Hi, I updated my Mi 11 ultra to MIUI 13 today and when it rebooted after the update it went into the boot loop. then eventually it stopped at the recovery mode menu. i tried to reboot the phone from the recovery, safety mode or even wiping my data, it still goes into the boot loop.
so I looked into flash the device. but I have never unlocked the bootloader. and when I try, I kept getting Unknow error 1004.
I tried with a different account, for the bootloader unlock, it was saying account 175XXX has blocked the phone via find my device. the account 175xxx was my original account which was giving me the error. so I thought of signing the account out of my device and tried with my second account…… then it was saying I need to link my phone to an MIAccount to do the BL unlock….
never thought unlocking MI phone would be this difficult. so is there anyway to BL unlock xiaomi phones without link the device to an MI account?
is there alternative software can be used instead of the MI Flash Unlock app?
thank you for reading
If you stuck in bootloop when updating your device … U can’t do anything without a custom recovery expect format your device.
And as you said you have issue with your ki account, you can change the password form a pc . It may help you to login if you forgot the password.
And you said about unlocking bootloader, in miui or Xiaomi devices you have to have certain things as prerequisite to unlock your bootloader. It’s not the stock Android … If it was then you can just boot to bootloader or you can say fastboot mode and type “fastboot oem unlock” in command prompt and you will good to go..
But it’s miui , you need to use Mi Unlock tool ! And also you have to have a SIM card in your device, Sync turned on for Xiaomi cloud , turn on find my device , confirm you want to unlock bootloader from developer options …
And you have to wait for 7 days minimam for 1st time unlock.
And now only you can do is either format from recovery and check if it’s boot or take it to the Xiaomi service center.
Though it may also bootup automatically without doing anything (some times happens)
Does anyone know how to solve this??
