You’re talking about 14 ultra. OP is talking about base 14 & 15

We don’t even know what kind of cameras they’re putting on the 16 and you’re already saying it’ll be “much better” lol. The 16 is releasing in March next year, why would you want to wait for it when its still nearly a year away?

Overall it is better. Those who are saying improvement are marginal are not looking at all the aspects.

Here’s a few things I’ve noticed being improved:

>Better sharpness (especially telephoto)
>Portrait mode is more flexible (can edit blur later for all blur types instead of only the generic one)
>Only the telephoto sensor is upgraded. Video detail is impressive and so is the zoom. Base 14 telephoto was really soft when you use digital zoom.
>Video stabilization on telephoto has improved (probably for other cams as well)
>RAW is about the same (except for telephoto which has better details)
>Digital zoom between lenses (eg: 1.2x, 1.5x, 2x) are lot better. On base 14 they were too soft
>Leica authentic on 14x had slight sharpness issue (depends on subject) but 15x fixes that.

IMO if your getting a great deal on the X14 then that’s a better value because some of these shortcomings can be dealt by editing or compromising. If you want more polished output (less editing needed) & experience (faster lens chargethen X15 might be the better choice

I think it’s marginally better software wise? But tbh I might have opted for the mechanical aperture control of the 14 instead.

Got the new 15 for the price of 2 (two) new , like new 14 on the SH market where I live. Thought of downgrading and keeping the money. I would say the upgrade in camera is 15-20%.

Kept it for the other upgrades it has. Battery, fingerprint type, latest snapdragon. Upgraded from S20 FE after 4.5 years.
