Solution: just suck on them! Like literally put yout mouth on them and suck it. It works.
I know there’s many question surrounding the Mi Earbuds/Airdots issues but I’m afraid mine could be a factory issue.
I got them today and they worked really fine, but suddenly the sound on the left side was really low and lacking quality. I reseted them several times and I realized that a big part of the complaints are about the pairing, not the volume. Please someone help me. I bought it on Ali Express so I can’t contact the seller really well. And, yes, I’m pretry sure they’re original.
TL;DR: I think my problem is not pairing, but something else. They pair but left side sound is very low while right is normal.
Brother, i thought it was an april fools prank. It literally works as you said. Just suck the hell out of the problematic earpiece and viola…. Just like new. Thanks a lot, you just saved me time and 40 euros.
Keep sucking eventually it works
The solution works so well and not just mi earbuds, even after 5 year , ill never forget this experience
It actually worked! I was laughing by myself on the bus…. Thank you!
I‘ve had the same problem, tried the sucking method but sadly without any luck. So out of fustration i just threw the bud on the ground with all my strength, and now it works just perfectly fine
This proves that you need to trust everyone on the internet. You never know
Yeah, it worked 😅
Omg Thank you 🙏
what the fūck…
I bought mine a week ago, and out of nowhere, this happened, I can’t believe to suck on it, actually worked 😂😂
THANK YOU! This just might be the filthiest yet the most effective tech tip I have ever gotten
haha, fixed mine as well. loool
Just joining the team “it worked, this is disgusting”. Cheers mate
HI SO I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE JOKING BUT IT TOTALLY WORKED LOL. I wonder why does it work tho… Maybe it has something to do with the pressure?
I can’t believe that this was actually the solution…. I got the Tour Pro 2 and after a while it used to be the left ear then it went back to normal after a day and then the right ear started having this issue for about 7 months now… I thought this solution you guys gave was a troll but I took off the rubber tip, put my shirt over the opening and sucked 🥲 still can’t believe that this was the solution…..
Still works 5 years later, just sucked the left earbud and it’s restored to factory conditions.
If you’re looking for a hygienic solution then grab a nozzle cleaning needle for a 3D printer (they go in sets for couple bucks on Amazon), use a magnifying glass with good light and carefully clean the clogged holes in the earbuds. Just don’t go too deep as you could damage the membrane. Don’t forget to disinfect the needles once finished.
I’ve been able to restore the volume for my Buds 3 pro and they sound like new!
holy shit it worked
You’re welcome! I’ve reported this exactly here for this purpose! Glad I could help! It’s amazing that sometimes some problems seems so complicated and then we found that the solution is quite simple! Hope you had a great Christmas! Happy new year! 🤍❤️🥂
Dunno if you are still reading the responses to this… but thank you. Got some new headphones and I was ready to attempt the top posted solution of this topic (sucking the headphone tip).
Then I saw your post and checked the accessibility menu. My sound balance cursor was exactly in the middle, however upon moving it a bit away and then re-placing it in the mddle, it started working fine.
Thanks again!
I can’t believe it actually worked. oh man it’s unbelievable
I have redmi buds 4 lite and it still works
Holy crap. It works hahahaha. In my case it was the right side.
You don’t need to really put your lips on it, just barely touching and really suck the air like a straw. Do it until the volume level is the same between them.
I had to deactivate the pause function when one of them is removed from the ear to compare the volume level between them.
This actually works wtf xD thank you 🤘
What in the actual fuck. There is no reason for sucking the earbud to actually fix the problem……. But it actually fixes it
i thought it was a joke but it worked! thank you
Hahaha glad I could help
Another life has been changed i love you🙏🙏 at one point i thought my ear on one side was going deaf
Yup, just did the same and worked. I’ve been struggling with this for months!
Bruh, it worked like a charm… Even better and louder than the opposite ear.. hahaha
Why the hell this works?
Thanks ! It worked somewhat (still not as loud as the other bud tho…)
I removed the rubber and sucked as if it was a straw
doesn’t work for me. How are you supposed to suck on it ? On the speaker part or something else?
Works lmao was about to rma mine. Glad I found this
The guy saying suck on them is a fucking genius man
Solution worked. got to suck pretty hard though.
What the heck, Disgusting but worked instantly, crazy
you sir, save me money and time, thank you very much
same I swear
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD holy shit, works on Mi True Wireless Earphones 2
I thought all these it worked comments were part of the troll but damn, it really does revive ur earbuds damn
Didn’t work for me
U are a genius. Just one little tip for all of u:
suck it WITH RUBBER on earbud. I first tried w/o it and it didnt worked. After i placed rubber back on, i sucked again…IT WORKED. Ty so much man.
it worked!!!!!
It actually no joke worked you have to feel for a tiny click of some sorts
Im so happy i found this lmao
Broooooo, thanks, suck that fuckers xD, it worked.
it works…HOW!!!
I think that Xiaomi just wants the customer to know it’s position in this relation xD
NO DUCKING WAY hahahaha why it worked!? ahahhahaLMAAAAO
OMG,,, the solution works!! its like a rpc ,, only suck a few times and try,,, this s\*\*t works!
Mi Earphones 2 Pro here, I hate it that even 2 years later this problem still persists and that THIS actually fixed them. My mouth will never forget the taste…
Still works😅
It works on mi air 2s fking no way dude 2 years and still thanks!
Worked for my buds 4 lite wtf
May god bless you i never thought this, life saver frr
I can’t believe this actually worked. I felt so silly doing it.
I’m so happy that my old earbuds aren’t broken though. Thank you hehe.
Space engineer? That’s so cool!
Well, I’m not nearly as qualified as you but my guess is because sometimes with impact and mundane use things can loosen up inside the ear plug and sucking on it puts pressure in and brings things back to their initial positions. But you tell me! Glad the post helped
Space Engineer here. Just stopped Lurking reddit and commented a post to say that sucking an earbud totally solved my problem. Still figuring out why.
it didn’t work. I had nothing to lose ,since one off the earbuds not working properly, so i put a drop of isopropyl alcohol on the sound exits, waited a minute and blew with a can of air, problem solved.
Im glad, dont forget to wash your mouth xD
Still cant believe it worked.
I hate that it worked.
I’m too scared to suck them. LET’S FUCKING TRY.
Edit: I don’t know if it’s some kind of placebo tomfoolery but i think it worked. WTF LMAO
OMG , It worked !!
Dead post but can confirm lmao, it didn’t work at first, it eventually got fixed
it works XD NOWAY
How the hell did sucking on them work.
thank you bro…so kind of you…..not joking…but it worked
Actually worked! Thanks!
OMG, this worked :DDDD this is so weird lol
It really worked thanksssss!!!!!!
it fucking works lmao
What a f\*\*\*ing disgrace… I thought it was a troll, but it worked… Just saved my some money!! Thank you my good user!
Ok so the sucking method did not work.
But beating it up with the bristles of a toothbrush worked instead lol
By the way dont suck too much ( it makes it worse and krispy when that happens blow inside the speaker
I thougt it wouldnt work because ,how does it work? how is sucking will fix it but strangely it works just put your lips gently to the speaker and suck it and it works just fina
Thank You
LOL I’m glad it worked!!!
i was like “what the actual fuck”, then i read the comments and i was still like “what the fuck”
well it worked so i’m not “what the fuck” anymore but “FUCK YEAAAAH” now
Wow it really works! Tks!
Bless you, never have I thought I’d have to suck on a headphones in my life… yet here I am. Thank you. Works.

Okay this is the funniest thing happened to me in years, thanks to the guy who said to succ it
it works!!! Thanks
What the….. Sucking the earphone, and sucking it really hard, WORKED!!!!!!!!!! It really did….!! 🤯🤯
Had the same issue, I can’t believe it actually worked
holy shit it works
You are the best I love uuu❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
For anyone who didn’t have any luck with sucking (lmfao) just pull off the little elastic thing that separates your ear from the earbud and stick something relatively long and thin in. Pull out any ear wax/dust/anything that is in there possibly blocking the path.
If sucking doesn’t work just take out the little black circle thing it worked for me
In all of my in ear headphones after 6 months it is always has reduced volumes by 50 percent and I tried to clean it with alcohol and it didn’t work, only way is ripping little pad that sounds come from,it always works.
Ill be damned, thank you! Worked like a charm.
What the f***** that worked! Thank you! I didn’t use them for a few months because of that!
Holy shit, it worked for me too!!
Obviously take the rubber thing off before you commence the suck
Lolololol suck it ‘ worked 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
NO WAY! It actually worked! I’ve had this problem for months and I was thinking about buying new ones, thank you, you made me save some money!
What the heeeeellll omg no waaaaayy aaayyy it worked
Thankssssss alot ❤️ almost bought a new one
Yes lol
Also, I did this besides the original solution, and i must say this improved the sound quality, thanks alot
It’s just my same thought, but worked like charm lol lol
i’m so happy for you!! ❤️
Just had to sign in, especially to say thank you … it worked like charm — for two weeks, nothing worked, but this did – i did technical solutions and even tried the vacuum cleaner solution thing — but this was to the point thanksssssss a million ❤️
It works!!!
yes!!! sometimes the answer is the simplest one haha
yayy!!! hahaha
10 days I am trying to figure it out. I tough buying new earphones. This worked 😅
This is unbelievable! How?
oh my god i thought you people were trolling but it actually worked
You have to be kidding me with this. Either the vendor just wanted to make fun of the customers by inventing it this way or the repairing engineering will never change.
I remember a story told by one my from University professors. There was a machine that stopped working, technicians and engineers that were on site weren’t able to repair it. At some point they called a very smart engineer. He came he inspected the machine a little and he hit it as hard as he could. The machine was working once again.
It might be a myth, but as of now I start to think of it as something that you should be taught in engineering classes. HIT THE DAMN MACHINE
TL;DR sucking is the answer to all problems
Man this is why I love internet. Some random person says just suck and that fixes it you try and it actually works KEKW
hahaha i’m glad
Bruh what the actual fuck it worked.
Worked for me too. Even tho the earbud looked decently clean it obviously wasn’t. I used a wet wipe and a q-tip to get rid of the dirt and then sucked on it and now it works perfectly. THANK YOU
>!lol it worked !<
It works if you suck it!
I think its becaus air cant get into them for base so you have to suck them to clear that way
Sucked my TW Earphones 2 Basic and it unbelievably worked!
lmao it worked for me too
that was nasty but it fucking worked
Thank you!
lol, worked for me. That’s the most disgusting IT support advice I’ve ever tried, but if it works, it works 😅
WHAT THE FUCK I JUST FIXED MY EARPHONE BY SUCKING IT
Lmao I did it lightly at first but nothing happened. Then I saw your comment and I was like…..well it’s broken already, what could go wrong 😂 and it freaking worked!
Ok, this is the best advice I’ve ever received when it comes to tech.
really helpful
Did you manage to do it?
Ah okay, thanks for the help.
You’re not suposed to put a lot if water in it. Just on that surface where the sound comes out if. Those little holes. Dont put the water in it. Just get that particular suface wet. With some cotton or a q tip.
Wouldn’t water damage the internals?
Does not need to be super specific even water would work, but alcool is just better for cleaning in general. You just need to hit that layer with something humid to help break it down and clean where you are going to put your mouth. Alcool does both.
Isopropyl at 99%+ concentration right?
Just clean it, put your lips around it and suck until you feel air flow.
It is not a joke. And i dont know how you would use a vacuum on such a small device. By cleaning the surface with alcool and sucking you will be breaking the wax surface that will form after continous use. That surface is very thin but very good at absorbing sound, making the sound come out much lower.
5 months late
Wouldn’t a vacuum work better here, since they have so much more power
Or is this some elaborate joke that I am about to fall for
Dude, thank you, I’ve been having this problem for months and this fucking thing worked just fine
Bruh…I was literally going to buy new ones and did this right now as a last-ditch effort. It fricking worked!
You’re welcome! Glad it helped!
I now have redmi airdots 3. They’re disappointing now that so many other companies sell TWS. Next time I’ll probably go for Samsung or Sony
Thanks man. It helped.
I can’t believe this actually work, wth
wtf it worked!!! 💀💀💀
Omg it worked I am amazed
It worked for Mi TW earphones 2s!!!!
it works !!!!!
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!! I thought you were trolling but it works!!! I sucked my left earbud (covered by my shirt because iugh) and worked!
It still didn’t worked for me..
It worked for earphones 2 pro too
Wtf it actually worked! Thx very much stranger!
I can confirm, btw if it doesnt work at first just keep doing it harder it will eventually work xD
Worked like charm! You should get the Nobels prize.
IT F**ING WORKED!!!
OMG I HONESTLY CANT BELIEVE THAT WORKED
I had the same problem. And the “suck ” thing worked. Just put your mouth around where the sound comes out and suck the air. The low voume is caused by a layer of earwax and dust in those litle holes where the sound comes out of, that hardens and muffles the sound. Sucking will help clear the canal. Hope it helps.
My left earphone had lower sound over the right one, my problem was hard to find but eventually I got it, the issue was that somehow I’ve tempered with the sound balance at Definitions>Accessibility>Hearing enhancements on Android device.
Jesus… it took me forever but I’ve found the culprit.
Just passing by reporting this if anyone have the same issue.
Cheers!
Lol I just sucked my left earbud and it worked
OMG, I can’t believe it worked 🙂
never thoght this would help. Many thanks!
It actually works haha
I fixed the low volume in my earbud by sucking it on the tip where the sound comes from
Lmao what
I would’ve never thought of that
Worked for me too lol
Thanks, it worked for me too.
still working thx 🙂
Lmaoo thanks it’s working suck earbud fixed it. 💪💪
I know this reply is 2 years, too late. But I’ve been having the same problem and literally doing everything until I sucked on the earbud and it suddenly worked…
What do you mean suck????
I have the same problem. What do you mean suck???
Bruh what the fuck, how does it even work? I guess there is some part that gets pushed back or something and sucking it brings it forward so you can hear it again. Bruh
OMG, THAT JUST WORKED, thank you, this is the best solution ever.
my right earphone sound is very silent compared to the left one. but it’s the one that i use the most. nothing is stuck in, any ideas how to solve this?
compressed air, toothbrush, toothpick… avoid metal like pins if possible to avoid shorting your port
*edit* or are you asking about cleaning the bud itself? idk same thing but gentler?
that happens to anyone else, something stuck at port is classic problem lol
i got an xbox controller and tried to pair with my pc. didnt realise theres a pairing button. spent hours trying to troubleshoot before someone mentioned the button on a forum post i made.
It’s solved, thank you. Apparently somenthing was stuck to the earbud lol. I feel stupid
It was not a pairing problem. I tried everything and now I feel stupid: I saw a comment online saying to try and suck the earbud and it worked. Lmao
Ask your seller for warranty/replacement?
Try unpairing and repairing. Try with other devices
