Just wait a few months and the price will drop or good deals if you feel comfortable buying from Chinese retailers.
Wait, seriously? It’s an AMOLED screen, why is it polarised?
Oh man if I bought this phone for nothing I will be super sad.
I’m pretty happy with the colors of my 3T, but it is difficult to read in plain sunlight, a problem with myna AMOLED displays. Happy to see that the Mi 9T Pro is better.
I like the fingerprint sensor, because I hate typing the unlock code often. I’m not aware that you can trick them that easily, never tried. Is this the same as with photo unlock, where a photograph of the owner often is sufficient ?
There is and the Mi 9T and the Mi 9T Pro ? (The 9T shows up in local shops, but not the 9T Pro)
How is battery life ?
It should be elaborated how heavy the task is. No one is going to put full load of both cpu and gpu the whole time until the battery died.
That’s why i prefer mixture of both, few games + light apps the way mrwhosetheboss do it
they better or theyre going loosing sales… These new prices dont make the phone attractive any more
479€ to have 128€ back? What a ripoff!
Mi9 is for about 320€ and dropping
Only with 6 GB or RAM????
tan handle versed deserted sink resolute fuel boat violet dazzling ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
What is so much better in the display ? I’m pretty happy with the 3T AmoLED.
The fingerprint scanner is under the display in front? This is another thing I appreciate. Rear fingerprint scanners are not for me.
No 8GB RAM? Whyyyy! No buy then from me.
No, a fair comparison is doing putting realistic strain/task on both phones. If all you do is play fortnite until the phone died then yes fair point. But for calling, browsing social media in theory Snapdragon 855 should be more efficient. In practice? I don’t know. That’s why we need a test
OnePlus software experience is really really nice but otherwise true.
It’s the norm in that price tag. So why the surprise?
Yes but battery is measured by how long it lasts in one task… You can see it when advertising. Phone such and such has 2000 hours standby and 200h talk time, etc etc
It was always like that.
Same here. I use OnePlus 3 and there is a good chance that Mi 9T Pro is my next phone.
Only 6GB version? Are you fucking kidding me?
Lol, it was GB* free money for Xiaomi haha
You have to compare the official price. Mi 9T 128GB 369€ vs. Mi 9T Pro 128GB 479€.
The china price will drop very fast (\~380€ after 3 – 4 weeks)
Damn, sad that it’s so much more expensive than in China and other countries. Looks like I will pick up the 9T as well then.
Where can it be bought for 320???
Knowing that the next Xiaomi Mi Mix will be announced/out soon, i’ll pass this one.
Now I’m really happy that company send me to China and I bought K20 pro 8gb/256 for 379 euro and I even got AirDots for free . Prices are nuts in Europe
I’ll help you pick her up
Is it worth getting a 9T? I think I’m going to use the B20 band more than the better Snapdragon, but it seems to be a downgrade from my Pocophone. I don’t care about the camera at all.
Does anyone know how much faster the Pro’s processor is?
LTE bands tho
Thanks!
My problem with the Poco is that I have polarized sunglasses and I can’t use the phone during the day, as the screen is polarized the same as my glasses so it looks completely black…
Why would it be not counting taxes?
No did you lol
Bought mine (128GB also) for 300 so 180 Euro more for the CPU isn’t worth it especially since the SD730 seems to be pretty good already and I don’t use mobile gaming.
I live in Poland so it’s only lte 800mhz for me (and it’s mostly in small villages) . Rest of lte frequencies works great
Wait, pearl white???
mi9t has 4000mah too.. that’s not the point.
Apparently sd730 drains less battery.
If no 8gb RAM and 256gb storage is true then I might as well get the regular 9T at those prices. The pearl white is nice though.
Well, a game can run faster but not be faster, just more fps, smoother animations etc. Same for a video or scrolling through an article, so even the task being done faster in less time is subjective. It can load faster sure but the bulk of the task is done at the same speed but with more quality.
Being said that, you’re probably not wrong, but systematically doing the same task for a long time that has no difference whatsoever in output (a video for instance same fps same brightness that looks exactly the same on both) it’s less power hungry on 730.
I changed from Oneplus3 to 9t. A big performance boost and the display couldn’t even be compared. Size wise these phones are the same but the 9t has no display bezel and is a little ticker. Its a nobrainer upgrade
It’s that the K20 Pro has 8gb as an option, whereas the 9T Pro does not.
Vs k20pro yes
So no 8gb RAM? Only 6? I was hoping for 8/256… 😭
And why bring this out and soon also a Mi9 Pro/S? Why are there so many different models now.
Yeah… Dont know if its worth it tbh, thsts why i got the Mi 9T, i dont care about video that much and dont game at all
And I want the most battery life possible
I also think Mi 9T is more than enough for most people, only mobile Hardcore gamers will perhaps Profit from mi 9t pro if the play asphalt 9 and stuff
the white prism color is really nice.
I thought they’d bring only the 8GB/256G version to sell at high price next to Mi9T, I guess not. I just bought Mi9T, I’m very satisfied for $330 total with shipping/tax I paid for 128GB version, this should cost roughly $500 for same storage, it’s not worth it o me, I don’t play any mobile games and by the time SD 730 is feeling slow, I’m on another phone anyway.
I like to see what LTE bands this one supports though. If the NA LTE band support is good, this would totally kill zen phone 6.
I don’t really game, that’s useful to know, thank you. I also didn’t think to check on YouTube, I will now, thanks again!
Makes my 380€ mi9 look like a bargain! Nice
They are still not counted, this is the Global version sold in and shipped from European stores, not from China
Finally
But its 100€ mark-up
The camera is only marginally better because it has 4k60fps, and the SD855, while being a little better, I’d still say the 9T is the better option.
Well I’ll probably get mone from China as its only 300€ there
Bought my MI 9T recently for 270,-€.128GB, mind you.
I don’t know why anyone would pay 200€ more just for the latest SD and a minimaly better camera.
The colors are way better than my OP3 or my gf-s OP3T, the display can be read easier on the sun. Yes the fingerprint scanner is in the front under the display. But most finger print sensors on phones are just a gimmick that can be tricked easily.
mi 9t has ufs 2.1, dc dimming, smart pa, 24-bit/192kHz, pdaf but no laser focus…..havent checked the reset of the specs but for 200$ more i dont think it worth the difference, specially if you dont game.
The camera isn’t really that different unless you really need 4k60. For still shots it is exactly same performance.
for normal tasks you wont feel much difference unless you game, the battery life on 9t is better than pro because the processor is consuming less battery, you can search k20 vs k20 pro in youtube, you will find some useful comparison
You should check out some drain test videos before you *facepalm* too hard my guy. He’s correct, the Mi 9T or k20 beats their pro counterparts in SOT.
I have the 9T but only 1-2 weeks. 9T pro is better but it is yet to be released for the rest of the world. Battery life is good.
Nothing about a lot of phones matters much in daily use really…
Only 10 -15 miutes less battery life.
There’s more around the web I think
And worse battery performance
Check on KiMovil. There are the cheapest prices.
On GearBest https://m.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009200231138.html?cid=34e6bbb7-ba22-11e9-a4f4-0670141e6114&wid=1349303&lkid=12607150
I dont think it will be more batter efficient because it also has a higher clock speed on multiple cores (higher minimum and higher maximum clock speed)
Also 7 vs 8 nm is miniscule difference. If you have Two identically build processors one on 7 and one on 8nm, then yes you have higher consumption on 8nm
But we dont… All cores of the 855 are higher clocked (min/max speeds)
Flagship SoC NEVER meant it has the best battery life, it just uses the most Powerful and cutting edge processor
Has this been tested properly somewhere?
>Headphone Jack
Oneplus lost me when they lost the headphone jack. My Oneplus 3T is still holding up fine. It looks increasingly likely that a Xiaomi will be my next phone.
People sell k20 pro for 300eur on aliexpress, this is tooo overpriced.
You are comparing the benchmark comparisons right? This is causing the CPU/GPU to work flat out, I believe producing more output as it’s faster. You’re most likely getting more output (work) for your battery life. 7nm vs 8nm and no doubt more power saving tech on their flagship processor, I’m sure it’s very narrow but it’s not correct to say it takes more battery power. If you were to run tests limiting the CPU cycles and output to be the same I’d put money on the pro model lasting longer.
This is not counting taxes, so it is even more.
Good Price.
Oneplus 7 128gb is 559 euro. So this is 80 euro cheaper while being a better phone
More versatile cameras
No notch
Bigger Battery
Headphone Jack
Well, benchmarks are exactly so we have terms of comparison. In this case with no tampering mi 9t lasts longer hands down.
If you would limit horse power well, you wouldn’t get pubg running smoother or other perks, so what’s the point in getting it?
It’s actually all a bit silly, I would be fine with a 2016 phone anyway… Lol
I’m sure the 730 processor would be enough for me too, but the Pixel XL’s Snapdragon 821 is too slow for me these days, granted it’s old now. I think it’s the 8GB of RAM I need most!
So benchmarks are capped at the same FPS and the same output are they? I thought they were a bit of a free for all, i.e if your CPU performs better than sure, you can run faster at the expense of battery perhaps. I thought they were benchmarks in terms of performance comparisons and not battery life.
In more realistic terms I believe the faster and possibly more efficient CPU would get the job done faster for a fixed task, such as opening a large app at similar or less expense of battery life.
– Snapdragon 855
– 27W Fast Charging
– 4k 60fps
– Laser focus + PDAF
– 1080p 120-960fps slow motion
– 2-Band GPS
– Hi-Fi DAC Audio playback
– Qualcomm WCD9340 independent audio chip
– 192KHz/24-bit audio playback
– Smart PA/HiFi
– DC Dimming
– UFS 2.1
The tests they so is keeping same task running until it dies. Wich one lasts longer is more efficient for that task.
There’s no ambiguities really. (It wouldn’t matter running a task for 10 minutes or 10 hours, maybe the first second when loading but that’s it)
