So i have my 13T Pro, it run on HOS2.0.101.0 (mi pilot) EEA
I recently change my sim card (my old one doesn’t accept 5G so I change to one that can) but the problem is that even thos the phone can accept the frequency band, the sim card can, SA/NSA is accepted on the phone, the same card too
But for the love of god the phone can’t connect to 5G, after looking in the in depth info on the sim card I found that it says “NR (NSA) State: RESTRICTED”, “NR frequency: UNKNOWN”
So yeah I’m forced to be stuck to LTE…
Some carriers limit speeds and they do it quite often with unlimited data plans, some do it with cheap ones (because “if you don’t need too much data, you probably don’t need the best speed”, providers probably).
Indeed I have an unlimited data plans (in every way possible, SMS, MMS, voice call, ect…) but I’ve never heard my carrier do this
Your carrier may be blocking access to 5G (for whatever reason), or it isn’t in your plan. At least that would be my initial hunch. Did you come from another 5G device on the same plan? Does the phone supper the 5G bands on the carrier? Does that carrier even have 5G because some still don’t in this day and age?
So my carrier does support 5G , it’s available in my whole city, the phone accept every band, this phone is the only 5G one I have
And if my carrier is blocking me, I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but why my carrier be blocking me if I paid for it ?
