And fix those bugged notifications
Do you have root ? With sai, If you install the apk downloaded with this app, the stock installer shouldn’t appear. Is the app that install the apk
> For those apps that you want them to go wild with RAM, you can just disable MIUI’s restrictions.
If it worked like that properly then it would have been nice. But it’s not the case. It still closes. The difference was easily noticable when i used a custom rom. Anyway now i have been on stock since long and would be nice if they use stock ram management and battery optimisation.
I don’t think xiaomi is gonna change the ram management at least for older phones. Google only made it mandatory to use stock Ram management in your phones launching with Android q. One thing I request xiaomi is they shouldn’t break commonly used API’s. For example in order to install YouTube vanced we should use the split APK installer app from the Play Store. In Miui we have to turn off the miui optimisation in order to use split APK installer. Turning off Miui optimisation will revoke all other permissions. This is a pain in the ass just to simply install an app.
Yeah, what do i need those 6gbs of ram if only 4 apps are kept properly in there.
There is no such problems in Redmi Y2(S2) though, I have one at home and it is perfect
yeah, exactly my thoughts
Its a community build miui rom. You need unlocked bootloader to flash it
It’s broken.
Like u said the only thing they had to worry about was the notification interface. But they decided to screw the whole thing up
Even the style of some notifications is ugly, like broken.
I have fixed most of my notification problems on Messenger, IG and Reddit but at random times some notifications don’t show up, or it shows me again old notifications presenting ’em as new.
Like GMail, this thing’ s notifications are broken af
And I was so fking excited to get myself a Xiaomi.
Hardware and design and pretty much the cam are awesome, but that sticky software, yikes!
Hi, how can we join the european beta ?
do we know when it’s gonna come out ?, I love me some new navigation animations lmao
I’m using YouTube Vanced and never used this split apk installer. Why does it need that?
That’s my point….
I installed SAI, rootless option is enabled, and it still said I cant install system aplications from unofficial channels in MIUI package installer
I uninstalled it long ago. Never had any problems.
I’ve had no issues. what are you experiencing?
I thought i werent supposed to have a root, nvm. It worked. I am however disappointedm it’s just there, the navigation bar. It does nothing. I though it would havw some anomations as ios, but no. Any other alphas good to try?
Sad. Honestly my biggest gripe with miui right now. Even outdated android marshmallow has better ram management than the “best” miui.
I was hoping they would go more “stock” style like other companies, and they go different direction.
I lock and set autostart on all the apps I want kept alive and it seems to work okay. Probably not perfect for everyone but it’s something
Yeah but the global rom doesn’t have any of these except the dark mode .
alright, thanks!
that explains why they show up with a new version again.
I use a Mi Max 3 (definitely mid range) and I have no issues with notifications.
I hope they optimize it well. After updating my Mİ9T Android 10, I can say they became sloppy. I switched from Redmi Note 5 pro, its update had no issues.
Mi pad for got stuck on 10
Ohhh okay!
iOS 13 is the latest
Depending.
Browsing Reddit with the App Boost, media and thumbnail quality on high and no mobile data limit, it takes 4-5 screen-on hours, to end up with 38% battery at 16 o’clock (last full charge at 6 o’clock).
If I use it only for Spotify (with High Quality settings for both Mobile and download) and a little bit reddit, after 8 hours I have 60-70% left at 17 o’clock (removing the phone from charging at 6 o’clock).
[I charged the phone at 38% (6-16 o’clock til last charge) to 60% before leaving the work at 17 o’clock. Also WiFi is on but not connected, so high drain because of mobile data](https://i.imgur.com/MHF3PB0.jpg)

I like the battery life which the Poco F1 gives me. But it gets worn out really fast. I don’t have the Screenshots of AkkuBattery which calculates the real battery capacity, but I ended up with 3590 mAh after a year.
You have to install MiHome Alpha.
*Root Needed*
1- Install MiXplorer
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/pishrodevs/mixplorer-hootanparsa/mixplorer-hootanparsa-6-44-0-release/mixplorer-6-44-0-android-apk-download/
2-You need MiHome Alpha Launcher
https://t.me/MiuiSystemUpdates/252
Save the file.
Locate the Alpha Launcher apk using MiXplorer app and tap it. There is install option. After installing reboot.
You can find gesture bar in settings> Additional Settings> Full Screen Gestures> Show Hide Gesture Bar
Yes, a stock android experience but with a lot of customisation like oxygenOS
Ea
Anxiety for this
Oh God, yes. I find the stock gallery experience so frustrating because of this.
lol
You must install miui launcher alpha via sai installer and rootless option. And you will have all these animation.
They just want to keep up with the iOS Version scheme. Currently its on version 11 if I’m not mistaken.
Is it just me who likes the aggressive memory management of MIUI?
Some apps like Facebook and Instagram are just so intrusive and persistent concerning that, and MIUI’s aggressive behavior is a blessing. For those apps that you want them to go wild with RAM, you can just disable MIUI’s restrictions.
Yes it comes with 12
U mean the auto brightness, which turns automatically on each time u restart?
I think they’ve fixed it
Oh don’t get me started! Google’s stock one “learns” your taste, too!
Im on 20.3.26 and i dont have these features and no update is available
that’s the point tho,
Not able to install alpha builds on xiaomi.eu rom. at least I havent figured it out.
All the midrange Xiaomi phone users have it
I don’t know about the high end phones I haven’t talked about it with a high end phone user
But yes this is a Xiaomi bug and there are so many more
I have only got my Mi9lite like less than a month and I have noticed sooo many annoying things
Better if they fix miui’s abysmal ram management. And show album art on lockscreen lol.
Exactly, does this mean theyve worked out how to actually notify us of notifications from all apps in good time?
On my Pocophone I have to adjust the auto-brightness manually so I don’t lose my eyesight in dark environments. It really got worse since I updated to Android 10.
What is a “perfect dark mode”
All of this “MIUI 12” features are just in the latest China ROM already. Nothing new or leaked..
True. I hoped it would come with Q but I found out that default Google’s ram management is compulsory only for new devices and not for older ones. But it’s better on Q than it was on Pie
Hi guys. I didn’t get miui 11 on my MI9 Global in UK. Is there something I’m missing? Or need to do?
not everyone has $1000 to spend Willy nilly on a new phone. a lot of people in this sub use Xiaomi’s budget and mid range phones
Good for you I am unable to feel emotions, lol
Why does the gif from this link has the navigation pill and I don’t? Is it something that comes with MIUI 12?
Will it be coming to xiaomi.eu rom in next update?
Are they releasing versions as fast as their phone lineup now? Talk about flooding the market
Wow imagine if all the bitching and whinging commenters in this sub were to oh I dunno go buy an iPhone 11 or a Samsung galaxy s20 instead cos that’s obviously what they want right
It’s actually worse than that, they took the time to develop their on notifications stuff when stock Android works perfect, all they had to do was design their own notification style around that. I mean I’ve enabled autostart, display over other apps, and turned off battery optimizations and I still don’t get all discord notifications wtf Xiaomi.
Notifications are like… The bare minimum a phone should do lol.
Must be a slow learner like me.
No is not. Its based on MIUI china builds
Stutters and screen sometimes don’t respond. Also when switching btw apps, there is an image overlay for a bried moment. Android 9 felt faster and more responsive.
that notification arrangement seems better, the current notification system is not great when u have 30-40 notifications
Really hope they implement sorting by recent on gallery on MIUI 12
Its already on .eu weekly beta. Im already on it
I cri daily
So it’s not official rom from Xiaomi 😢
The “new” gestural navigation system coming in MIUI 12 is basically Android Q’s stock one. Google made its gesture implementation compulsory!
This is the latest version. Now youtube comes as split apk. Recent version on vanced site for non root devices are split apk.
They should fix the volume rocker that automaticaly volume down
that’s really weird. I’ve been completely fine. Snapchat was lagging like hell at first but I switched from using Fluid Navigation Gestures to Xiaomi gestures and it started working fine somehow
They have. I use the Wallpapers app from Google and it sets the correct wallpaper to the lock screen every day.
not everyone can afford an iPhone 11 pro or Samsung Galaxy S20 dumbass. people on this sub aren’t whining, we just want certain things (many of which are very reasonable) to be fixed about Xiaomi’s software. on top of that, Xiaomi also sells $1000 (or close to it) flagship phones that they use the exact same software for as their budget and mid range phones. it’s not unfair to ask for them to get their shit together and actually fix what’s important.
Yeah right, like why would anyone want its phone’s notifications to appear when he has a message or a comment or a reply on his comment? Especially on such a Social Media era.
And it’s not just about the notifications, which by themself are enough of a reason. It’s also about the phone’s functionality.
Notifications are like…the bare minimum a user should be worried about. Like it goes without saying that when u buy a new phone, the notifications should work 100% and be functional and the only adjustment you should do would be customization.
Any new phone user shouldn’t come against buggy notifications, or notifications showing up two and three times or notifications not even be shown at all.
I didn’t get u, sorry English isn’t my mother language
Or maybe it isn’t urs too 😛
The point here is I didn’t get whatchu mean
Same for the redmi 5 plus, we never got dark mode on miui11 🙁
Almost all then
Cause I have talked with lots of people(I don’t remember devices) having notification problems
I gotta make the joke again
“new notification system” Xiaomi?
How about a functional notification system?
Then how did you lol
Oh that’s a bad one
Hey how is battery life?
It’s a shame.
Such a rising and affordable company to make such mistakes.
And its not just the notifications, there are even more bugs, more minor I would say than the notifications and the whole thing really blows my mind
So I’m not alone, I thought I was the only one with that problem
Amen, brother.
I sad to install using “sai installer” with rootless option active in this app. I have Also the EU.
