You have to enable them manually in Dialer, messages and contacts. Leave it to Google to think of most illogical way of doing a task. 😅

Weird, I can’t get it to work, the app keeps crashing every time and camera 2 probe says I have only Legacy. I’ve gone through the manual setup guide, only not relocking the bootloader, but nothing seems to work.

when it was on nougat, unlocking the bootloader was not an issue so I used that tool that unlocked, set camera2 api the relocked bootloader..

Nope, I didn’t root my phone. According to XDA the Wellbeing app is only there for selected devices https://www.xda-developers.com/android-one-digital-wellbeing/ . Does the Wellbeing app showing for you in PlayStore without any compatibility restriction like mine ?

Lost bands, only getting band 5, when I used to be always on 4 or 7 in my area. Using Public Mobile(Telus/Bell towers).
Another interesting feature: You can turn off the internet w/o the notification asking you to confirm. It works like Nougat.

I use TIM as carrier, I’m little concerned about the 4G problem
Nothing. There’s no notification about the image downloaded anymore. I long press on the image, then choose Save image, and the image simply won’t download, at all.
I restarted the phone, installed the app numerous times, and yet the save image functionality doesn’t work
Settings > System > Gestures.
I downgraded to Oreo to use custom ROMs, but when I used the Pie beta everything worked fine on 3.

That swipe up gestures eat a lot of space. Would have been great if they turn off the backlight in navbar. Known bug, no idea why they haven’t fixed.

No, it’s not. You have to either root and flash it, or you can do so without rooting by unlocking bootloader and flashing it through TWRP. There is a guide on XDA, but it’s likely not working rn.

Its slightly better than Oreo. It takes now just 1 hour to reach 70% than 60% before the update. Its not charging rapidly but I do sense an improvement of some sort in timings over Oreo
I just updated to 9 and everything seems to be working including 4G. My A1 is more responsive now and FM is enabled.
Hotspot and flashlight is working…..no bugs found yet….. you can update without formatting your phone

It could be a region (country) specific issue. Did you install anything before updating to pie that could have altered the device, like rooting, etc?
Try clearing the cache of Play Store, clearing all the junk files, etc using a file manager and restarting the phone. Then try again.

You can’t adjust the ringer volume. Just the media volume.
Don’t know why you would want that swipe up gesture. It eats up screen space and very awkward to use.
What about Gcam? Is HDR+ and autofocus working?

Yepp, that is only appearing if you enable swipe up gestures from Settings > System > Gestures.

I am able to download now.
Not sure exactly why but after granting storage permission before launching the app first time after installation did the trick.
Basically, the apps asks to allow access to save files the first time you launch the app and even after granting the permission the browser failed to recognise the permission as being granted. That’s why the images were not saving because the browser thought that I didn’t grant permission despite selecting the option to access the storage on phone.
This time I didn’t launch the app after installing but made necessary changes under the App info page with the storage permission. The browser didn’t have to ask later, and the images are now getting saved.
Seems like a bug. I have reported to Mozilla as well

The navbar still lights up after enabling gestures and the Google widget at the bottom has different padding than the icons so the Google bar is wider than the icons. Not really an issue since most people use 3rd party launchers anyway.

If you guys don’t find digital wellbeing in the settings option then go to the Play store, search digital wellbeing and it’ll show an update. Simply install it, and then you’ll find the digital wellbeing option in the settings and even under each app’s info as “time spent in app”
There’s more updates waiting in play store like Action Services, Google lens and any other updates based on the apps you have installed.

Can’t save images in Firefox browser. Even after installing the app many times the issue is still there. Not sure why? It wasn’t a problem until I updated to Pie.
All the reqd permissions are granted yet I can’t save any image on Firefox despite long pressing and selecting the option to save image, any helpful suggestions would be great!

Could be the case. I’ve only timed it once after I got the update and it went from 22% to 100% in exactly 1 hour, which is slightly better than normal for my phone.

Happened to me as well, after reboot it was still empty. Few minutes later it was full of apps, even those which I used before reboot. Working fine since then (so far).
Update to A1 Pie v10.0.3.0, on Play store setting under play protect certificate: device is not certified.
So it’s like this. The updates were pull back because of some very serious bugs. The first version has bugs related to: 4g, wi-fi, gps connectivity and some swipe functions. The second version of the stable has fixed the wi-fi, the swipe and the gps but not the 4g. If your phone is updated to the day the only problem you should have is the 4g. The 4g problem it related to the missing lte bands 4, 7, 20 fdd that are mostly used by vodafone romania. But not all lte bands are missing. The chinese bands like 38 are still there so the previous digi romania user had 4g because it was using band 38, a chinese band. Yes, digi in some areas uses a chinese band for 4g – band 38 tdd. My advice – for the people that did not update to pie like me – disable the automatic update and wait for a better build – for the people that had updated their devices – in a week or two a new update will be available.

I used the automatic non root method with Oreo, and then it worked with pie too.
I use arnova g2 latest version, but I’ve the tap to focus problem.
