So I got my earbuds like 11 months ago and I had no issues and my experience was very good. Today I came from work and I plugged my earbuds to my computer to charge them as usual after 1 hour it exploded and battery caught on fire, lucky we put it out fast. Now whole body is melted and idk what to do. Has anyone faced this kinda problem before?
Never faced that, also holy shit hope you are ok.
Try to return them or complain to the store you bought them from
Thank you for asking and hopefully I’m okay. My brother took a quick action and noone got hurt. I called customer service and asked them if they can give me new one but they asked me to call tomorrow morning. Let’s see what they are going to say. I hope they will give me new one!
Can you post a photo?
Can I reply a photo?
Ohh I see I’ll do it now
What’s the name/brand of the earbuds?
Holy shit. I thought this is a Samsung problem
Xiaomi earbuds
I didn’t know Samsung earbuds has the same problem
Omg, I have a similar pair of earbuds. Now I got a bit worried, thanks for posting this stuff.
Now I’m wondering that maybe they sold me some fake stuff and I hope it is not that.
Not the earbuds, samsung note 7 has a problem with the battery that explodes easily
I thought he ment something else lol
This is odd I still have mine Xiaomi earbuds that look similar to yours and they still work fine though I don’t use them as I replaced it with Anker Soundcore. Wonder if it was a fake or a just a bad batch.
the problem is not if they give you a new one, the problem is why did they explode, I wouldn’t want another one if I wasn’t given an explanation
It’s sarcasm BOI
The buds exploded or did the case explode?
are you from turkey? if so did you buy it off from trendyol??
Bro i don’t even wanna use my earbuds anymore
Omg ! That’s really funny but hope your ok ! Wow!
Many Xiaomi earbuds also have their fake replicas, and it’s really hard to seperate each other. From what I see, especially this model of Xiaomi’s earbuds had many replicas, so if that’s the case, we also know the reason why did they explode.
true it would probably explode like the last one and I wont taking that IED to home lol
It looks like the charging case’s battery went boom
RMA
batteries are batteries, the risk is always there, though it should not happen
Redmi Airdots
That’s comforting to read after getting mine *today*
Now I think my cat, who chewed through my previous headphones, is an even bigger asshole
Jeez louise. I was planning on getting that next week. Now im having second thoughts
It looks fake to me, according to a quick comparison I did, there should be a glossy beveled edge around each earbud and it’s just not there, yours just look matte, no reflective material anywhere.
Damn i have the same earbuds and one was not responding last night, when i wanted to use them, now I’m afraid to use them.
Yeah you’re right
Yeah I checked everything to see that it is fake or not and it looked orijinal to me idk man
Just make sure they don’t hear up when you charging
There is none reflection BC of they got caught on fire lol 😀
Yes I am and I bought it from hepsiburada
I wanna know that
Case exploded while charging and buds are stuck in the case now and I can’t picked them up BC of they melted
I’ll keep you guys informed if they sold me fake product or not.
Omg loooool
Idk what’s funny but I’m okay thanks!
What you say is really unbelievable. At least I’ve never met
Abi valla orijinalse daha büyük sorun. Şu anda kulağımdalar korkutuyorsun beni 😀
Looks like it was the battery of the charging case that ignited. Might be a short or heat or something.
Dude, do you have the pictures? You can sue xiaomi for that.
Yeah I have it you can find in comments
how is that funny
I’m afraid yours were fake, and that’s exactly why they overheated. Cheap fakes save a bit of money by omitting these kind of security measures. And that’s a shame, because the real Xiaomis are very cheap anyway. I’d blame the store who sold you these, for sure! (or blame yourself, if you got them for less than 30$ or so…)

Check if it’s original or fake
So this 😰 is a strict “pro” for wired buds 3,5″.😔
What powersource did you use?
I paid the full price and I read comments about them the buyers saying that they are legit
As I typed I used my computer
I have some similar ones from umidigi but I can’t use them because one of the drivers fell out(I only paid £8 for them lol), they look like a clone of these ones
Lipo batteries have a tendancy to swell over time. Any puncture or pressure on a lipo battery can cause a puncture resulting in a fire, unfortunately issues like this will happen more and more as wireless earphones and fitness trackers smart watches etc become more popular
Just to make this clear since you weren’t on the title and some people are now afraid of using their earbuds.
The earbuds didn’t explode, the case did.
In any case, anything in this world with a battery can explode. There’s literally no guarantee it won’t, doesn’t matter the brand, especially since no earphone brands make batteries anyway, meaning they all buy them from someone else, most of the time they buy it from the same companies.
There’s a million reasons why this can happen and many of those are the blame of the user. Not saying it is the case, but people don’t post shit online with details of how they fucked up, so even if it is their fault we probably would never know.
The OP should contact the company, or the store where he bought these (depends where he lives and his country law) to take care of this.
I mean it could possibly be the charger or the plug
Did u plug them in a charger that had a lot of amperes ? It might have been the joule effect
Ah sorry I read your post a bit lousy. That suprises me but I guess batteries are batteries, could be bad design. That’s why I like Samsung they’ve had their fair share of battery misshaps and hopfully build new ones with care.
Yeah you’r right I wrote wrong title but in the detail I told that the case exploded.
As I explain I plugged in my pc
Idk, but maybe it was a port with lot of amperes that fried it
I usually use my fast charging brick and it has more amperes then usb port and it was alright. I didn’t expect it to explode and caught on fire but here we are.
Well, bad luck. Was it inside the warranty?
Idk I’m trying to connect to customer service but noone picked the phone yet.
Could you list some wrong usage by users?
Something as simple as leaving the item in the sun, or dropping the item. Heat and physical damage can cause this to happen for example. Batteries are a delicate pack of chemicals, and just like most chemicals they like being in a balanced state, anything that takes them out of balance can cause them to just go crazy.
Hope you are ok. This earphone should be model E6S, which is one of the generic models for Xiaomi earbuds. The reason for exploded most likely is caused by the degradation of batteries and unstable current during charging. Hopefully, this may help.
I had gone out while charging my earbuds and when I came home the case and buds were melted and the battery exploded all over the table. Luckily there was no fire.
Maybe the earbuds case battery shorted out and it got a thermal runaway and it heated so much it exploded and caught on fire, this can happen in some phones too. And also, i have a Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 Lite.
My dad has that earbuds
