Hi guys, first post here!
I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the xiaomi 15 Ultra, but when i went to the local store to try it out using the zoom cameras to take portrait shots with the natural bokeh of the lenses (no portrait mode) with my friend as a subject, a dude was passing by in the background, facing the camera, and the smartphone decided to oversharpen his face in post. Since he was blurred due to him not being the subject, the result came out all weird. I was wondering if any of you was able to test out if this error can be replicated or if it was just a one time thing, since to me it would be important to know if this is a problem before i buy the ultra.

Buddy if you taken 10 photos, some will come out wrong.
Stop this obsession with perfection. And you yourself can replicate it with a friend’s help.
Even though I agree with the other comment that 10% is a weird bar, the 4.3x bokeh is pretty consistent, I threw a quick shot in a difficult lit restaurant and it came out well.

What 10% bar are you referring to?
Also I’m not questioning the quality of the bokeh, the situation I’m referring to is if you’re taking a picture of a person with the zoom cameras and in the background someone else is facing the camera, in my case the phone decided to apply sharpening to the face of the dude in the background, which of course was blurry to begin with due to the bokeh and so it was super weird, but again it happened on that single picture I took and it was in the store so I’m not sure if it’s something that happens always or if the phone got confused that one time.
Go to the store again and do it.
No I was in a store I don’t have the phone with me, I only took a few photos in the store itself just to test the camera.
Also, if I have to spend 1000+ on a phone it better not mistake someone in the background as the subject.
I’ve never seen it happen, and I’ve taken photos of people in the middle of Shanghai bund, so the background has thousands of people.
This is good to hear, thank you! It must have been an error in processing
