Interesting, so the MiA3 will be more powerful than the Mi9T 🤔
What makes sd730 more powerful than sd730 if I may ask ?
How will it be more powerful if it has the same CPU?
Take all current news with a pinch of salt. Hopefully Mi A3 will be announced by next month. 🤞
Well, supposedly it should be a lighter OS with additional perks from Daddy Google
If there is an A3 it’s extremely unlikely that it will not be released this summer.
That literally doesn’t mean it will have more power though, you must realise that?
Hell yes! I also read that they’re (hopefully) going to slap a FHD+ screen on it as well – none of that 720p nonsense that was initially reported. I will 100% be buying one.
Please add tmobile bands!
That would make 0 sense. Maybe there is an A3 Lite with 720p+ as last time.
Makes sense for Google to have propietary optimizations for it’s Android One phones
Why not the Mi 9T?
Mi a2 lite has a fhd+ display
Except miui is plenty smooth and rival pixel os a lot.
Hell, even Oneplus has a smoother rom than google IMO.
How do you think the camera performance will be? Vs the Mi a3
Oh ok. Well anyways, the normal A3 will 100% have FullHD+
I dont know what months ‘summer’ is for you (im in australia)… but i would not be surprised if it is within 1-2 months from now… the mi a2 was released july 2018… mi a1 was released september 2017
I really don’t know, I think it will be a bit lower prices however. Camera wise phones and especially budget phones still don’t have excellent cameras.
Haha, from my experience it feels pretty steady.
Thanks for the brief answer! I am looking for a phone max 350€ with the best camera/ no notch and in screen fingerprint reader I can get, thinking about the Mi 9t so far.. Should I wait? Do I have any other options?
It’s not on mi a2
I think the camera on 9T is good enough for the price, where are you going to use those photos for?
There are better camera alternatives, the Pixel 3a for example but higher priced.
Only thing keeping me from buying Mi 9T is because I don’t really like MIUI and prefer stock Android. Other than that, I’d 100% buy it.
You would think that but no. The culprit is xiaomi in my opinion. They still have to enable some stuff like cam2api and L1 but never did for mi A2 because miui is a priority.
I like to have the closest to vanilla though so looking forward to this release. If it doesn’t have 730 I’ll go to mi 9t for sure and drop a custom Rom, but I’d prefer to avoid any tinkering if I can.
That still doesn’t give it more power, it makes it more efficient if that even is the case. It would be like saying two cars with the exact same engine have different power output because one does better MPG than the other.
Does the triple camera = it has a wide angle sensor?
Won’t it get lineage?
I won’t be betting that the Mi A3 would have expendable storage. The Mi A1 has it but it got removed in Mi A2.
This or wait for pocophone 2?
Bad news buddy. The pocophone will never come…
Why what happened
They decided to continue the Redmi line. The K20 pro is Called the poco F2 by the community
Now I need to see that, link?
Oh finally a headphone jack.
This might be the phone to upgrade my R4P to.
DNG Processor is quite slow on a Snapdragon 625.
Yes, it’s the true 3 camera line up: main 48mp, telephoto, wide angle
Yup came here to say the same thing. My A2 doesn’t. Dunno if the A3 will..
the CC9e is packed with the 720p bs which is very disappointed for people looking for small phone.
a2 never had it. what makes you think a3 will?
It probably will but I have next to zero experience with custom ROMs. Is it easy to flash it?
How will this compare to Mi 9T? Same 4000mah battery or less battery like Mi A2.
Based on the cc9 specs it should come packed with a 4030 mAh battery. If we’re just talking batteries here.
I really hope micro sd support in both phones
nice! looks like this will be my next phone
Once you get past the “what if I break it” mentality it’s easy. As a matter of fact, it’s quite hard to software kill Xiaomi phones.
Basically, first you unlock the bootloader using Mi Unlock (a request to do it might take up to 720 hours though, last time I checked).
The you install fastboot+adb on your computer, connect your phone, reboot to fastboot, run one command `fastboot flash recovery file_with_recovery.img`, reboot your phone to recovery and then you get nice and intuitive menu where you can do whatever you want.
Get the ROM, Gapps, maybe Magisk if you want root, wipe the phone (data, system, vendor, caches). Instead of wiping data you might need to format it, if it was encrypted, so you will lose all data on your internal storage.
Click install, choose ROM, then choose Gapps, then Magisk. Wait, reboot and you’re done.
Thank you, feeling more confident with my phone now:)
You know you can easily throw another rom on it right?
For reasons I can’t fathom, custom rom community seems to fade around new budget Xiaomi phones especially when it comes to Lineage and Omni. If it gets better with Mi A3 I just might get it though.
The camera would have to be quite good to get me to part with my newly purchased A2.
Because Android One?
I always struggle to get my A2 to focus on subjects ….my Nexus 5x does a great job focusing on all conditions thanx to it’s laser focus sensor. Hope that’s the case with Mi A3
Custom rom 🙂
Mi A2 didn’t have a headphone jack so I would have my hopes up if I were you
I have been ***waiting*** to read this news, very happy to know.
Currently using Mi A1 for past 2 years, and its so good having no issues.
Another Stock Android with an even powerful SoC than Mi A1 will be awesome
Can’t wait ʘ‿ʘ
If this true this is the note 7 killer
Yeah, I know. But I don’t have much experience with custom ROMs. Someone was kind enough to provide me with a tutorial, which I intend to try on my Mi A2 as soon as I can get my hands on a computer. If everything goes without trouble, I might actually consider buying the Mi 9T.
I think you’ll find out 🙂 There are enough simple tutorials etc. on the internet. Good luck 🙂
My A1 got rly hard focus problems too
I think that is a rly big bs
Poco is discontinued series now
This device should be rain resistant
Is that a fact or just a rumour?
I don’t recall any recent Xiaomi phone with 720p screen, even my RN4 is FHD+.
Waiting for a3 lite
Why does a new born have to kill …that I don’t understand.😀
Because it’s smaller in size ?
Exactly. I was thinking of mi Max 2s but there is 3400 battery. Plz don’t mention sucky 9se
Huge step up from Mi A2 Lite to Mi A3 Lite, I would consider upgrading but have lost confidence in Xiaomi’s software team treatment towards Android One.
My Nexus 6P was far superior to the A2 in terms of camera. But that phone had a ton of issues and I finally had to move on. At $150 brand new the A2 was a great deal and I really like Android One. Only compromise has been a camera downgrade.
I’m hoping the A3 steps it up enough to keep me from continuing to be interested in Pixel devices, because I’m annoyed at the price tag.
Because it will be the new value king. Hoping for good stuff on the RN8 though. If they add ultrawide on rn8 that’ll be sick..
