xiaomi.eu is not official rom its fan made tweaked chinese rom.
What problem with k20? It is not a notched phones and as far as i know it doesn’t have notification issues? Status bar icons can be enabled in notification settings. Lock screen notification should be enabled for apps individually in miui. Missing notification probably works after disabling battery saver and enabling auto start.

Does this happen for every mail or just for mails under certain categories? I only get notifications for my main inbox, Promotions, Updates and other labels dont notify but this is a Gmail thing, not related with the OS

Not a massive change with miui 10, but it’s nice.
Have you checked that you have the right config under “App Notifications” in settings? For some reason, some of the apps that I use had everything but vibration disabled, so I had to enable lock screen and floating notifications for each channel of each app that I wanted to get notifications from
Yeah no global roms yet. There’s a Chinese version of MIUI 11 for Mi Mix 2S but not a global yet.

What they mean by that, it’s that… XIAOMI WILL ANNOUNCE in INDIA, the note 8 or whatever that version they’ll release as well as MIUI 11 global stable rollout. Just because the event’s in india it says in India. “Global, In India”, that’s what they meant
