor broke and unlocking the phone is a major PITA.
I’m just going to leave MIUI on the next phone and call it a day, I have enough stuff to do without having to babysit my phone’s updates.
The official status of a custom ROM is usually indicates that the build adheres to that custom ROM standard (like for example, [LineageOS’ device support requirement](https://github.com/LineageOS/charter/blob/master/device-support-requirements.md)). It also means that the device has an active maintainer.
Syberia official, beast rom official, crdroid official, havoc oc official exists for note 7. And many other custom roms that are unofficial periodically updated by devs. I stopped using custom roms though. Need a stable and secure device. Fed up of rooting and tinkering.
Will there be official support for Mi Mix 3 4g?
Can you tell me what the xiaomi.eu ROM is? Is it an official ROM?
Does this break Netflix HD?
Hope they release for K20 Pro.
I’m using Pixel 3XL right now, the 4GB ram is really annoying me.
I just bought the phone from the airport from Shenzhen, came back, wanted to flash the global ROM, found out had to unlock bootloader, and now I have to wait 7 days. Very frustrating indeed.
I’m hoping I could get a clean OS, as I love my Pixel. But my Pixel battery and low ram is really pissing me off lately. But I love the camera, especially night mode.
This is a statement I made in 2017. Got an iPhone to test out iOS. Been with it since. But I’m ready to back to Android. Pixel 4. No time for rims when there’s perfectly good software and camera on good hardware. But I can’t lie that the feeling of a freshly installed rom on a device felt like cool air in your hair on a hot day.
I usually always go with stock, but I decided to go for Xiaomi.eu for my redmi note 7. I debloated weekly xiaomi eu further with saki_eu’s tool and it’s a wonderful firmware. The new miui with dark mode looks so sexy and felt really great to use. Also the dual app and app lock are nice to have. All my root apps and magisk modules are working as intended.
Definitely sticking with Xiaomi.eu from now on.
“Pixel Experience is an AOSP/CAF based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation)
Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential and useful features for the proper functioning of the device”
My experience with all the ROMs has been super stable. The weekly and the stable builds. The stable are based on the stable China rom
What’s not? From stability to UI. Love MIUI’s gallery tho.
Probably
waiting for Mi 9 SE
QuickPic’s where it’s at, my man. I might try Pixel Experience, though, thanks.
No AOD and fingerprint scanner only works after the first try. The brightness is very finnecky. Also I’m not sure but AI button doesn’t seem to work
Doesn’t the under display fingerprint reader work?
Just waiting for bootloader unlock – 6 more days 🙁
Just don’t. I bought a chinese Redmi note 5 with global rom last year. The rom is global. I can OTA. The setting said it was unlocked. However, i fail flashing anything on fastboot. Some google research tell me that it was a ‘fake unlock’, maybe the vendor unlocked the phone with exploit or something and it’s not a true unlock.
On your case, you might get a real unlocked phone, however I won’t risk it. Waiting for a week (168hr) isn’t a big deal and that made me stick with MIUI (debloated Xiaomi.eu) now and really happy with my choice.
What’s better on Pixel Experience?
4 days here, looking forward to this!
Ummmm? https://streamable.com/2dnjy
The backups to Google are pretty good these days. I’ve not been flashing ROMs for a few years now and got back into it and man, the backups in Google itself are awesome.
there is no inofficial version anymore. The inofficial one from xda-developers is the official one now. Nevertheless also this official version does not seem to be that stable to be used as a daily driver (only there as Alpha release)
