My phone just updated to MIUI 14.0.12 global. In a few minutes it automatically installed a sh*t tons of unwanted games, plus other weird apps. One of them is called Bouygues AppCloud and it’s repeatedly spamming notifications in french and autoinstalling stuff. I can’t even uninstall this damn app.
I can’t believe this company is still using this cheap strategy of filling its phones with unwanted bloatware. They want to be like Apple and Samsung but they still act like a cheap desperate company trying to get money in shady ways.
I’ve been using Xiaomi phones for 3 years and I’m kinda used to that but this time it’s too much.
Bloatware list for Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G

>Alternatively, you should switch to another brand that doesn’t have bloatware (tell us which).
OnePlus
Google pixel
Motorola
Asus
Heck, Samsung has it but at least isn’t doing anything and things like their file manager won’t pop up adds like xiaomi
Okay well, you continue being “sickened” by the bloat and obsess over custom ROMs while the rest of us enjoy the phones. 😂
I think people like you have too much time on their hands and just look for something to complain about.
Bought my frist xiaomi almost 3y ago. Checking xda every 3 months if there’s something… Always nust eu rom, and everyone has issues with it. Especially battery. I know how to install roms for over a decade, still have working galaxy s1 s3 s7 op3, but don’t want to lose banking support on main driver because xiaomi bloats me and because banks treat rooted or costume romed decides as second class compromised users. S3 and op3 have so so many different roms developed, while xiaomi shit barely got one a year in. With problems. And it wasn’t a cheap one, i got a flagship and it does work, but all the bloat sickens me. I’ll probably adb debug and try to remove this shit from console lol… Xiaomi, never again.
I caught it installing 4 mobile games alongside “security update”. They ARE the threat.
Well Oppo have a lot less Bloatware comparing with Xiaomi and even Samsung, I have used the three and in what matters software coloros its kinda solid
I know this comment is old but where can I find these “lists” by experienced users? I’d like to debloat my note 13 pro 5G and I’m afraid of messing it up
These remain phones with good compromises, for the price the competition is little present or not as homogeneous / not as complete on the offer. I I think the problem comes from the fact that they release too many models and too quickly, they have too many models to follow in update management, and this is visible in the finished product. There are some very annoying bugs that are never fixed even if the user reports it with bug reports/logs, it’s a shame. Otherwise you get what you pay for, it does the trick if you have a tight budget
Dunno about newer models, i haven’t purchased any xiaomi phones since then, maybe company has degraded in terms of providing good quality hardware, if this is the case, this news will spread fast and they will lose their name and reputation on the market.
Redmi note 4 bro… For a while now the latest Xiaomi/Poco have been full of bugs and battery drains, we’re not talking here about the old Xiaomis which apparently worked without too many problems. My Poco is debloated to the maximum possible (according to my needs and in order to maintain good optimization) and this has not changed dramatically . To give you an example, my Poco F3 has less battery life than an Xperia 5 II (4520mAh vs 4000mAh), and my Poco X3 pro barely holds the battery better than the Xperia 5 II (4000mAh vs 5160mAh) .
As I said in my first comment, ok the hardware is relatively good for the price (excellent processor for the low/mid range segment and for the price), but in terms of optimization there is work to be done behind it, I can tell you (especially for a company like Xiaomi which previously developed ROMs)
[You watch hentai](https://www.reddit.com/r/Lewd_Not_Hentai/comments/10xh27l/good_slide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Thats cuz you are too lazy to research a little, and follow simple guide on how to remove ads (bloatware) from your phone. And also before buying xiaomi read about it, and theit business model, so you won’t be surprised by adds, they offer you top hardware for low price, what else do you want?
Battery drain? Lol what? Xiaomi have very good batteries, i had an xiaomi redmi note 4 pro for 5 years or so, battery life has not decreased, phone still perfectly works. The only reason i change to newer models, is when android stops giving system updates. In other ways phone still satisfy all the needs. + If you dedicate some time for research you can remove safely remove bloatware from the phone, and have powerful cellphone, that can easily compete with latest iphones, in terms of hardware.
Don’t do that, if you try india u will get ton of shit😂
This is why people like you should not do this kind of stuff, cuz u have no idea what u are unistalling, in first place why u even touch stuff like that? It does not have any ads, rofl. And u also can’t go unistalling all system aps cuz u want to, cuz this will have impact on system, in best case you will get some glitches, in worse brick your cell phone.
No, it just works for me… I installed only the rom, no root or anything like that. Maybe it’s because I use a beta rom release 🤔
How come xiaomi.eu can use Gpay? I thought the bootloader needed to be locked for that?
Or are you talking about the workaround solution?
Well it’s just giving a feedback, not complaining. I’m aware Xiaomi phones are cheap, I’ll get a more expensive phone next time. End of the story
Me too. I’ve never had such an annoying phone. I’ll never buy a Xiaomi phone again, it’s incredibly frustrating
Can you check if Malaysian banks like Maybank, Bank Islam, Hong Leong Bank work with rooted device?
Magisk can be hidden from specific apps.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Magisk/comments/107cz62/tutorial\_make\_banking\_apps\_work\_on\_rooted\_phones/
You cant install netflix, banking apps, etc with rooted phones.
Any Sony Xperia phone ever?
Even better this web api: https://adb.miuies.com/#/
I want to unlock the bootloader but the miunlock tool doesnt work, there is any other way?
Can you delete the apps? The company I’m buying mine from said for me to put them in a folder and hide the folder
I think I’ll switch to S23 FE as soon as I can (I mean available in Italy and priced around 500-550 euros with some deals).
But thanks for the advice!
Thanks for sharing.
Is there a reason why I can’t open the .exe I downloaded from this?
I have already restricted and revoked everything I could. MIUI hidden settings didn’t work for me unfortunately. Today I managed to enter a few adb commands 😃 I managed to uninstall everything that was useless for me (Facebook/meta pack, msa, MIUI analytics, weather, notes)
Yeah.

Кто сталкивался с этой ситуацией в данном телефоне после обновления, нужна помощь в решении данного вопроса.
I have a similar experience to yours and I draw a similar conclusion, but I still appreciate Sony a little more than Poco even if they both have their faults. Yes I plan to debloat soon, I no longer had a PC to carry out the ADB process, now I have one. I will do it in the coming months because there are too many unnecessary applications running in the background and consuming battery unnecessarily 😅 I just hope it will last me a while and that the motherboard won’t give out, for now I’ve had it for 1 year and 7 months (Poco X3 pro) I haven’t noticed any particular hardware issues (except game shutdowns from time to time), I play with it a lot every day and I use it when it’s charging
Yes I agree with you on these points, Sony abandons its devices very (too) quickly and it’s shameful because their devices can last for years given the quality design they offer . And yes MIUI is full of bloatware and crap of all kinds, it’s hell 😅 I’m waiting for my warranty to end in order to root it and install some mods (and possibly a custom ROM if necessary )
I use universal android debloater. https://github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater.
It works great and has some explanations con every package. What it does and if it’s safe to use. Bear un mind that it will reinstaló al the bullshit with the system’s updates but it doesn’t take too long to debloat.
bruh just debloat it with adb
try this https://github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater
Thanks

You should look for device and custom rom specific instructions. Plenty on Youtube too.
Don’t know why that happens then
I’m in Italy
Doesn’t happen to me at all, I think its because I live in the EU tho
Oh… guess I use a fake banking app with fake money that pays real bills with real money… banking apps and gpay works with all the rom’s from xiaomi.eu.
No they don’t….even MIUI betas don’t run google pay, not to mention some shady basement builds.
I liken tailoring personal devices to climbing a sheer rock face. There are people above and people below. I come here and feel like such a yokel because flashing roms is beyond my expertise at this point. But I was in a conversation where the topic was MSWord and the comment was made, “Well, this is all new to me….” i was dumbfounded.
I always get new ideas of what is possible from this thread and enjoy the sense of accomplishment when i can implement them. It just takes me longer…
I am thinking of getting a Xiaomi can you please point me in the right direction re flashing a custom ROM?
Blackberry.
I don’ know, I bought my 11T Pro from a retail store in Italy and I’m facing the same problems
Switched from Italy to Germany, it doesn’t fix it
I’m in Italy lol
11T Pro
bro I was 3 hours late for work for this shitty update
If you are “done with Xiaomi”, listen to this guy. Buy Realmi and Motorola and be happy.
You could say the problem is not using their official app, but I doubt it would be better
Np!
Same with my Garmin Varia app. Won’t buy a xaomi again. Funny you have an issue with their own mi band…
Did all that but it’s still closing them.. Next phone won’t be xaomi
I see. Thanks
Theres no definite solution for it.
I cant use the Notify app for the Mi band because of the stupid xiaomi optimization, even with it “turned off” in the app settings.
Me, I deleted it.
Thank you for the advice after the fact, very useful. Btw several of those bloatware lists said it was ok to uninstall battery optimization app.
Google safety is an android 13 preinstalled app, I got in in custom ROM too (not Miui based)
Get apps was always installed, that’s the app that updates the system apps, it was just hidden/disabled in some regions because of availability issues
And anyone with a brain would much prefer that to Samsung being just over 50 percent and apple being in the high 40s it’s honestly embarrassing watching people attack Xiaomi for a business model that is much more respectable than any other company. Buy the device flash the EU ROM and have a phone that you didn’t have to pay an extra 50 percent for.
It’s like when the Poco GT 4 came out people were bitchn about the UI ignoring the fact they just got a Snapdragon 8 gen 1 with a decent amoled screen for 500 dollars. Y’all need to wake up and realise that if you buy the cheapest phone with that chipset you are going to have to put some work in to make it a worthy device. If you want the same chipset, storage, ram and display go give Samsung 1500 dollars and enjoy the fact that you just spent 1k to save you from 3 hours work to flash a ROM and change some settings.
💯
These comments are hilarious. Y’all knew miui was miui and still bought another Xiaomi device expecting different. Get over it go throw ya phone in the ocean and buy a Samsung or apple device you simply simply simps
Not being hard on those like you that actually try and take initiative on fixing things.
My comment is directed at those who use their time to complain on Reddit instead of finding a solution.
On the chinese side, Realmi is a cleaner option. Motorola has a very clean android just beat out by the Pixel phones.
Dont be too hard on those of us who are hesitant. I am in the situation where I’m configuring aa k50 pro with a chinese rom. The “Get apps” app constantly pesters me to update my apps, but the apps in question all appear to be the very bloatware i want to delete. Additionally reading this site, it was mentioned that I shouldn’t delete the “get apps” app because I can cause internal issues in the phone.
I like Xiaomi phones and have owned them for the last 8 years. I just wish it was easier to reliably understand what can be deleted without adverse effect.
Click the 🔒 icon for the app you don’t want to close in the background along with setting the app to No Restriction.
Yes
Just flash the EU ROM and be done with it.
Just change the region to a country from the EU
I stopped suggesting this brand to others too .. we have many alternatives now a days like iqoo etc
But I believe it was sourced from the Bouygues Telecom stock and then put on the market place, because they have brought cargo of them, they have a long running trade with Xiaomi and most of all , they have sent free Xiaomi by cargo load to their customers as a way to lock them in, I know at last 10 people to have receive one without asking.
Actually, you have a french phone… Bouygues is a french Carrier, and only a french mainland one. There is no way it is shown on non eu and non french Xiaomi except maybe if you put a french sim on it… Still it pisses me off to get tons of unwanted stuff on the phone (use the search on the main launcher, boom 🤯).
You can delete that thing…?
Better to install a Pixel based ROM like PixelExperience or PixelOS.
Yes I am also thinking of leaving xiaomi phones I have been using them for around 7 years but bloatware is annoying
Did you find a solution for it? Or just living with the optimization app which keeps forcing closing my apps even though I set them at no restrictions…
This doesnt work its still closing apps on my redmi note 10
Thank you!
Thank you!
It’s funny cus using a Chinese rom is not too bad while on China
Do banking apps work on a custom ROM? Google pay?
I don’t recommend motorola or OnePlus. Green line issues. I had to retire two motorola phones that I had, an edge 30 and a G52. They do offer free screen replacement (if approved), but will not fix the damage that occurs from the process of replacing the screen. Motorola looks good, feels good but actually has terrible build quality.
Yes, you needn’t even have an unlocked bootloader. Just have USB debugging enabled.
5% cap
Yep mostly Indian for miui. Indians really love their Xiaomi’s 😂
Tim is that you?
Buy a Google pixel, you’ll never look back.
Stock android experience
Totally agree! Advertisements or bloatware may still be acceptable on a phone costing around $100-200, but it drives me nuts when I test Xiaomi for around $1,000 in a store and I see that this crap is also on these devices… Xiaomi is making a mistake and I hope that one day they will suffer severe consequences of their marketing..
Well to be fair, their phone are dirt cheap than other and it is customize able so for me its forgiveable. A long time and experienced xiaomi user should be able to manage bloatware and ads in this phone easily
that’s not an excuse for Xiaomi to keep doing this
same thing this morning, just use adb, you need your PC and USB debugging on in your developer settings
See if you can find a factory europe rom. That fixed mine.
I wouldn’t even classify bloatware as “problems” though.
You buy a budget Xiaomi phone with great hardware/price ratio and you get some extra apps you need to delete as a compromise. Hard and stressful for many apparently.
Yep, adb is mainly used to remove bloatwares in non rooted phones
Who deletes battery optimisation?
Camera , security, battery , miui launcher, Xiaomi acc etc are the core apps of miui deletion or tempering with them will soft brick your phone!
Please rely on bloatware list released by experienced users, who has already tested by removing the bloatwares
Acting on your own Accord will only damage the phone!
Does it work with non rooted phones?
0 bloatware in my 8 xiaomis.
The only apps that were installed when I downloaded MIUI 14 Global were Google Safety and GetApps, GetApps uninstalled itself after a week.
>okay google voice trigger
I’m sorry to hear about your frustrations. But I have never encountered this among the six devices that I’ve bought from Xiaomi over the past 5 years, even the ones that were meant for the Chinese market (custom rom-ed, of course).
What’s missing, sometimes, is the “Google Assistant Ambient Mode”, but that’s on Google, not Xiaomi.
\> mi pad 6
It’s pretty good.
What model do you have? In most of models you can install custom rom and it’s the best way to get rid of bloatware + boost performance and battery.
No, it give the best of miui with no ads Et smooth and easy system to enjoy your xiaomi phone. But if you’re not confortable with this procedure, at your own risks you can brik your phone.
It’s not only about the preinstalled apps. I guess that even if you’re in Austria if you change your region, NEW apps will start installing out of nowhere.
I do it even before I put on a screen protector. Beat that! 😛
I don’t think any of the fanbois defend Xiaomi’s policies.
Virtually all of us will tell you to use a custom rom (you need a snapdragon chip for that).
We just like cheap and powerful phones.
The reason maintainers working on EU rom is simply because there are a lot of enthusiast using Xiaomi and thus wiling to maintain on it. Enthusiast love Xiaomi because their weakness is the software which could be tinkered around.
This was my thinking as well. I decided to buy xiaomi because then i fan just flash a custom rom and all will be good right? Wrong, all rom had bugs that while minor, doesn’t exist in global rom. Eu rom is good but i can’t use okay google voice trigger. None of them is perfect, samsung’s OneUI meanwhile other than heavy is doesn’t have all the weakness i mentioned above and having a lot more feature
My issue with xiaomi is their OS which exists on all their devices. The fact that my samsung tab a7 receives more proper software update care than my more expensive/popular xiaomi mi 9t is just frustrating. This is also what’s holding me back from upgrading my tablet to mi pad 6. I love the specs, I can’t handle another 3 years of xiaomi update shenanigans
Hi. To deal with the battery optimisation problem, MIUI has an in-built option Settings -> Battery -> Gear -> App battery -> Choose App -> No restrictions.
It has just also happened to me (I too am from Italy). I updated my 11T Pro from MIUI 14.0.9 to 14.0.12 (EU ROM version) and it has automatically installed:
* Candy Crush Saga
* Solitaire
* Color Water Sort 3D
* GetApps (which I can’t uninstall by long pressing on it)
* Ice Cream Inc.
I didn’t expect it to happen and I’m quite disappointed if I can be honest.
EDIT: after writing this post 3 other apps have been installed automatically
– Stack Ball
– ThiefPuzzle
– Triple Match
Also an app called “Bouygues AppCloud” is sending me unwanted notifications
People expect cheap phones to be problem free xD
Admittedly, not every Xiaomi phone out there is good. That goes for Samsung or any brand. I’ve had a few bad ones (Mi 3, Redmi 4 Prime).
Since then, I’m super careful with what I buy for me and my family. I’ve not had any complaints over the past five years.
It’s hard to understand how people can shit on MIUI when there are dozens of maintainers working on the EU rom used by thousands of us. Surely MIUI must be doing something right 😀
go to Additional Settings -> Region
But will it delete all apps?
Install Xiaomi eu ROM. No bloat at all and a lot more features and control. It’s very smooth but yes a pain in the ass to install and update depending on the setup you run
when did I say it was bloatware?
I deleted it because I didnt want the system constantly closing background apps for marginal battery optimization.
It wasnt considered a crucial apps and several “safe to delete” lists said it was ok to do so, im just giving a fair warning, of course it was my fault.
What phone do you have?
just switch to location germany, and most bloatware will just vanish …
LMFAO.
Which phone do you own?
I believe that Xiaomi phones are cleaner than Redmi ones.
BTW I bought a Samsung two month ago and I’m really happy about it.
Nah, that’s too much work bro. People would rather spend their time making reddit posts and complaining.
Xiaomi… I’m not even surprised
Bouygues is a French Network carrier that’s weird you have one of their apps
This is why i installed my own custom rom, crdroid 9.8 on a poco x3 pro(vayu)
Additionally, custom kernel and drivers(cause games)(ngk kernel)
I can’t believe that stock fundamental software such as a file explorer had ads.
Yt is filled with these kind of tutorials mate.
That’s on you, battery related apps aren’t really considered bloatware
I’m in Italy too. Bloatware was under control but it somehow exploded with the 14.0.12 update of this morning. It’s a bloatware mess.
Unblock bootloader and appreciate the magic of the real miui…
the app is not updated very often, so the apps considered crucial are outdated. I got infinite loading screen after uninstalling the battery optmizer thing, it wasnt considered crucial.
In Austria I don’t have any problems with bloatware, yes it’s annoying because it’s pre-installed but I can just delete it
Every single action is undoable. It doesn’t let you tamper with system crucial apps
the game turbo app was capping my fps to 60 like wtf
beware of what youre uninstalling tho, I lost 5 years of whatsapp backup because of that
In settings, search for region
How do you change region?
I was done with Xiaomi after my 11T kept overheating then the screen and back started popping off. Took it to the service center and said that can’t be fixed under the warranty. Calling them and emailing them also didn’t get me anywhere.
After sales support is horrible, plus the bloatware and overheating. Never again.
Just wanted to vent a little bit regarding xiaomi smartphones.
I’ve been using xiaomi phones since Redmi 3s prime launch, never had major issues.
Currently I’ve been using a Redmi note 10 pro (global) for idk 1.5 years. Great phone, decent quality and performance and amazing price.
But this is not about xiaomi phones but their crappy Chinese OS.
Nothing has changed since MIUI 12, I’m currently on MIUI 14.0.2 and this OS is starting to feel real outdated and old for these reasons.
– They try to copy paste iOS interface but in a really bad way, everything looks so unfinished and buggy. ( like the notification panel 2.0)
– lack of customization: most of themes on the store don’t work and look like some 2000’s themes that i used to have on my Xperia.
– widgets from global ROM are still the same as MIUI 11, same clock, same everything, why can’t we get some updated widgets?
– lock screen from the first xiaomi phones, no good customization options at all.
– shitton of unnecessary functions and bloatware ( security, game launcher, ram memory extension) all of those apps are bad and just pure cheap marketing ( huur we can expand your memory and clean your phone in expense of less battery and overall performance)
– no upstates: JESUS, even the old iphone 11 is still getting OS updates periodically but a 2 year phone is stuck on Android security update from APRIL!!, and it’s been decades since a major update for MIUI OS.
– forcing their cheap software instead of Google apps, XIAOMI, WE DON’T LIKE MI PICKS, WE DONT LIKE MI BROWSER
I can keep going regarding how bad this OS is regarding customization, memory and battery management but that’s all for now, I know i can switch to a custom ROM for better experience but I use lot of IT management and bank apps that require a non rooted phone and using 3rd party apps is not an option since this phones already drain their battery so fast when having too many apps on background.
Thanks for reading, here’s a cookie 🍪
>You can either complain, or be a wise consumer like the rest of us and do the following:
you forgot option 3, not buying xiaomi. i am done with xiaomi not fixing bugs and releasing subpar/nonexistent bug fixes.
switched over to samsung s20 fe last december and had some improvements here and there have been some improvements as i am using the phone, not only during major OS updates.
they’re not perfect (booting is for some reason is extremely slow, battery is subpar compared to mi 9t) but they offer me better OS experience than pixel experience, [xioami.eu](https://xioami.eu), or global ROM. had i not been so annoyed by MIUI, i would have bought poco f4 (my friend bought this on my recommendation) which has better performance, battery life, charging speed for the same price.
If you have the time and are willing in doing a somewhat permanent fix, then you may try installing a custom rom for your phone. No more ads and what not 🙂
Yeah it’s very sad. You can uninstall most of the apps with adb. Just google search what all apps are okay to uninstall, because some apps are necessary and will break the system if you uninstall them. The phone runs great after de-bloating. It’ll be a much cleaner experience after that.
I’ve owned OnePlus and Motorola phones before. Very clean. Agreed. My last non-Xiaomi phone was 2017. This was because Xiaomi phones are generally cheaper as I import them directly from China and install a custom rom. Over the past 3 years, Xiaomi EU rom is my fav because it has everything I need pre-installed, without the bloat.
I am an absolute idiot. If I can install a custom rom, so can you. If you can’t read Chinese, someone in your circle will have a phone that can use Google Lens. Sit him/her down for 2 minutes and work on your new direct-from-china Xiaomi phone.
samsung still has bloat, but it mostly sits there not doing anything
Amen to that, feature phone days are coming back.
That is why I flash 3rd party builds as soon as possible.
It’s 2023, what’s an SD card? That’s what the cloud is for, I don’t care if I lose my phone or it breaks. Get a new phone, login to Google etc, things are pretty quickly the same as the old phone
bro flash eu rom on ur phone then youll be fine
Apparently it does solve the battery drain issue (wifi), I will be installing it soon
Go on yt type how to debloat poco phone using adb. Done
I demand a video tutorial!
No not really. You have to wipe everything. First you need to be logged into your Xiaomi account, then you need a PC and download Xiaomi’s unlock tool and log into it with the same account. Then connect your phone via cable and click unlock. This will start a 1 week timer, when it’s over you have to do this again and it will reset your phone and unlock the bootloader. Then you need to install a custom recovery like TWRP. (You need a PC for this too)
Then you download the actual xiaomi.eu rom. Move it to the phone and flash it with TWRP. And it’s done. Since you have TWRP you can also install magisk to have root access.
Now if you haven’t done this before it can seem very complicated, so follow a guide on YouTube or something like that
great! any quick n simple way to go about the switch over?
Yeah that’s what I said in my comment ” Xiaomi offers good hardware for the price ” , but unfortunately behind the ROM and the optimization have nothing to do I see it every day using an Xperia vs Xiaomi/Poco and in many uses. The biggest advantage of Xiaomi/Poco is the price paid for the hardware
Yeah me too, the fact that I can’t use gesture nav on launchers is really a
Deal breaker, people buy androids over iphones mostly for the customization and this completely ruins that
Well, if I ever have the money for a flagship device I would avoid Xiaomi too. But since I’m broke af, imma keep buying their budget phones and install custom roms on it.
Someone in this sub had the same issue too. Iirc, that person fixed it by changing Bluetooth audio codec from LDAC to something else, probably aac or SBC. He changed it via the app for the earbuds. Or you could also change it via developer options
I ditched the crappy MIUI in favour of LineageOS on my 10T Lite (gauguin). Never looking back.
I feel like Xiaomi and some apps of Google doesn’t work well.
Because for my part i just have issue withAndroid Auto
French region is a bloatware paradise.
Every phone loses value fast compared to apple mate
Why are you not using Xiaomi.eu? Best software combined with Xiaomi hardware
I still choose Xiaomi over Infinix. That shit really much more worse. And you can always remove the bloatware.
Xperia costs at least 30% more
Change region to Germany.
For anyone wondering, I’m located in Italy and got my phone on Amazon.
I’m done with them for another reason: No more sd card support ❗
Sd card is not about having extended storage capacity but rather about having an external storage where you can backup your precious data in case the phone breaks 💡
Hi, i’m using Xiaomi Global with Italy as the region.
0 Bloatware with MIUI 14.0.1 and Xiaomi Mi10T Pro
Bouygues is like SFR et cie, a lot of bloatware… ( coucou les FR 😆 ) Probably due to an operator overlay ROM (I suppose you bought it from them ?) But I agree that MIUI is a real pain in updating and optimizing, I couldn’t say the opposite (I often have problems with my X3 pro update after update, lots of useless things added but the defects are never resolved…)
I never had this much problem with my old Sony Xperia, never had the problems seen on Xiaomi in any case
a command tool
I also prefer the Xperia (having moved from Sony to Xiaomi/Poco), Xiaomi offers good hardware for the price but a lot of things are wrong. Everything is simpler and more functional on Xperia, on Xiaomi/Poco there is always a problem ( Optimization problem, battery drain problem, applications that do not work, status bar that does not open, alarms that work 1 time out of 2)
One really important question: where did you set your region? Because EU and USA don’t have that much bloatware. When I change from EU countries to India, on the other hand, 6+ apps automatically installed, some of which are dead lol (miui forum). Try changing regions, uninstall the unwanted apps (although they should disappear automatically upon reboot) and enjoy
What is adb ?
Well, I Disagree with you about the material of the phone, try their flagship. don’t buy the cheap one and complain about the material, don’t expect them to give you a frickin’ Flagship material by paying for $200-$300
Well it’s not an issue I ever had, my problem is more that battery just drains fast. Like I sometimes have to charge 2 times a day. If I try to be efficient and not go near 100% it can even be 3 times. I used the global rom for maybe a month max before I got xiaomi.eu and it was some time ago so I’m not sure.
I have the Global ROM too, and since I’ve gotten the phone, the battery drops like a rock in a pond, from 10% to 1%…
Have no idea why that happens … Is the .EU ROM likely to solve that?
Hi.
You can use this [simple app](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-adb-appcontrol-1-8-2-ultimate-app-manager-debloat-tool-tweaks.4147837/) to debloat your phone or install EU rom (if your phone has a Snapdragon chip).
Alternatively, you should switch to another brand that doesn’t have bloatware (tell us which).
What region?
You can either complain, or be a wise consumer like the rest of us and do the following:
1. Buy a Xiaomi phone with great spec for cheap
2. Install MIUI EU rom.
Just install Xiaomi EU ROM which is bloatwere free
Use debloater and get a phone for a good price.
(Exclude the 13 Ultra lmao)
Okay you wait for the global rom to be improved. Meanwhile others that can follow a YouTube video and press a few buttons can forget about these problems. And unlocking the bootloader is also needed for rooting your phone if you do wanna tinker with it more.
Amen to that brother, after my Redmi Note 9 will die i am also done with Xiaomi and with smartphones, i will be reverting back to old school phone. This market is getting to stupid and to full of shit to keep on buying smartshit phone and be obligated to change them because the software is being intentionally bloated to bigger and higher RAM and CPU usage, with the user doing nothing on the phone. F\*ck this shit i don’t need this.
no wonder their phone lost value really fast
Unlocking the bootloader > Flashing recovery > Installing a custom ROM (for example, [CherishOS](https://www.pling.com/p/2018450/))
it still there
totally legit advice that can be done by everyone, instead of improving global rom pur only solution is opening bootloader, f installing twrp, done shit job, get black screen and complain here.
I think Xiaomi has a max cap on how much money they can make on hardware so they make it through their software. Just like how a console works.
Mi adb fastboot tool > debloat all crap
Went to Xperia and didn’t look back
I have the same phone. Other than battery draining a bit faster then I expected it’s been great. Use xiaomi.eu rom
Then go uninstall it using adb?
Did you change the region? I noticed some strange apps installed on mine when I tried different regions.
11T Pro
Sad bro, by the way, which phone did you face this problem in?
