the same issue I’ve owned my phone Xiaomi 14T Pro for almost 3 days, and the System Launcher is draining the battery more than any app (39.59%). Is this normal? Please share your experience with this phone!I’ve noticed that over 7 hours and 42 minutes of active use, my battery dropped significantly, with System Launcher taking up 39.59%, followed by Instagram (12.29%), Wild Rift (10.28%), and TikTok (8.28%). Has anyone else experienced this kind of battery drain with the System Launcher on this phone? Any tips or insights would be appreciated!
I don’t know why
But i literally can’t
When i try it, it says “app not installed”
Then install the newer version of the launcher, see if the problem is fixed.
Ok, thanks for sharing.
That’s true. MIUI is good. But the Hyper OS just drops it down to the floor. Camera apps lag, advance feature on miui gone, battery consumption almost twice when using miui, performance drops and so on. Someone is trolling and just want to sabotage the Xiaomi company from the inside. So stupid

Well the system launcher does eat the battery this much. But pretty impressive with location and Bluetooth enabled. Btw I’m on 2.104
Maybe try like others said, clear data the system launcher and restart then try to limit the launcher activity
I can’t even uninstall the update anyways
Idk man
I got much better battery life on my previous Poco F5..
Also the launcher didn’t eat the battery like system launcher is rn
Like im just confused
Seems normal.. mine get average 6-12 hr depends on the usage with location always on and Bluetooth always on for my watch. Plus a 1-2 hr daily calls
How?
I went through something like this a while ago with the Redmi Note 11, to solve it you need to uncheck the launcher in “Usage Access” in the settings
I have the phone and that’s normal .
Because of these UI shenanigans, I left Xiaomi for Samsung and I am happy with my choice.
Might comback if they optimise the UI and decide to give us all the feature that CN users enjoy.
For the system launcher. I first reinstalled the lastest update. After a few day i deleted the cache and the data, then rebooted the phone(deleting the data of the app will reset your home screen so take a picture of it first). After 3-4 days the system launcher doesn’t consume much battery anymore. I can’t guarantee it will works but that was what i did.
For telegram if you don’t care about notifications just restrict it as much as posible. You can even download the hidden setting app and restrict it from running in the background. Just be careful when using this app
Edit: just added some stuffs
You could try deleting and reinstalling telegram to see if that fixes the issue. Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin should ideally optimise app background activity to prevent idle drain.
If all fails, factory reset the device and if you’re still facing the same issue, you could always return the device and/or get it replaced under warranty.
Excelsior!
From your battery status using phone over 13 hrs post charging. For system launcher is using more power it seems. Just clear cache memory system launcher and reboot. Apart from aspect things looks normal.
Uninstall the launcher update, things will get better. 😉
(Worked for me)
My 13T Pro is the same. What a disappointment
I got my 14t pro a week ago..
And every single day it’s telegram or system launcher just eating the battery.
If it’s normal then it’s crazy..
I would say this is very par for the course. While the 14T Pro has good battery life, it isn’t exceptional – GSMArena gives it an active use score of 12:32h.
Perhaps there are settings you could tinker with to prevent idle battery drain. Or perhaps just a minor bug which should ideally rectify itself.
I would not pay too much attention to the minutiae of which app is using how much battery just use the device.
