Did the factory reset as you said🤣
It looks like Xiaomi is prioritising MIUI over Android One, far over it. They consistently update MIUI phones and often push buggy updates to Android One phones, which makes out 3 of their phones. Well, they can put ads in MIUI anyway (they can be disabled tho), but with Android One they can do next to nothing.
Yes, I know they were bought 7 years ago.
They have since been sold and Microsoft hasn’t been involved for years.
Egypt on the way 📀
*Whistles impatiently for A2*
And redmi note 8?
Not for EU…
What? That’s not the same Nokia that makes phones.
Nokia that manages the phones is now HMD global and has nothing to do with Microsoft.
Yeah, too bad my camera is kinda broken (hardware-wise)
Then why do they release these phones lol
Downloading now. 1.33 Gigs
Edit – paused download. Reading reports of folks still having issues with this new release as well. sigh.
And mi a2 lite? i am checking updates several times per day.
Got the update, so far, so good.
I got the MiA1 just because I was expecting custom ROM support (and in fact right now I’m on Android 10 with March security patches). Never expected Xiaomi to prioritize Android One over MIUI, that’s where the make money.
Hopefully? Hope it won’t crash.
“Nothing is fixed” – like?
***Cries in redmi note 7***
All around me are familiar faces, with mi a3 updaatees, mi a3 updaaateeeeees 🙁
Mi A2 and got it like…3-4 days ago
Consider a Nokia if you are looking for a good value phone.
Their new X.3 series doesn’t seem bad and it seems Xiaomi is raising their prices, at least for the their flagships.
Nokia isnt bad, they have frequent updates with no delays and they have already updated many of their phones to Android 10. If anyone wants simple working device, Nokia is good option.
Which rom should I get?
Its so funny that MIUI is more customized OS and has less issues in comparison with Android One on Mi A2. I had Mi A1, wonderful device with great look, performance and ROM support. This was great, but A2 and A3 are not. Full of bugs and issues sadly. Lets hope for fixes soon.
mi a4 when
Is there a download link anywhere for the OTA?
Brickware
Any problems?
Any huge benefit aside of the famous dark mode?
It seems they are quite consistent in their release dates. So July/August if you look at A2/A3 as examples
Android 9 was so good. No complaints.. everything ran smoothly and then there was this crappy update..
Device is heating up and it’s very very laggy..
Battery which used to come for a whole day now lasts less than 6 hrs..
Also HATE the change from rounded corners to the square ones.. really really annoying.
Wish I could just revert to Android 9..
I’m okay to live without dark mode rather than to use this crap..
Also isn’t dark mode supposed to increase the battery life??
🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
hopefully never.
After updating also things are not stable, my Instagram app is not responding, I am not able to download anything in WhatsApp and there is some issue related to battery drain. camera is also not that up to the mark.
At the time (mid 2017) it was the only Xiaomi device available in my country (the full lineup was officially sold only since 2018). And at 170€ was the best bang for my buck.
A1 is a great phone, I also got myself Gcam and it could make wonderful shots.
Have you downloaded it?
Why did you buy a “costlier” A series device if you were going to slap a custom ROM on it it anyway? 😅
i feel you
