After I updated to MIUI 12 my background changed to the red planet, but I changed the always on display icon and the one that came with the red planet doesn’t seem to be listed.
I don’t know how to put it back anymore.

Turn off dark mode
go to the full screen display in settings, and then select “hide full screen indicator”, that removes the white bar

It happened on me too. Did you try to download the apks to get the wallpapers early? I did that and I think because the theme app was user installed miui did not try to update it. Not sure tho everyone might have this bug and we need to wait for a theme app update to drop

Have the same problem…mars wallpaper wouldn’t update but was working kinda fine (sometimes stuttering on locked screen/lowering brightness) updated with apk and nothing changed…for the earth one the choose location was in chinese for me…i’m on 12.0.1 someone say that this will get fixed in 12.0.2 tho.
Update: noticed that the stutter happens everytime the clock (also a bit bugged) go on by a minute.
The red planet works, no need to update, just click it somewhere aside from the update button and apply it. For the meantime, lets wait xiaomi miui team to fix the issue.
I have the same problem… In the Earth theme, the Earth is darkened when it’s nightime in the lockscreen but the wallpaper remains dark all the time …

i didn’t have any troubles, but that might be because i already had the APK installed on MIUI 11? either way, when i was done updating, it automatically put the mars wallpaper 🙂

Neat background ya got! About the super wallpapers, you can get the apk if needed. I use the apk for them on my RN7, since I know I won’t get them officially on MIUI 12.
