Every one of these YouTube test is shit. If you want to know real comparison, head to Notebookcheck website. JESUS!
Oh, and it just casually has the highest Antutu score out of the super pricey bunch. [4:33](https://youtu.be/YoSYD_bO3q8?t=273)
Thanks… Now I’m tossing up between redmi note 7 and the mi 9 SE
> even the notifications came with problem and were fixed only weeks ago
What was fixed? What ROM are you talking about and what Mi model?
That happens by default but you can lock apps in memory, so the system doesn’t close then if inactive
MI 9 is being a spectacular cell phone and if you notice Xiaomi didn’t optimize the system just took the version of MI 8 and put it in Mi 9, even the notifications came with problem and were fixed only weeks ago. Which means it has even more potential.
it’s a redmi tho
nfc will be there but no wireless charging as far as i can see,
if it has wireless charging it’ll be killing off the mi9 & mix 3 🤷♂️
mi 9 was very good considering a almost 1,000mah difference between those 2 devices.
the mi 9 deserves more love
notifications are not effecte
on miui you can lock apps if you don’t want apps to close after being idle for a while
( the app will essentially be frozen, so it will stay at what ever you were doing in the app)
Legend cheers and thank you
Nope, it does not, you receive all notifications. And btw in MIUI you can change these settings, so you can allow these apps to stay always open.
When you say “miui closes apps” I have a question, having not used miui before… Does this mean I won’t receive notifications from WhatsApp or messenger, if the phone closes the app?
Currently I have a Nubia phone that’s two years old and these days I won’t receive notifications on messenger or WhatsApp until I launch the app, then all my conversations begin downloading and it’s very annoying… Does the MiUi do this?
I don’t think that’s amazing. My 2 y.o. phone (who can’t even hold a full day charge anymore) only drains 30% when i played music whole night
Still waiting on redmi flagship. Though imo mi 9 already cut some stuff from $1000 flagships (small battery, headphone jacks) i won’t choose redmi flagship if it removes anything else such as nfc and wireless charging
Yes i agree MIUI is much more restrictive. But IIRC huawei is even more aggressive, as stated by linus (tech tips) that even apps that are supposed to be running to real-time notification, are closed.
I never “lock” my apps on MIUI and apps such as whatsapp always receives notification.
My next phone will be a Mi 9! (or maybe even the next generation Mi…)
MIUI is generally very restrictive about background apps, although it has gotten better in recent versions. Also, OnePlus’ OOS tends to do the same.
Doesn’t really play a role in those kind of tests anyways, as the phones are in constant usage on fairly high brightness. MIUI likes to kill off apps in standby after some time, SOT should not be affected.
I personally find those tests kind of useless anyways, as standby battery performance is just as important imo. But it’s good to see the fairly small battery holding up pretty well.
Doesn’t the mi9 close apps very aggressively to achieve this?
I legit let my phone play soft music throughout the night off the charger sometimes… I’ll wake up and it’s 63%. Like wtf. My iPhone would have been dead in half an hour LOL
Why was he constantly mentioning the screen res of the MI 9 but didn’t say anything about the p20 pro having the same resolution
even tho miui closes apps, i still love the battery optimization
redmi 4x can go 1d 5h with 5h sot without a issue even after 2 years of heavy usage
Yeah it is very impressive. I am using Dark mode were I can on my Mi9 and I can go through all day with it and in the end of the day I still have 30 % left. ( Phone is on 4G+ all day )
Damn, that’s impressive, I love my Mi9 😍
That’s pretty cool, I did not expect that.
