What is there may be some kind of certificate or something which costs time or money or both?. I am not sure. Or they must be saving some money by just removing that thing since they sell millions of devices being nearly useless in a country like India.
Yeah, it’s more of a gimmick
There’s a Led in the camera which lights through it even when it’s closed. It’s a notification led
That easy battery removal is a massive selling point to me. I’m sick of prying out and bending phone batteries during replacement.
I love when people call him Jerry even though his name is Zack
I’m a dbrand sucker. Used many on my MacBooks and Galaxy phones. They are completely worth the money. Don’t be hasty when applying the skin though.
It’s interesting that this phone has some degree of water resistant feature. Would love to see a video review on this aspect that never been mentioned.
Do they sell screen protector?
P2i coating
There’s a guy called him useless ass, but you are right, these outright hostilities are not common.
Yes, it is the same device.
The LED arrangement in pop-up camera is genius!!!
It’s quite useful for someone like me who keeps the phone in the shirt’s pocket
Have you watched the video? There is a rubber around the pop up camera that points to water resistence. They don’t advertise any of it though but I’m glad they added all of this stuff anyway. Makes me feel a little more secure when it’s raining. Seriously though I am amazed what they were able to pull off at that price. Huge thumbs up for Xiaomi.
It has some. I wouldn’t go swimming with it or anything, but it probably will survive a quick drop in the water.
PS. Oh, and oneplus had the guts to actually advertise it.
I have been using one for 2 years. It’s great. Durable as well. I’ve dropped it many times, it looks brand new still.
So you replace your phone’s battery all by yourself? Nice.
Yeah but getting the back off is still pain in the ass. My previous phone (oneplus 3t) had two screws holding the backplate in place so it was really easy to swap batteries.
But no water resistance. As far as I can tell any water resistance or proofing requires an adhesive.
Is there any particular reason why they go by two different names? Just curious.
In the comment section, many people seem to have quite a negative impression on Jerry.
what do you mean?
well sure it is possible 😀 I noticed it a few times – “never” here just means “almost never”. Once in a while I will like if the phone is sitting on a table with the top facing me, but how often does that happen? definitely not like traditional LED indicators that you can easily see at the top bezel of the phone, but sure for no notch I can easily live without relying on notification LEDs
Look how they massacred my boy!
it’s cool but basically useless.. I have had one of these phones since the start of june and never notice any notifications from it – I mean they are there, I just never notice them
I’m planning to get one for my k20 pro. Not sure about the pricing though.
redmi is popular in india than mi
I’ll buy it for green screws
My heart was hurting when I was watching the K20 pro teardown video 🙁
K20 / K20 Pro has the Chinese Rom while Mi 9T has the Global Rom and has more LTE bands
9T is the international version with google services and the K20 is the Chinese market only model (although you can install the international ROM anyway)
No, just Xiaomi being confusing af.
i know. it’s not genius. it’s useless! it’s on the top of the phone, it never visible in that place.
I don’t see any negative impressions. Those comments are just for fun.
For K20 pro you mean?
Thanks again man for the information.
lol gotcha
Usually cpus can go up to 90-100C without any repercussion so you don’t have any issue, unless your talking about your phone surface temperature
It’s worth it. You won’t have issues with it for years if you apply it correctly
Already plenty of vids on YouTube testing it.
With the pop-up camera it doesn’t have water resistance anyway
Really? That’s great!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It was helpful. How much did it cost you btw?
The Galaxy S5 is an exception, but the gasket with clip-on backplate design is definitely less reliable than glue.
I have the Mi9T and have to say you are right. It’s a position where you just don’t notice it. The Always on Display on the other hand is awesome. It somewhat replaced the Notification LED for me.
Around 12 USD. We ordered together with my friend so the shipping was free. It’s 5 USD otherwise
I think that the K20/Mi9T it is the same.
Good thing that dbrand began producing skins for the Mi9T/Pro!
Just because it’s not important so you should disable it.
All guys that buy #mi9t my cpu temperature is avareage 40°c and in use up to 43_44
What’s your cpu temperature usually??! I need #help and think my phone have #heating_issue
Have you used any dbrand skin? I need a review.
u mean the memes?
Yes. They released some sort of screen protector and a phone case as well.
Happy cake day!
I’m not sure. I only bought skins. They sell cases though
India nfc is not important, its either upi payments or qr code scanning.
Correct…the LED is hardly visible unless the camera pops out.
Watch the video! You’ll get it!
