Now we’re going to blame company for doing two lightings one to another for trying to recreate nazi symbol what’s wrong with internet these days
WWII only mentioned in my textbook when I’m on high school in the past, the history class mostly covers our national history. We rarely learning something like WWII or other international incident. Swastikas rarely shows up, let alone SS logo.
History class it’s like 2nd-class here, only got 2 hours lecture in school. We (at least in my country) pass the time in class learning science and math lol.
Good point, I didn’t think of that. Typically the circumstances and the intentions are valued at least to some degree. This is probably more common with the swastika as a religious symbol (see “Falun Gong”), I’m not a lawyer though, so YMMV. 😉
Tbh their symbol is simply 2 S’s , a lot of things will look similar without much thought.

Turbo charging – three lightning bolts
Not having a 27w charger to hand, I can’t test that part of it, but I tested with a bog standard charger from another phone and yeah, it only lit up with one lightning bolt.

There honestly aren’t many changes. Everything works exactly as it did before, but with additions. On my Mi 9 it’s a tad smoother as well. The update to Android 10/MIUI 11 was done quickly and nothing was lost.
It’s well worth it imo.

It’s not just two “s”, it’s the stylised “lightning bolt” nature of it (hence why it accidentally happened with a charging icon).
A lot harder to accidentally do than simply ‘ss’.

Have you updated to MIUI 11? The change came with that. Prior to that on my Mi 9, the fast charge symbol did indeed have a circle around it.

They’re Chinese. They don’t feel the need to (over)think things through. The over attention to wokeness hasn’t and isn’t likely to take hold in China.
It’s a double lightning bolt. That’s what it is and that’s what it looks like. Xaiomi aren’t in thrall to the snowflake “cancel” generation. Most of their business is in countries that haven’t been infected by that yet.
How much of your schooling do you remember decades after you left school (if we’re to take into account the average employee on Xiaomi’s design teams)? Specifically about historical events on the other side of the world that really didn’t have much or even any effect on your side?
I’m sure the average Chinese person remembers most of what they were told about Nazi Germany but forgets many of the tiny details, such as the logo for a long-dead paramilitary group.
