i don’t have that on mi9tpro but anyway. that’s why i love the mi9tpro so much i instantly notice when an app uses the ffc to spy on me.
and i found a lot.also a lot websites do it when the browser has camera permission (which you have to give if you want to share a picture, even when it’s from the gallery, to Instagram for example.)
it’s very interesting surfing the internet and see who all want to have a picture of me.
that’s a thing all people with static ffc never notice.

This notification shows up when you’re on call and then you leave WhatsApp. Obviously your call is still active and then you get notification WhatsApp is using your mic or camera while in background.
The thing is that this notification doesn’t disappear on its own when call is ended which is miui issue.
So big brother is not spying on you more than usual of course.

For me, it shows up for microphone access. Shows up even when I’m not using Whatsapp. When I disable it, it gets enabled again sometime later.

Hmm, I’m not sure. Depends which app is enabling it (if it’s not WhatsApp could be Ok Google or some other app that has microphone access granted).
I’d still assume it’s Miui thing (just like downloaded document notification appearing days later) but some monitoring to see which app triggers it could be useful to put your mind at ease

When you hold the notification itself it should show ‘More settings’ and ‘Done’, if you go into More settings you will see notification options and there you can turn it off from showing up.
You will notice these notifications are actually coming from “Security” app from Miui so it’s up to you if you want to disable it or nah. It’s useful but annoying since it doesn’t work properly
