So i´m looking for my 3rd ever smartphone. 1st was a Nexus 5, owned it for 5 years. 2nd was a Oneplus 6T, bought at release and have since been using it.
I live in Portugal, so my choices in the market are limited.
Initially i was going to get the Oneplus Open 2, got delaided for 2026.
Then i was super exited about the Oneplus 13T… Its exclusive to China.
At the moment the options i´m considering are:
\- Oneplus 13 16GB/512GB Blue for 1000€;
\- Xiaomi 15 12GB/512GB for 950€.
I dont care much for the cameras, both are more that good enough. The perfomance is mostly the same.
The only noticible differences between is the battery being larger on the 13, i prefer OxygenOS over HyperOS, however i really like the size of the Xiaomi 15.
The perfect would be the Xiaomi running OxygenOS, but that never gonna happen.
Does anyone have feedback on HyperOS 2? How´s OxygenOS 15? Which one should i get?
By “Battery Optimization” you mean in normal use or the OS not keeping notification in the notification tray?
I’ve watched some reviews where HyperOS doesnt show the notifications of certain apps unless you do something on each app.
The split notifications isn’t bad and it IS a part of stock Android 15, not something that Xiaomi, Samsung and other companies have implemented. I don’t mind it on my Redmi Pad Pro, took a little getting used to but it works fine. Samsung gives the choice of a split or single slider in UI 7.
HyperOS works very smoothly on my Redmi Pad Pro tablet, it’s very close in smoothness to One UI.
Now HyperOS might be slightly different performance wise on phones, yet it should be smooth and operate without issues.
Go Xiaomi 15 you will love it
Then it’s probably still on Android 14
The only thing about HyperOS that i’m not too fond of, is the split notification slider, meaning, swipe top left you get notifications, swipe top right you get quick settings.
Is it possible to make it just one swipe?
Also isnt HyperOS more buggy?
HyperOS 2 is actually quite nice, it’s nearing the quality of One UI…
ColorOS sucks a$$
My friend uses X15 with EU rom installed. You will love it and it is on par with Oxygen. Battery optimization is the only thing that falls short of the Oxygen OS.
PS:- I’m from India
I’ve recently bought a Pixel 9a for my parent’s, and it doesnt have a split notification. It’s just one pull.
