I really can’t let get of my mix2s either , everything just doesn’t feel rite , dissapointed in the 3 , dying they don’t make the 4 mechanical.
TBH I bet it was completely scrapped and they’ve had a rethink and thought “Oh Sh\*t we better make this phone”. If so I hope they do a fantastic ~~good~~ job, something similar to Mi Mix 3 with updated appropiate specs for the time of release.
You know what would be the ultimate gimmick in 2019? A really good regular phone.
That was logical. Mix is their popular flagship series, and they cant do only one with 2800$ price tag, as it was only a concept phone.

Yeah thats why I am dumping my xiaomi phone and getting a Mate 20 X.
Battery life could be better, camera could be better. Two huge things right there.

I have a Xialmi max 2 and a mix 2s. But I won’t upgrade to another xiaomi phone because they stop making new Max phones.

Basically like the Mi Mix 3 (5G version hardware) with 108MP camera + OIS, 90hz and inscreen fingerprint scanner. Slider like Mix 3 or popup like 9T either way no notch. That would be perfect for me.

It’s all good but all the sensors are bloody terrible. Ambient light where your hands go, proximity sensor that just flat out doesn’t work etc.
Gcam does wonders for the camera too.
The Max 3 is pretty great and is getting quite cheap nowadays.

Snapdragon 660 is pretty fast for regular usage, well except if you’re a hardcore gamer. Or maybe loves doing AR gimmicks.

I hope they bring under display camera that they teased early this year…. That would be mind blowing… Edge display is suck can’t put tempered glass properly… 90% phone user pretty sure will use tempered glass…

Are waterfall screens really cutting edge, though? Maybe I’m just not appreciating it enough, but if I get to choose one kind of screen for “balls to the wall” I’ll go for the LG Flex type of curve instead of “impossible to fucking hold” waterfall.

If under screen camera is production ready, it would show up on mulitple chinese flagship phones at the same time. It’s just how things work now.

I think the ultimate gimmicks in 2019 would be: 108MP camera + 90Hz + >90% screen body ratio + underscreen selfie camera. All in one package. Dunno if Mi Mix 4 could achieve that tho, but we can hope.
Not this year sound pretty clear to me.
