Nothing to see here, I just find it amusing how smooth the app transition is on Mi 9T Pro

Huh? Did I hear it wrong somewhere or don’t all Pixel devices have full screen gestures on Android 10? I saw an article a few days ago that gestures were even the default now when you buy a pixel.
How do You get Xiaomi stock apps of “message” and “phone”?
There is even a mod for 75hz screen
Battery life slightly decreases
I don’t know if it hurts the screen tho, I guess not?!
I’m just interested in what abomination that plushie is – some new-gen Pokemon?
Same phone as in the video. Different names according to the region
I dislike google’s implementation of gesture on pixels
Yeah, I just switched the “gestures” on for my bro who has Redmi Note , and it seems that animations are choppy on his phone, not on Mi9T Pro or pocohone, though. So, it seems like it’s due to processor. You can try different animation speeds in “developer mode” in Settings, see if it makes a change. Also, try Poco Launcher if you’re not on it.
so are you on pe beta?? ig seems to be glitchy when im on android 10 but most of the stuff works and some peeps say when opening games it instantly crashes the phone so idk what to do jahahshsh i need something stable without stuttery animations 😭 so im probs going to stay with pixel experience on android pie
Welp.. my regular mi9t does the same but isn’t fast enough to load the app contents during the animation like yours did. It only does when those apps are already stored in ram.
Even if you deactivate the icon, the fingerprint sensor still appears to be active. When you touch the area where the sensor is, the icon will appear.
No is not by default you should install from play store.
These apps were stored in RAM right ?
Lmao that’s how I navigate between apps 🤣😅
No stutter on mi9T.
Tried xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 on my mi 5s plus and it’s very stuttery. Though idk how all these times using that phone i didn’t care and not bothered by it lol
Mine doesn’t stutter but I’m using a Mi 9T Pro on MIUI 10, can’t say for Note 5 😕
OK. Thanks, and if you don’t mind me asking: where did you buy it?
Yes me too. yes it’s good.
Ok here’s a question I’ve been trying to answer. Re the in screen fingerprint…. Does it work if the screen is actually off? Like turn off ambient display and does it still work, or would you need to hit power button to wake first?
I usually find those ambient things to be a waste of power and prone to ending up with the phone trying to unlock all the time in my pocket… Just curious how this one works.
after k30 maybe? they didnt announce yet if k30 will have it so who knows
Currently have one with the black border and hate it too (I want to protect my baby though ahah). Ordering a Nillkin one without the black border right now…
I’m not sure either, once someone told that if the screen it’s not adjusted to work on higher freshrates, it might hurt the screen making leds to die or burning them.. the only one that knows if this is true, it’s the Creator, but i’m not taking risks although how tempting it sounds
Stock MIUI 10, I have no idea why it has the stock dialer and messaging app by default 😕
What rom are you you using that you have google messages and dialer on Mi 9T Pro?
True
is that the default launcher mi 9t pro came with?
This is exactly what I needed to see while i was waiting for the device to arrive,
I love you, i love xiaomi, and i hope to like the mi 9T pro and have nothing to miss about MI 9 SE.
I’m not sure, mine came pre-installed with the google dialer and messaging stock apps
i see, kinda weird since i’ve only seen stock dialer being present on chinese K20 Pro. You sure you don’t have this version?
wahhh i have the stutters too on my Rn7 and it gives me headaches whenever i see the micro stutters and im not sure if its because i have the 3gb ram version, I’ve tried eu and its still there i even installed the eu stable miui 11, im currently on pe waiting for the official q update.
Go to sleep!
Yes it works. I have my ambient display turned off but the fingerprint icon is still there tho it goes off after a couple of minutes.
MIUI launcher
Seems kinda choppy tbh
alrighty then imma stick with pixel experience and check if miui 11 official fixes things 😅
I’m using poco launcher if that concerns you
Just did in this in my MI 9t/ K20 too. Damn this shit is amusing
Yeah, i forgot about wireless charging… Can be sweet to have.
But, being used face unlock a few times just for the sake of it, it’s faster then typing in the 4 digit passcode, so, there’s that.
But, both can’t beat the rear fingerprint sensor, just because you can feel where it is below your fingertip.
Oh like that, ah oke.
Im not a big fan of miui animations like these. I think the animations in stock android Q are way better than miui.
Yeah.. but mind you, the under display fingerprint reader is not even remotely perfect.. it works 85-90% of the time where as traditional capacitive fingerprint readers work 99% of the time in my experience..
>.”miui9″ theme
what I got with .”miui9″ theme
Where can i enable these animations?
Yeah I bought Mi 9T Pro 8/256 on eglobalcentral. I have stock global rom but with google dialer which sucks because it doesnt have call recording
Nope
It does now. Look at the pixel 4.
Awesome cheers, might have to re-evaluate this phone 🙂 everything else is pretty much perfect, I just have a dislike on in screen fingerprint but this one seems to be ok.
I see that there have been some… artistic liberties taken with it.

Me: Mom can I have [Virizion](https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/7/79/640Virizion.png/600px-640Virizion.png)?
Mom: We have Virizion at home.
[Virizion at home.](https://www.pokemoncenter.com/wcsstore/PokemonCatalogAssetStore/images/catalog/products/P3522/702-00611/P3522_702-00611_01.jpg)
Yes, it’s not very stable yet, some restarts and UI freezes here and there… The animations rock though !
I’m at work haha
Love that wallpaper? Did it come on the device?
Since I can’t really tell from the video, is there any animation stutter when you swipe up to go home from an app? I’m asking as on my Redmi Note 5, there is some stutter even in MIUI11 and I’m wondering if it’s due to the processor or if I’m just seeing things…
I’m not too excited about in-screen fingerprint reader, coming from Pocophone to Mi9T Pro, it seems like it was more convenient to hit it on the back, below camera, and it was fast as hell.
With in-screen fingerprint, I sometimes don’t hit the right spot, it’s a tiny bit slower, and a couple of times when I got it out of the pocket (it has “pocket protection on” in settings) it was slow to show animation – I had to hit power button first then touch fingerprint reader. But, it’s just an incremental annoyance.
But, looking at that glorious oled display that is fullscreen, without any notch or anything …makes me just laugh so hard watching iPhone 11 event.
I’m using two of my fingers haha
I’m using poco launcher
Warning this is a horrible Advertisement drive system.. Uninstalled it straight away
just imagine that combined with a 90hz screen
Nag-EXTEND ba? Hahaha
It works with Smart Launcher Pro 5 as well.
What is default?
And if you choose another theme (for icons) like …”miui9″ theme like I use, you can even have icon animations, now that’s trippy, too!
Ok thanks
Me too, every MIUI version that I ‘ve tried has these stutters. Only the Pixel Experience 10 beta has smooth animations.
It says global on mine and I have the Mi 9T Pro
Your animation looks the same as mine tho. Mi9T on stock launcher
Nope
I mean, I don’t like how gesture works on pixels.
Maybe its a bug in my case, because it fails to identify my finger atleast once in ten times on average. It scans the fingerprint but says ‘Try again’ after a second. It says the same for all the attempts made after first ‘try again’ message.. Sometimes it works if I hit the power button and try again but most of the time I have to enter my password or use face to unlock it..
My theory is that the display is responsive to the touch but it sometimes fails to trigger the under display camera which scans my fingerprint. Hence, the ‘try again’ message. It sometimes gets activated upon hitting power button in that situation and sometimes it doesn’t..
I’m not sure whether it is a hardware issue or software. Already reported and hoping it could be fixed in MIUI 11 update.
WIZARD
HyperOS 2 is on another level now!
It might hurt the battery or the screen, wouldn’t it?
From their store themselves, we have an official xiaomi store here.
You have a Mi 9T Pro, don’t you?
Where?
Already tried 5 scans of the same finger for a week.. results were the same.. 85-90% accuracy
Yes when off it will blink on for a few seconds if it senses movement (very sensitive) or tap on screen.
Yes, it came pre-installed
This is why I find myself difficult to switch to other phones now because of MIUI’s full screen gesture. I wish google has the same for the pixels…
Hmm, I barely touch mine and it unlocks, just place my finger there and it unlocks instantly. I hope its not one of those pigment of your skin type of problems where Xiaomi didn’t account for that.
Add 3 or more scans of the same finger.
Oh, that’s Virizion from Gen 5 haha
I have 3 scans of the same finger per hand and it has not failed me in months.
Will do. Also, am not using glass protector, couldn’t bring myself to apply one, the screen is too gorgeous! And all the protectors have that ugly black edge that steals from the screen edges, and are not perfectly sized.
All in all, in-screen fingerprint is more of a gimmick then a good upgrade to rear fingerprint reader.
I recently tried it with cleared RAM and they still launch the same as before
No stutter on stock or poco launcher, definite stutter on nova for me.
MIUI 10, Pie
add the same fingerprint 3 times and see the results.
I just tried it on my K20 Pro and it feels soo good
It works even when ambient display is turned off.. You don’t need to hit the power button to trigger fingerprint reader.. Just put your finger (or anything that is capacitive for a fact) on the screen where fingerprint reader is located and it automatically triggers..
This.
The in-screen fingerprint sensor and the lack of wireless charging are the only two factors that keep me away from upgrading to Mi 9T. I love how fast the rear fingerprint sensor is on my RN6P. Not a big fan of face unlock, but sometimes it becomes useful and I guess the face unlock on Mi 9T is not fast because the camera has to pop up before scanning.
I hope the next versions go back to rear screen FP sensor.
Like … as 2nd and 3rd fingerprint ? Didn’t try that, will do, thanks!
But it has nothing to do with screen not lighting soon enough when I get it out of my pocket, or me simply miss-hiting the right spot. (that’s what she said)
yeah, add the same finger 3 times and it will be significantly faster, as well as not using a tempered glass screen protector.
same in Mi8
Wait what is? The stock MIUI themes app?
Full screen gestures in miui 10 are quite handy…
