That was what Sony had in their Smartphone before it was cool.
Also pre Android and iOS, they had Flash Wallpaper on Sony Ericsson phones, which would change depending Night & Day or Session like Winter, Spring, Sommer, Autumn.
The W (Walkman) models had a Equalizer and showed the Current Artist and Title.
To bad it didn’t get much attention back than.

The fact that planets rotates a second after you swipe was driving me crazy and makes its so uncomfortable to see it. Removed them after a hour. But they do look cool

I just love that SMOOTH transition from home screen to lock screen, when you just press the power button to lock, but it just goes into a continuous animation into an AOD.haha!

MIUI doesn’t seem to allow the user to set actual, app-based live wallpapers (not its own video-based wallpapers) in its theme app, so you need to use a different app to apply them. It doesn’t necessarily need to be Google Wallpapers. Something like Nova Launcher works too.
Also, the instructions I posted wouldn’t mention the use of Google Wallpaper if it wasn’t necessary.

Yes of course Miui 12 will be available for these phones. Your phone is only 6 month old. Your phone will be updated to miui 13 and 14.
But not super wallpapers, they wont be available for redmi Note series. You can install them manually

I think it looks laggy because it’s also recording the screen, maybe it’s smoother in daily usage.
Why are you taking it personally? You could have just used 10% of your brain’s capacity and understood that I am implicating whether it will use unnecessary RAM in a way that it affects the overall performance of the device or not. So just chill or walk away if you don’t like it.
You need to set it as your wallpaper.

Oh, sorry for answering I just realized that you mostly ask idiotic questions: first you are interested in the wallpaper, then you don’t want it to uses any memory, probably 0 ram if itd possible. Do your own then.

I had the same problem, you have to apply a live wallpaper on both your lockscreen and home screen (like the desert one) and then try again with the MIUI 12 one (sorry for the English, baguette tour Eiffel you know)
No, it will comes but later because they’re doing the MIUI roll-out in three phases: first the newest phones like “mi 10,mi 9, k20 and k30 series” and redmi note 7 will have the MIUI 12 update in the second phase.

These kind of things make me look at iPhones as obsolete, overpriced, clout gainers, with a really limited OS. That, with every update, gain more of Android features, and with that, loose the famous(in the past) stability. This option(feature) might also get implemented in like 3-5 years, but will be called a new, amazingly revolutionary feature, a new redesigned way to interact with an iPhone.😁
Yes, idiotic question as I said and you confirm it again. You think a live wallpaper should not use any ram if possible so your device performance will not be affected. You’re just a lazy person that instead of installing and trying it and see for yourself ask other people who probably don’t even own your device, to test it for you and assure you that it won’t use your “unnecessary” ram. Stop being lazy and install it yourself and you can also post if it works or not on your device this way you bring some knowledge for the community.

Depends which wallpaper you use, but it definitely affects battery life due to background updates and higher GPU usage.

Actually I have it (on Mi 9T) and don’t really notice any performance issues. I guess it’s something about optimization or maybe just marketing :/

Are you sure? I haven’t seen this anywhere else. Also why SoC should matter for an animated wallpaper. I had pixel apk on my Redmi Note 5 which has worse chipset.
