Hey guys,
Recently, I permanently deleted my photos from gallery and I’m trying to recover those photos. Then I noticed that even after delete all files, the app Gallery is using 180GB of my internal space.
This means the photos still on my phone in a hidden formart? If so, in which folder they could be? There’s an third party app who can see those files? There’s another way to recover?
And even not being able to recover, I would like to know why the Gallery App it’s using 180GB or what files inside the app are this huge.

Phone is a Poco X6 5G 256GB
Generally recovering files from a hidden folder requires root access if doing it on the device or specialist data recovery tools if being done on another device.
Key question is how much are you willing to pay to get it back?
Think clearly before you answer.
Doing it yourself will require you being prepared to access the phones system folders and take a lot of your time to locate that data, attempt to recover it and move it to another location.
For 80 GB I’d expect the recovery to run for at least a full weekend if not a whole week.
If you’re prepared to pay for it, a specialist can recover it much faster because they have the equipment to do it.
Budget at least 200 dollars for the recovery.
Our disk recovery people bill us about 3000 euros per drive and take a week to do the job.
You pick what matters most to you.
Understood 🫡. I’ll see the best option.
Thanks for the support
If you don’t want to recover why not factory reset the phone.
But I do want to recover it. This is all this thread about. Check the other comments and my replies.
Did you have some method to recover, you want to share?
Since you need to recover than should go through recovery mode by rooting the device. Best you do this through some expert because of not done properly could brick phone.
