Mi 8 lite, stock camera, auto settings. After about a month with thia device i’m very happy with it. Definitely a good upgrade from my previous Redmi Note 3 pro.

I got the 6 GB. Loving it so far
This one is 460 so yeah, a bit taller.
Malaysia’s KLCC is around 452 meters
None of them are safe lol. They are all good gimmicks. Maybe the Huawei Mate 20 has that 3D imaging so it should be better
I use the face scan on the mi8 lite and it works very good. I’m just a bit worried because it’s not as safe as other more advanced Iris scan
Yep, but I’m yet to test that and the face scan. I’ve tested it on the mi Max 3 and it’s fast but let’s see what the under the screen one does…
It has the fingerprint scanner under the screen right? That’s cool.
That’s not a bad price and yes, I paid €450 for my mi 8 pro… Specs similar to the Pocophone.
I paid my mi8 lite around 210 euro. The pro costs twice as much.
Dunno the price difference. Can you tell me?
Considering the difference in price I hope it’s actually better lol
The mi 8 pro’s camera is just as good
Yeah can’t wait for Pie.
This is the reason it doesn’t work properly 😉 it’s a cloned version.. if I remember correctly, there is something missing in the mi8 lite, that is required from the gcam app. This should be solved with Pie (early 2019..)

4 gb or 6? Mine is 4gb.
Nope, I downloaded the apk from XDA if I remember correctly.
I’ve abused my RN3 quite a lot during these past 2.5 years so the battery wasn’t that good anymore. The mi8 lite currently is doing better but I would have been happier if they put a bigger battery. It gets me thought the day no problem, unless I use a lot of GPS/4G. It also has quick charge which is useful, even tho the charger included in the box doesn’t support it so you have to buy one.
What’s it like going from 4000mah to 3350mah? Big difference?
? Not from the play store, right?
Nice. Thanks!
I actually have the gcam on my mi 8 lite but it has some autofocus problem and overall the quality is worse than the stock camera so I guess we’ll need to wait a bit more
I already got used to the dongle. I always keep it attached to my earpiece. It’s a bit annoying when u want to charge the phone and watch a video on YouTube/ Netflix. For games, I haven’t played anything intensive but it has a snapdragon 660 so expect to be able to play stuff like pubg at medium settings

I have it, and no.. as of today no gCam for the mi8 lite.. 🙁
I just ordered one a couple of weeks ago. I can’t wait!
Is it possible to install gcam on the lite version without having to root or booting twrp? Have you tried any of the gcam versions for the Mi 8 (not lite)?
That’s a stellar pic!
Very impressive, indeed.
Certainly a worthy upgrade from the excellent Redmi Note 3 Pro.
Cheers.
I’m planning to get this phone for Christmas. How is it without headphone jack and how good is the processor for games?
that’s a good building!
I love it, very pretty

That’s a cool photo 📸
Wow… That’s an awesome looking building.
The building is the Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. At around 450 meters it’s the tallest building in Vietnam and South East Asia. They completed it just a few months ago.

my question precisely. Glad I’m not the only one not recognizing this building
Nice pic, what building is that
