It’s actually so annoying. The Mi 9 lite just launched globally less than a month ago and mine hasn’t even arrived in the mail yet, and they announce an updated version already.
The CC9 was released in July, and the Mi 9 Lite was the global version that launched in September.
So that means if the CC9 Pro comes out in November that they’ll have a Global variant out in January.
Kind of annoying to have phones on a 5-6 month release cycle when the global release is delayed by 3 months.

Well that’s kinda issue for all phones in general. I love P30/Pro look and performance, but that awfull tear camera and no jack might turn me off buying, but then again you have S10 with a headphone jack, with even worse solution for the front camera. Well I’ll just go for Iphone then, here’s shitty LCD, 3 years of same design and no jack.
Give Mi 9T Pro (S10 with front camera solution) with wireless charging and good camera software and everyone would buy that phone. Your other 20 products will go unchallenged. This way people can sacrifice something in order to gain something else.

Every advertisment and spec sheet shows that it’s a 48MP camera, but it is just upscaled (poorly by miui app) 12MP camera
There will be a slight bumped variant with big battery, and they’ll call it Mi 9 Lite Plus Pro Max

Technically speaking they’ve already done it, it’s just that their most recent offerings with that capacity have Snapdragon 439s.

I remember ordering a Redmi 7 just 4 weeks ago, then Xiaomi announced the Redmi 8 and I was like “that’s good” and put it in my cart. Then, just as I was comparing the specs between the former and later, I noticed there’s a Note 8. Long story short, I’ve got the Mi 8.

As someone who plans to buy the Mi 9 Lite, I hope they actually make a Mi 9 Lite Pro… lol
It seems like they know it and they are perfectly fine with it.
I wanted Mi mix 3, it was supposed to be most premium flagship from Mi, it was out in November 2019, wait few months for a one to appear where I live, wait few months for prices to go from crazy high to normal, boom, you have Mi 9T, a cheaper, no notch, same display, glass design, better batery and camera for a cheaper price to kill your own flagship series. One thing lacking is wireless charging.

UK and Ireland its Samsung, apple and Huawei that dominates nobody knows what xiaomi is and usually thinks its a *shitty Chinese phone* when they hear its so good for the price.
