its my mom’s phone, its been like this for about 5 hours and its heating up. the device is poco m3
Absolutely BOOTLOOP.
All you can just FLASHING NEW ROM.
Have you held the power button to turn it off, then tried turning it on again?
yeah but then its the same
Honestly you’re probably best either ringing up xiaomi if you have warranty, or reflash miui using their tool. Have a look on XDA also
my father said hes gonna send it to an electronic “repair shop” we’re just scared it might blow up
oh will do that, thanks
Is there no way you can hard reset it? Maybe google it for you phone?
Think of it as a gift from poco
Buy mi 11
If every method here doesn’t work try to drain it then charge and open again and see if it works.
This problem always occurs in Poco M3 and Redmi 9T that’s why I never drain, power off or reboot my device and I also turned off automatic updates until MIUI provide fix for this
Happened to my girlfriend like two days ago. I let it sit like that for ages, then held the button until it went black and immediately let go. It booted within a minute then. I’m sure you’ve tried that though :/
Good luck!
Pretty sure you can if it’s the signed firmware from Xiaomi? How else would they flash from factory or have a phone recover from a bad firmware?
Instead of taking it to the repair shop, take it to the nearest Mi service center, they have the tools to unbrick which the repair shop might not have. Also if its under warranty it’ll be fixed for free
That sounds very suspicious, if it still has warranty then use it
I think you are mistaken. You really can flash anything, but if the firmware isn’t signed and bootloader not unlocked you are stuck in a bootloop.
Happened to me just now, booted in recovery and wiped my data
There is an ancient method which may work but only using special tools. Disassemble the phone and disconnect and re-connect the battery. I had an old phone which got stuck on the Mi logo, luckily it was an redmi note 3 and I easily took the back panel of and disconnected the battery.
I think letting the battery to run out is the best passive option
Just let the battery to run out and see if that will work
My worst fear. I am sorry this happened to you and I hope I will never have to go through it.
Bricked
This happend to me on my Mi Note 10. Holding power down+power button worked, and i menaged to restart it.
But, on my friends phone, note 9 pro, it was also stuck on MIUI, and nothing worked. He went to the store, and they discovered that his motherboard got broken, somehow.
I hope it will never happen to you, you can lose your data too it seems
while its stuck on the miui logo, call that phone using another phone. Try around two times. The phone will start ringing and will boot.
This issue is happening with lots a poco users since 2-3 days. Its an issue with poco launcher. As soon as you get it to boot, uninstall poco launcher updates and disable its auto update.
Hope this helps
PS: If call method doesnt work somehow, boot the phone into safe mode (Im assuming you know how to do that else search “miui safe mode munchy” on yt.) Once it boots into safe mode, uninstall poco launcher updates, turn off auto update and reboot. The phone will boot normally.
Did it work? Can you give us updates?
That happened to me twice in two different phones..all i did was holding the the power button and the up and down volume all at once for like 10seconds….then it restarts
Soft brick perhaps? Did your mom turn off the phone while it was updating?
This may seem stupid but, yesterday even my 9t pro’s battery drained and it got stuck like this. I saw a few videos where they told to flash the phone etc. One particular comment on a video told to try calling the phone from some other phone. I did and it opened up. I was using poco launcher which had crashed and didn’t recover. Ended up installing microsoft launcher and it’s been working fine since.
What are you doing on this sub?
we already went over this in the xiaomi discord, get your device returned
Always happens to me with each restart, only press power button til restart again
Oh yeah totally forgot i made this post, yes it did work, i pressed the power button until it restarts again
i guess charging for too long? i dont know
Happened to my many times. I just hold power button for around 1-2 minutes maybe until it boot up.
Yes did that, thanks
i went into safemode and restarted it from there
i guess this will only happens if you charge all day (i think my mom’s did charge all day)
probably cuz when it turned on there was alot of updates i guess she didn’t update the system or something, it restarted nonetheless thanks
yes went into safemode
That’s good to hear!
Idiot
Just remove the sim card tray…
It should unlock it
Xiaomi’s MIUI is sometimes do a faulty booting as I experience it occasionally.
Others might already suggested it but Factory Data Reset is unnecessary. Just do a Forced Reboot by pressing the Power Button for about 5 seconds. If the phone is still stucked in MIUI boot animation, then that’s the sign you need to do a Factory Data Reset.
nah it’s always like that for me too with redmi 9t. Volume+ plus power on button works like a charm, tho I still get anxiety when it soft bricks like that
Yeah it gave a hell of a lot of anxiety since the first time it happened. I somehow get through every update and reboot via volume+ and power button tho
Pray
I have similar problems when I try to reboot my redmi note 9 pro (can’t even update to 12.5 cause of that).
I try to press and hold the power and volume down till it goes to boot recovery and finally turns on but when it didn’t, I had to clear my data and start the phone 🗿
This shit just happened to me yesterday, I just did a factory reset but I also want to know if there could’ve been different methods
Mod forgot to say thank you. But thank you from someone else with encountered the same issue.
What kind of garbage os is this .. don’t they set timeouts in their code
My phone got bricked by downgrading the MIUI from 12.0.9 to 12.0.5 and it was bootlooping on the Redmi logo screen with the Android logo down blinking. I had to Wipe the phone using the stock recovery. Maybe I will switch the the other ROM which doesn’t brick the phone. I lost 54GBs of my data which I didn’t backup.
have a great day 🤙🤙
Glad to hear it! 👍🤗
凸ಠ益ಠ)凸 lmfao
It’s really wierd, the same thing happened to me today. I was doing my normal things on my poco m2, then poco launcher crashed. I restarted the phone but it didn’t restart instead it was stuck on boot logo. Had to reset it. After reseting, I again had to restart and again it was stuck so had to reset again. So I had to reset my phone twice in a day. It’s really annoying not to mention the data I lost.
Is there a reason that everyone is stuck on bootscreen, I remeber that there was no recent update.
everyone having the same problem on the same day? my problem is exactly like urs
Calling phone worked for me too, thanks for precious info.
That’s suck an odd thing. Anybody have more info on how this works?
Yes that is definitely wierd. But there was no update I installed as far as I can remember
Idk if it was a coincidence or what but it worked
I was stuck for 2 hrs trying all the internet solutions until I read ur comment and I tried and it worked!!!!!!!
God bless you
Thanks a lottt
(btw why does this thing work? just curious….)
I remember reading about it long ago in some tech forum myself (not reddit).
I think the phone enters in a loop checking and activating the sim card…
I think that might be the reason why somebody reported you can “unstuck” the phone by calling the number in it (I never tried that myself though).
I always use the sim card tray removal trick.
I feel bad for all people who had to factory reset their phones because of this xiaomi nonsense.
Thanks for the award.
Oh god, how is it? hope its all good now
yes after 2 resets and lossing some data, everything is fine now. Thanks for asking. Is your fixed?
yes mine is okay now but is it me or xiaomi phones are full of bugs here and there😅
it’s miui. the first thing i’ll do after warranty period is to flash a custom rom.
im sorry but what is a custom rom? i heard someone talking about it but i dont know what it is
all manufacturers like xiaomi, oneplus etc have their skin on top of android like miui or oxygen os. So if you want to change the android skin or even android version that is in your device you flash a custom rom on your device. Custom Roms are great in term of performance, battery life, privacy and customization. You can compare it to changing the windows on your laptop (but android has more restrictions).
Altough this all sounds really good. But there are many issues while flashing custom rom like rooting the device, unlocking bootloader, changing the recovery, then finally flashing custom rom. It not only voids warranty but while flashing you can also brick your phone which can be really hard to solve.
Flashing a custom rom can be tough and can even completely make your phone useless. So it’s better to try on older phone first.
Custom Roms have lot more than this like which custom rom to choose, but hopefuly I was able to give you some idea.
thanks for the info, though i dont think im gonna be doing custom rom anytime soon cuz it sounds risky and i dont really have any old phones, thanks for your time dude 👍
Omg thank you so much you saved me from so much anxiety and i really didnt want to tell my mom that my new phone was already broken, bless you youre a life saver.
Omg thank you so much you saved me from so much anxiety and i really didnt want to tell my mom that my new phone was already broken, bless you youre a life saver.
Is there any hope not wipping the data .. my phone i the same status.
Is wipe data selection removes all the photos videos and all the data on the device or what?!
Thanks man .
I’ve been stuck at MiUi logo since 2 days.
First this happened on 28 July.
But I was able to unstuck by calling from another phone.
But at 31 August i accidentally rebooted the phone while it was on do not disturb mode.
2days in a row, I dug up the internet and Reddit but found nothing which can recover my phone without losing data.
Just a while ago I found your comment about removing sim card slot and applied.
Alhamdulliah it worked.
And I’m replying to your comment from this very phone.
Thanks man you’re a life saver!!!!!!!
You’re welcome 🙏🏻
Thanks. Man. It worked.
>reason why somebody reported you can “unstuck” the phone by calling the number in it (I never tried that myself though).
Wow it works! Thanks!!!!
Glad I could help
lol, terrible advice in hindsight
This method worked well for me too, tysm
OH MY GOD, i am in 2023 and it is still works. tysm.
