So when will everyone else get the normal miui12 update?
Did you debloat or something? I have no such problems, search function works pretty well on settings and contacts. Fast too. Mi9T.

I second this , slow search , i usually use a gaming custom equalizer settings while playing games that increase the footstep sound and decreases unnecessary noise fq in games , but while listening to music i prefer hifi-audio and it take 4-5 second for sound effect to show up in settings earlier it took less than a second.
Also when you clean trash the finished cleaning overlaps a lot of things for 3 second (It’ a visual bug) .
The face unlock is or feels faster , the finger print and general waking up time is bit slower.
Some app blackout while rotating need to lock screen and unlock for them to work.
Overall i am loving the Control centre , i wish we had a music widget there jist like ios, the general text and ui theme feels great in light mode.
All text looks polished.

Not only turning off. You need to open an app that can move between portrait and landscape (youtube) and rotate it, then it goes back to normal. And start the game in your preffered orientation. Not great but eh.

At least the search works at all. For me on MIUI 11 the settings app and the contacts app always crash when you search for certain things.

The Redmi S2 in suppose to get it in the third wave of updates, but the lite version isn’t in the list of expected devices.
Unfortunately nothing here yet.

Wallpaper color this is because probably dark mode. In dark mode settings there is option to adjust the wallpaper contrast according to dark mode. Try turning it off.
Swiping down works fine. Left for notifications and right for control center. You can switch sides in settings
I don’t know what Rom you have
Pictures seem to take on a different colour when applying them as wallpaper. I couldn’t get double tap to lock my phone. I have now since I’ve installed Poco launcher. Sweeping down on the screen will either bring down notifications or quick settings, it’s seems to be pot luck which, and can be frustrating.
Edit: just want to add dark mode isn’t working on certain things. Everything was fine on MIUI 11, some apps and browsers now aren’t dark despite me trying everything.

But updates are put out in waves, so if you have to wait long it’s just bad luck.

Anyone noticing super wallpaper lag when clicking on power button ? It’s not animation lag but it’s the lag to change from the home screen live wallpaper to lock screen wallpaper !! I’m noticing it and it’s annoying
