Reposting this cause I think it needs more attention, not that Xiaomi will ever give a crap anyways… [Letter to Xiaomi | We need your support (dearxiaomi.com)](https://dearxiaomi.com/)
\[UPDATE\][Response To Mi Fan’s Letter. – General – Mi Community – Xiaomi](https://c.mi.com/thread-3724291-1-1.html) Exepectadly lame.
People seriously want more xiaomi apps in the phones ? Don’t complain that your phones don’t work properly. First thing I do when I get one is to debloat it. Then install blokada with the xiaomi list. Never had a problem after that.
No not bad at all. Just saying I personally have seen more issues with Samsung and Apple than xiaomi hence I’m hesitant to just follow someone else leading. If I had seen issues it might be another thing.
And that’s 4gb version of realme like I said in first reply. 6gb version like note 10s costs more. Also, x3 pro display reviews are great, so doesn’t matter even the slightest what you think.
Note 9 shouldn’t “lag terribly” by any means, try removing ads and pre-installed bloatware
realme gt neo
realme q3 pro
realme x7 pro
realme brought UFS 3.1 to budget phones, which is one of the reasons why phones are smoother than those using UFS 2.1/2.2
But i personally think the spec king right now is iqoo neo 5.
>there is no way to have stable softver
That’s a crap excuse. Good Android software is possible and besides, we’re not talking iOS level of polish (we wish!) we’re talking not bricking our phones. It is Xiaomi’s fault that they sell 100new models a year, nobody is forcing them to. That’s the strategy they went with and that comes with issues. You’re just spinning up this lie of Android being inherently unoptimiseable just to justify a huge company often intentionally treating two sets of customers differently. Last time I checked they don’t advertise their phone with an asterisk at the bottom saying “btw your software will obviously be broken because you know, that’s just how Android phones are”.
You want more money by selling more models? Good, then be prepared to support them all or take shit from your customers. Simple as that.
Claiming that poor software should be expected by Android users is an insult to Google, OnePlus, Samsung and all the other manufacturers who actually put some thought into the software updates they release and don’t brick their customer’s phones.
i had bugs too on my current note 8 pro. and they were significant. i like xiaomi and they make good budget phones, but i must say i didnt have these problems on the phones before (1 le eco, 2 samsung).
they have motto as title … others be like blah blah the real you 🤷♂️
‘You just have to look at the news of MIUI 12.5 from China and those of the global one, most like the animal sounds are not there.’
Animal sounds? Serious problem 😂🤔🙄
She has the McDonald’s app installed I guess you could call that bloatware 😉
Joking aside no she has nothing like that installed or anything that would hinder the performance and we have done a full factory reset.
I started the returns process for my Mi 11 Ultra today, using MIUI software older than what I had on my previous phone the mi10t pro thats how much of a joke Xiaomi are, they dont care about UK/Global, the only way to hit them is their pockets good luck with this though
Yep, and I suspected 60% or so was user error. Not wanting to wait for the update to finish because they were so busy etc. I suspect lot of the crying about xiaomi is user error also. I mean look at the posts. So many you can fix with a 5 minutes bing session (yes bing even).
Realme 8 against the note 10 and note 10S
how are they sketchy haha
Signed!
“not if you follow the instructions” isn’t exactly a great answer. No crap, nothing would ever go wrong in the world if people just followed the instruction… And besides, Reddit is full of cases where the phone got bricked despite the instructions.
It’s worth it, sure. Is it €370 worth it (for me) not yet, no.
It’s a Amazing app. I tried it before, but the problem is still there
Давно пора.
lol, exactly. I completely agree that Xiaomi need to step it up in terms of bug fixing and ROM optimisation, but I think the info on this webpage is too rambling to be taken seriously.
Lags terribly? Tell your wife not to install malware and bloatware. Doubt it’s the phone, more likely the user. Every other xiaomi user doesn’t have lag and runs great
At my previous job we had Samsung and iPhones as work phones, around 500 employees and about 5-6 phones a week that needs a forced firmware reinstall because some update broken something while I personally used MIUI since it was only a ROM for SonyEricson phones and not had 1 device soft bricked by an update so I can’t relate.
Ok basically Xiaomi MiUI is worse outside of china by choice then ? Wow it’s really sad how much they’re not in touch with costumers outside of china. Take OnePlus for example they have 2 variants hydrogenOS for the Chinese market and oxygen OS for the rest of the world and that’s it, as for Xiaomi there’s the Chinese variant the European variant ( AKA THE WORSE AND MOST DELAYED VERSION UPDATES EVERY 5 MONTHS OR SO ) the Indian variant and global each version is developed in different places and updates are released in different times.
I also signed.
considering that’s only 1% failure a week, and likely due to the same kind of updates just rolling across devices, it isn’t that bad.
negligible? definitely but when i heard the name for the first time I thought it’s a fake phone

Poco X3 Pro with a cheap tianma LCD i’ll pass
Might be something wrong with the phone itself then, take it to your seller and show them, then ask them if it’s meant to be like that (it shouldn’t if the specs are better and it’s a new phone and already lags after factory reset.. I have my doubts but yeah if you just bought it then just take it back and Iet the seller do his job with some after sale support)
I sincerely wish you good luck with it. I can’t relate to it though. I haven’t had more bugs on a Xioami device than on a HTC, Samsung, Apple, Sony, Huawei, Yota and the list goes on. I can’t see them opening an office in Europe to maintain the Global firmware when they have the EEA specifically for Europe.
I think it is not fair to tell company what it should be.. you do not have all angles.xiaomi tried hard to get here.
It is not easy.you can go apple way,and have stable software upon all devices and get dependent on company politics.or you can find another way to be present in media like xiaomi throws bunch of phones out YouTube get busy and it is smart marketing, but you are in charge with your device you can do what ever you want
Broke it ,fix it change Rom etc.
Android is all about customization, there is no way to have stable softver (not only ROM app too) on such wide range of devices (android devices/per year).
Stable thing is only possible on apple devices because they have control on production and developers knows all the possible circumstances.
Android is another world it is fun for some people it is trouble for others.
The thing is that you can choose what works for you, you can not shape the way these things are.
“Troll main Central”. Mind the gap please.
You literally explained in your story that you’ve worked with 500 Samsung and iPhones only. I’m not surprised you be seen more issue there than in a Xiaomi. Now imagine working with 500 xiaomi phones. Just look at this is Reddit and cry.
I have the mi 11 and a 2 years old S10 plus and one thing I notice in Samsung was how they improve the software support in the last 2 years. My S10 plus always get the security patches first than the mi 11, actually my mi 11 is still with April update and the S10 have been update to May 2 weeks ago. I love Xiaomi Cust benefits but there’s still so much work regarding bugs and software support.
That is not a great point. Still. Overall it hits the right notes.
I know realme has good products but the names sounds sketchy so I never left xiaomi fam
Something can occur when installing it. Maybe you missed some steps.
I would suggest clean installing LOS18.1 again
Format all data, system etc
Flashing LOS18.1
Flashing gapps(before first boot) -if you want playstore
Flashing Magisk(before first boot) – if you want root
I would be shocked if you encountered those bugs after a clean install
I would suggest OrangeFox recovery for Redmi Note 7. The recovery was first designed for some Redmi device I think, so should be more optimized for Redmi Note 7. I’ve had weird problems with TWRP recovery like internal storage remaining encrypted when in recovery.
There are third party apps. MIUI 12 removed the base xiaomi calling app and replaced it with the Google one.
yes colorOS is rated #1 smoothest UI in china by their benchmarking tool even beating iOS
But he test was done on oppo find x3 pro.
The note 10S retails at €249 and the realme 8 retails at €199 . Last time I checked that’s cheaper
>reame x7 max 5g
India is not whole world. And its release price is ₹26,999, which is around 310eu. It is not cheaper. And aboout neo 5, it uses same imx598 sensor as any other device. Also, it doesnt have seperate gpu chip and it doesnt increase fps by 50%. It has same gpu as others using this soc, only difference it has seperate display hardware driver. It doesnt make phone faster. It helps rendering stuff and improve fluidity, but has nothing to do with gpu power. So far its only words, no improvements has been shown yet on tests. So only thing it has over poco, is OIS and faster charging. But it costs over 100eur more, and its not AVAILABLE globally. Global phones are always more expensive, because you have to pay extra licensing fees for european and US bands.
Its a risk to brick the phone but only if you deviate from the instructions. There are very detailed and easy to follow instructions on credible forums like XDA.
We all bought Xiaomi devices because of their cheap hardware. Its their shitty software that’s the problem. Not to mention countless of privacy invading apps you can’t uninstall or revoke those permission. Not to mention the phone is constantly contacting Chinese servers. Its a privacy nightmare and a bug wonderland. Lucky for us, custom ROMs exist. Its worth every second you do to research how to install one.
My Note 3 Pro device got bricked by an official update, so I can definitely relate to the OTA part. Thankfully, I didn’t have anything important on the device, so I just flashed a custom ROM. No complaints ever since.

why even care about such negligible things?
Hi, Recently, my device automatically updated to miui 12.0.6 to discover that the call recording options had disappeared with no other software to be used. Note that my device is redmi note9…
Please any idea to solve this problem.. 🥺🥺
I NEED THIS OPTION. . 💔
i’ll say try out realme.. they have the best UI which is clone of colorOS and also better specs than what redmi / xiaomi offers at similar pricing.
I got a redmi note 8 pro and it performs better than the iPhone 11 pro from a my friend
poco f3 is released in europe for 299euros.. base model is 6gb ram. you need to compare using the 8gb ram variant hence its cheaper than poco f3.
sounds like there is something wrong with the phone, try to factory reset. that is not normal.
So much nonsense.
Okay, give 1 realme device which has better hardware than xiaomi for less money. This will be fun
Also own a note 7 for the past 3 years and it’s still rocking, some bugs here and there with the UI but no lags or major bugs.

>I am not going to down-vote you.
I don’t really care.
>I revised my reply to make it less causal as reddit style, but more fact-based as I was long term XiaoMi (tech-) user in the past and yet frustrated giveup ….
Yeah you trimmed a little the conspiracy theories.
I don’t see how what you wrote is more fact based.
And why do you keep writing “XiaoMi”? Why do you feel the need to implant this cheap irony all over your comments?
>Anyway hope you stand for XiaoMi for ever a longer time, but you will see the trend in a longer term. /cheers!
This doesn’t make sense. What exactly is going to happen to “XiaoMi” long term?
Anyway I don’t see why I should write hateful comments against a tech company that hasn’t done anything to me. It’s just a waste of energy.
>EDIT: I will eventuelly delete these all, because most people here too young to understand these anyway, and the world (e.g.. EU) is to be taken by CN anyway inevitable.
You are overestimating yourself.
People are free not to agree with your conspiracy theories and that doesn’t make them ignorant or stupid.
already signed brother
How so?
Also, when I install any call recording program, the program does not record the voice of the caller, only my voice
Custom ROMs are usually touted left and right by everyone in this subreddit. Issue is most users aren’t capable to install then or willing to take the very real risk of bricking their phones.
Where does it retail like that? Im my country price is same, and globally, price is like i said, with problem being that realme 8 is almost impossible to get
[https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-10s](https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-10s)
Btw, why you ignore poco x3 pro? Its much faster and better than realme 8, and its price is 200eu.
Realme 8 has identical specs to note 10s, but it is not cheaper? Only 4gb version is 10eu cheaper, 6gb version like 10s is very hard to find and more expensive. Try again lol. Btw, poco x3 pro costs almost same, but is much better device, so realme is nowhere near.
I’m still using this app and given all permission the problem still there.. 🥺🥺💔
Lol.
Best thing I ever did for my Redmi Note 7 was installing a custom ROM. Now I’m rocking Android 11 and without any MIUI bugs. Plus every month I get security updates which are very important. My device from Xiaomi probably lost all that update support long ago.
I’m sure the 500 people you served as an IT rep were all power users? I would say, if anything, the poeple in this subreddit are actually more interested in tech and more knowledgeable than your average user. Just knowing about Xiaomi is proof off an interest in phones that goes past the mainstream brands.
The fact that for most part you changed your initial comment doesn’t mean what you wrote there is not nonsense. But it’s okay at least I know how you stand.
You dont compare EU prices to India or china prices. EU phones are always MORE expensive, because eu band support costs licensing fees. It is not cheaper, because there is NO EU or GLOBAL version. Also, if you care about charging so much, xiaomi black shark 4 has 120w charging, twice as fast, and better screen, FOR LESS MONEY, AND HAS GLOBAL VERSION, and is 8gb ram. So its better everyway except OIS, has global version, and is CHEAPER. Try again.
That’s really unusual. Maybe someone can help in r/LineageOS
You might he to give it some extra permissions.
Try Cube ACR. That’s worked fine for me.
That’s weird. I haven’t experienced those issues and you probably shouldn’t either, at least on most popular RN7 supported ROMs.
I’m on Lineage OS and I can say that it’s very well polished and bug free. It just works great.
And I miss call record option from call settings
Can you send to me what option you choose for phone recording audio source and VOIP recording audio source… For cube ACR
Realme x7 pro – not even released globally, and costs 300euros. And its using ufs 2.1. Poco F3 also costs 300eu, but is released globally, is using ufs 3.1, has better soc, and overall is a better device. So wrong.
Then realme q3 pro, same, only china version available. Using ufs 3.1, thats good, still costs 300eur, and poco f3 is still better phone with better soc.
Then realme gt neo, same thing. Only china version available. Most powerful dimensity soc, which is still worse than poco f3 snapdragon. None of these phones are cheaper than xiaomi/poco with similar or worse hardware. Oh, and they all use cheap plastic build. Try again.
Oh, and iqoo neo 5, it literally has identical specs to poco f3, but costs 100eur more.
So still waiting for atleast 1 device, that offers better hardware than xiaomi at same price. None of these did, and none of these are released globally.
Xiaomi has lots of ads in most of Europe…. And no, people here are not very tech savvy. Some, sure. Most, not even close.
I recently bought a Note9 for my wife after someone recommended it to me it. I don’t get it, the specs are so much better than her old HTC Honor yet it performs worse and lags terribly. It’s my first experience with a Xiaomi product and the last.
gt neo just released in india as we speak named reame x7 max 5g. cheaper than poco f3.
iqoo neo 5 uses imx589 custom sensor by vivo has OIS. Seperate GPU chip to increase the fps by 50%. has 66W dual cell charging compared to 33W on poco f3. camera and battery upgrade alone is worth the 60euros extra. (note that poco f3 starts with 6gb ram)
im using the asia price of poco f3 lol
Yes, in a way. There’s many Xiaomi apps that offer extra features than some Google ones. Case in point, the dialer.
“Don’t complain that your phone’s don’t work properly” what an ass thing to say.
