Hey POCO F1 Users,
We’ve received some new feedbacks of POCO F1 this week and we’d like to share with you the progress of some confirmed issues. What’s more, the status of the issues reported last week will be shared too. Thanks again for the feedbacks for POCO F1, and patience & understanding for POCO F1 team. With the support of you guys, POCO F1 will be better for sure. The progress of some known issues for POCO F1 are sorted out as below:
This week’s POCO feedback
Here are the issues we’ve been solving this week:
1. Android Auto issues
We’ve already contacted Android Auto team and asked them to check.
2. Asphalt 8 and 9 are not compatible on Google Play
It’s no doubt that POCO/POCOPHONE F1 can support Asphalt 8 and 9 well, so we are solving this problem with Gameloft team 🙂 .
Updates on last week’s feedback
1. Widevine L1 to support HD Netfilx
Still investigating with Google and Qualcomm.
2. Status bar – no battery percentage display
Can try it on MIUI 10 Beta ROM “Settings- Notifications&Status bar-Battery indicator-Percentage” （http://en.miui.com/thread-3852565-1-1.html）
3. Status bar – no notifications app icons display
Almost done, will release on the beta version in these few weeks.
4. Support 4K 60fps on back camera
Thanks for your feedback, our dev team are working on this feature and will release it asap.
5. “OK Google” is not working
Please help to test in the latest Public Beta ROM, check the link here.
6. Touch screen issues
Thanks for the videos and logs you guys offered, it’s very thankful that we can optimize the product with POCO fans. Our dev team had analyzed the materials and divided the touch screens issues into several categories as below:
-Ghost touch issues
Already fixed, will release asap .
-Multi touch issues
Already fixed, will release asap .
-Touch delay while playing PUBG Mobile/using keyboard in some specific scenarios
According to the videos and logs we received last week, we found the reasons why the issues happen:
PUBG Mobile – Due to the network delay
Keyboard – Due to 3rd party apps problem, already contacted them to confirm the issue
If you still have touch delay issues which are not related with these 2 reasons, please help to offer more info. Thanks.
7. After updating PUBG Mobile to the latest version, the screen notch covered some content.
We’ve already contacted PUBG Mobile and they are fixing the issue.

It is a sound strategy to use a sub brand with a dedicated team allocated to it do their own thing.
This sort of experimentation allows them valuable experience and they can take the positives and apply them company wide and minimize the negatives. Better to do it this way instead of applying some new changes to the whole company working and then having unforeseen consequences.
I wish Xiaomi devices would receive that kinda support…..

Can you try turning on on-screen navigation buttons and disabling all gestures?

Just got mine last night. Its perfectly fine without any screen bleed. I’m from Malaysia btw.
This is how support should be. Clear and very responding to the issues that have been reported.
Does anyone else having problem with WiFi logs eating internal storage? Check if there’s wlan_logs folder on your internal root folder.

I’m sorry I got no idea. Have been running through lots of test to check screen bleed and I’m lucky my Pocophone isn’t affected.
It’s great but I hate the notch. Will buy the next version of Poco if is notch free
I searched a bit and it seems even though Widevine L1 issue is some OS partition related issue, it can’t be done by OTA update. Some more details [here](https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/implementing-widevine-l1-support-sony-made-it-via-software-update.866806/).
Even OnePlus had to make a recall for 5 & 5T. So, I’m still reluctant to purchase Poco F1 only because of this issue because I mainly use PrimeVideo, JioCinema & Netflix.
Let’s see what Poco does to fix this issue.
I mean technically you are right, but what I meant is that Poco is pretty much the exception when it comes to support. Maybe they want to live up to the hype or something.
Issue no. 6.2 is not already being taken care of…
I can confirm that the issue is not to be blamed on 3rd party apps because I have already tried different types of keyboards, from the stock (Facemoji), Gboard, Fleksy, Swiftkey, and Swype.
Tried different instances of inputs and regular paced typings on different chat apps (Messages, Facebook Messenger, LINE, Whatsapp, Instagram, and even Google Chrome chat APIs)
I have filed another bug report to MIUI (I hope it is not hardware issues because my stupid fucking store in Indonesia refused a return-replace unit) which is in the link here:

Description:
Touch latency – registered typos, seems like delayed input when typing regular-fast: especially in edge letters (Q, A, L, P, Backspace). Replicated when playing RealDrum, registered lag while hitting the kickbass (located somewhere near where Q and A are located while having keyboards on.)
Steps to reproduce
Typing with medium-to-fast pace results in jumbled letters. Typing ‘quell’ often produces ‘uqell’ or ‘qulel’. Typing ‘hahaha’ often produced ‘hahaah’ instead. Typing ‘gaga lala gaga’ (that is, with spacebar) may produce ‘gag alal agaga’. Hitting backspace repeatedly using same intervals results in lagged deletion of letters.
Done following things:
1. Disable popup, sound, and vibrate.
2. Used different keyboard apps (stock, Google, swiftkey, etc).
3. Used different textbox inputs across different chatting apps.
4. Disable multi touch gestures for screenshot.
5. Scale animation to 0.5x
6. Still got input lag.
Appreciate how well they interact with enthusiasts & take feed back well.
Hate to be ‘that guy’, but what about the whole FALSE MARKETING fiasco where Xiaomi’s spokeperson was caught red-handed, using fake images and claiming they were shot on the Poco F1?
If the Xiaomi/Poco team’s reading this: Have you acknowledge this, and apologized for trying to use unethical practices to market an otherwise great device?
How about using genuine images which were actually shot on the Poco F1?

Just got mine today, screen bleed isn’t noticeable unless I try to look at it, really nothing to worry about but others may get a lot worse than me.
You are absolutely right. If this successes, it means everything to this sub-brand. It’s success means everything towards the success of xiaomi.
I was worried about that but mine’s fine. Doesn’t seem as bad as it actually seems tbh – it’s worth noting that the majority of people who don’t have the problem just won’t mention it at all, whereas almost everyone with the problem will.
Any POCO F1 users, how bad is the screen bleed? Is your piece affected?

after updating to the latest MIUI & Android 9 stable version, I started facing Wi-Fi issues which i didn’t face on the android 8.1 latest update
The user experience isn’t as consistent as it used to be but it’s okay with me, the only issue for me now is the Wi-Fi
This level of support is reminiscent of the OPO days. Keep it up Team POCO 🍺
How can the keyboard issue be blamed on third-party apps, if this issue is visible on other apps as well (like real drum for example)?
I’m calling bs on that, specially since some users have this issue and others don’t, even when switching ROMs the touch response is shit on every edge of the phone.
