my mi 6 potrait mode works surprisingly well, are you sure the issue is not contained in the mi mix 2s itself? I’ve seen plenty of Mi A1 potraits and they look great, and on the mi 6 its pretty usable with GOOD lighting, I agree that its horrendous with the lack of OIS and really REALLY crappy software processing, in medium contrast situations my pictures are over exposed!
Tnxs!
18H stand by and 5-6H SOT
OFFTOPIC: How is the battery performance? Thinking in change my mi5 for one of these.
I think it’s too buggy 😉
Agreed, oil painting on 5t is horrible
The GCAM port that works for the OnePlus 6 also works for the mi mix 2s, check it out and let me know what you think
Lol me too.
Any shot with the hands on waist or akimbo, the triangle inside is in focus.
I thought I was the only one with portrait mode built-in.
I’m a former Pixel 2 owner and knows how good a result can be with one lens and good software. The Mix 2s portrait mode is 90% of the time rubbish. I’m eagerly waiting for a functional Gcam port so the main sensor can be used for portrait mode. The Mix is using the Tele lens that is not stabilized. Indoors I’ve yet to capture a usable picture with portrait mode.
It’s camera is better than my eyes.
Could be just imgur compression.
Some has been auto enhanced in Google Photos, other has been edited with deep blue enhancement also in Google Photos. One or two has been edited with stock beautify enhancement yes.
Are these photos edited?
Looks good indeed, but I can’t help but notice the blotchy purple artifacts on the shadows. Seems like most Xiaomi phones have that weakness.
Oh, yeah. But I zoomed (as much as I could on the Android app) and it looks great, unlike OnePlus 5T photos that look like oil painting.
That it looks unreal but great
It looks really good! I guess Xiaomi really did a good work with their cameras (I haven’t seen any previous Xiaomi phone with more than decent cameras).
Btw, what do you mean with “paints a picture”?
