after hearing about the tarrifs having a huge impact on tech products (sorry for bringing politics into this), i decided to scrap my plan of saving up for a xiaomi 16 next year, and i have decided to buy a flagship soon, should i buy a poco f7 ultra (605$ in my country) or Xiaomi 15? (about 80 dollars more). notes:
– i use my phone all the time, so I’ll need something with good longevity and very good battery life (Xiaomi 15 is better in battery According to tests).
– I don’t like big phones, like my current phone for example (6.6 inch).
– the xioami stores in my country provide a free gift if you buy a xiaomi 15 (redmi buds 5 pro) while the f7 ultra does not come with free gifts.
– I’ve wanted the xioami 15 ever since it’s release and i will try to get it soon, but I have no confidence to ask my parents for it because I’m afraid they’ll think it’s expensive which is why i have the POCO F7 ultra as a Plam B.
what do you guys think i should go for? the xiaomi 15 or the F7 ultra? (i apologize again, this time for the very long post, i would appreciate it if someone actually read this post and gave their opinion of what i should choose between the 2 phones 😅).

Isn’t Poco F7 ultra 6.67” which is the same size as your device? Xiaomi 15 would be a better phone. Compact at 6.36”, better camera, cooling and more premium.
How about the Vivo x200 mini?
not available, if you exclude xioami from this conversation, then the only other flagships in my country are realme gt 7 pro (no dropped prices and same global price, 899$ i think? i don’t remember), s25 series also with their global pricing starting at 800$, and honor magic 7 pro at 887$ with free earbuds gift, however i found what might be the best flagship.
there’s this store in the capital that sells lots of phones imported from china, including gt 7 pro for 513$, and the vivo x200 pro (OriginOS) for 720$, but unfortunately i cannot get it because the capital is 3-4 hours away from my city :(, i think I’m just gonna go for the xioami 15 since it’s my best bet of getting a flagship.
my phone’s body is probably bigger than the F7 ultra because of the huge chin below the screen (i use an X4 GT)
I debated whether to wait for Poco’s F7 lineup, but got the Xiaomi 15 instead thanks to quite a good introduction deal (actually cheaper than I could get the F7 Ultra). I’m more than happy with my choice.
I really like its smaller size (the F7 is the same size as my sister’s X6 Pro, dad’s 12T Pro and many others in Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco lineup and actually feels really big) even though I have quite large hands. The battery lasts me about 2 days of medium usage and the camera on it is lovely.
Xiaomi 15 for 80 dollars more.
is there any overheating issues with the snapdragon 8 elite? though i probably wouldn’t mind because my current device heats up a lot and I’m used to it
It heats up during charging and when using cameras for a while, but it’s not anything uncomfortable.
If you can afford the Xiaomi 15
Get the Xiaomi 15, overall it’s better and if you can afford it, do it
