you are very lucky i got a glitchy buggy mess with half the features I was promised
/r/titlegore
MIUI 11 is essentially MIUI 10 but with more bugs
Nice to heard that. Its Lagui12 on me.
Well I don’t have The new gestures I don’t have ultra battery saver and the new recents menu and the floating app mode. I have redmi 6 pro Sakura which has a global version of mi 8 lite I think
I need to buy a new phone soon and Xiaomi was on top of my candidates, but man, keep reading about these software issues is really changing my mind
Yeah the other brands are better in software i think. What is your other candidates.
Do you have screen lag issues because I am thinking of buying this phone.
I’m using Mi8. Will I take update?
Can you see “daily data usage” in control center?
Got it on my note 10 lite 2-3 weeks ago, and it’s a superb experience.
Interesting to hear how people’s experiences differ so much. Honestly makes me scared to update.
I get the buggy version of miui 12 in my mi note 10 lite
Same for me. MIui 12 works perfectly, no idea what is all the whining about.
To those who complain about software issues, glitches can happen to any brand. Update, factory reset and wipe all data (except sd card) and you will have a brand new phone that works as intended.
Unfortunately it’s waay over my budget! Mi 10 Lite is already at the max cost I am able to afford
I have a Motorola right now, low specs and they don’t update android so much, but very reliable smartphone and optimized software.
I am looking into Realme, a friend of mine has a Realme 6 and the OS seems quite nice with no problems. But on the hardware xiaomi is unbeatable at the same price point
I encountered this problem on my newly bought and updated mi note 10 lite too, a factory reset was able to make the experience a little bit smoother. I still sent the phone back, I don’t want my next 2+ years with a phone to be filled with stress and bugs.
I bought a mi note 10 lite and instantly updated it to MIUI 12, had the screen lag problem on my first day. To be fair, you can disable the edges from receiving any touch input and after I did that I didn’t encounter this problem again, but I’m really sure that I didn’t touch any edges while this problem was happening… So unfortunately, this problem still exists under MIUI 12 (Btw, I sent this phone back)
How do you disable it? Does your typing sometimes go coo coo and need to lock unlock the screen to normalize it? It’s my problem since day 1. I’m not able to return my phone yet but I still have 10months in my warranty though
Like I said, there is a setting that prevents the edges from receiving touch inputs. I set it to the maximum value. This could potentially fix the problem if they were caused by accidential touch presses on the edges, which I doubt. And yes, I couldn’t write properly and fast. I made many mistakes and it was really frustrating trying to fix them while still having this problem. I didn’t really try locking and unlocking the phone, but I think this didn’t fix it for me
Thank you for the suggestions.
Unluckily in my country OnePlus and Pixel prices are over my budget, so I cannot consider them.
As for the xiaomi phones, yes I considered them all:
Poco X3 NFC : Insane quality/price ratio, I can defenetly spend more than what it costs, but for what it gives in terms of harware is probably the best deal.
Mi note 10 Lite: I compared this to the Mi 10 Lite for long, and, being at similar price in my country, I think I would go for the 10 Lite based on my necessities, but it’s a valid alternative.
Redmi Note 9 Pro is also one of the candidates I had of Xiaomi, some months ago I read about wifi issues, I hope they fixed that now
Install custom rom. One that is like stock if you like stock android or if you don’t want to trouble yourself buy some other phone
I really don’t care about 5G, I find Mi 10 Lite appropriate because of the processor, so that I can hopefully have performance in the years to come (I usually keep my smartphone for a long time if it doesn’t stop working). Also it is a lighter than the Mi 10 Note lite and redmi note 9 pro, weight is a downside for me, especially if it goes above 200gr, I am coming from a 155gr, 5” phone ahah)
I am looking forward to the new Realme 7/7 Pro you mentioned, at the moment they didn’t arrived in my country but I think it is a matter of time.
Huawei is not a brand I like but I will look up the P40 Lite!
I considered Custom ROMs, but I am not comfortable to flash a custom rom while on warranty, I prefer to keep the certanty that I can return my phone in case of any problems(like hardware issues), but it is something I can consider after the 2 years period of warranty
I understand. The best way is to buy some other phone. I don’t have that much issues on my MIUI except a laggy animation sometimes but i installed pixel experience because i just like stock android design better. My phone is in warranty but i can always go back to MIUI again
There is no huge difference between 765G and 730G. 765G is like overclocked 730G and you don’t feel the difference. If you want more powerful phone you can check S10 series.
I just bought a Mi 10 Lite 5G, updated to MIUI 12. The screen isn’t very responsive, which is really annoying.
Using Miui12 on my Mi Note 10 lite, and honestly I haven’t had a single stutter ever. Wonderful experience!
What about battery backup?
miui 12 feels so much smoother. it also fixed the annoying ghost/delay touch in my note 10 lite but still cant type perfectly for some reason (i always mistype letters etc.). Also the SOT is so bad. I think ill revert back to GSI roms.
But once you unlocked the bootloader, are you able to lock it again? If not, they could realize you flashed a custom rom, right?
The fact about hte Mi note 10 lite is that I never tried using a curved display, I don’t know if I might like it. It’s heavier(but smaller, that’s a plus for me), you own it right? Why would you say it’s better than the mi 10 lite? (Being at the same price point, more or less)
Ouch, that’s bad. Didn’t read about it. Are you sure you don’t have a faulty display?
You can relock your bootloader again after unlocking, just don’t do it while you’re on custom rom because you can brick your phone. Also you can install MIUI again after installing custom rom and after installing MIUI you can lock your bootloader again
Also on xiaomi phones unlocking your bootloader does not void warranty. Xiaomi phones are some of the best if you want to have complete freedom on your phone
Another Xiaomi hoaxe.

90% of posts in this Reddit are questions or problems people have about their phones. Don’t be discouraged by this. I bought a Mi9 Lite about a year ago and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Mi note 10 lite user here, when I bought the phone I didn’t started to use it right away, I waited for MIUI 12 to kick in, after I updated my phone I factory reset it and set it up afterwards, since then it doesn’t misses a beat plus the Gcam on it takes perfect pictures.
Try looking up huawei nova 5t, it got kirin 980(snapdragon855>kirin980>snapdragon845), a decent camera, still has google services, and is cheaper than realme 6 pro. It also got a better build quality than my past realme 6 pro.
Thank you,
PixelCam Plus 7.3.020 V2.0
Honesly I am not a photo junkie so I can’t give you a detailed review about how it works but so far one thing that I find out: to display pictures I don’t use Google photos (app locked) , I am using MI gallery app, so for the pictures that take with Gcam I set the MI gallery app as default, when I want to preview the pic, MI galley opens the picture on the third try, it shots itself of on the first and the second try, I hope it helps.
I hope they fix it completely because it is a really good phone but the software is bad
Hello, on my Note 10 lite I have problem with reloading/refreshing all apps even if I using app right now. For example i’m on chrome and suddenly refresh page, home launcher and all other apps =refresh not kill, maybe every half hour … I try autostart, disable miui battery saver still same result
Because people come here to complain.
If everything is working fine you won’t make a post about it, why would you?
I have a Mi Note 10 Lite and it’s flawless, i’ve been on MIUI 12 for weeks and haven’t encountered a single bug, and the whole phone is awesome, even my gf who prefers iphones said it was a great choice because it’s so good and she can’t believe how cheap it was.
Look around other subs, I’m pretty sure you’ll find a lot of posts about bugs.
I know that here come the people with bugs, but I am interested in reading in this sub also to see how Xiaomi supports their older devices. I think it is a clever thing to do when you want to buy something, right? I do not read posts of people with obvious manufacturing defects in their hands, but I want to see how Xiaomi develop the OS and how the updates behave.
I am aware that the majority of Xiaomi owners don’t come writing here, I have some friends with some Redmi Note series phone and their are quite happy, this is one of the reasons I am considering Xiaomi in the first place.
What other subs do you suggest about this?
After updating to MIUI 12 how much a full charge is lasting
> I think it is a clever thing to do when you want to buy something, right?
I agree, just keep in mind that even if 9 out of 10 posts are about bugs and faulty devices that doesn’t mean 90% of Xiaomi phones have a flaw. So keep doing that, just don’t pay attention to every post.

/r/Xiaomi is the biggest one, but there’s also /r/MIUI that you could check out, or the related communities in the FAQ has subreddit for almost every devices out there: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/wiki/index#wiki_related_communities
Our maybe go to XDA.
