I was wondering the same. Haven’t noticed any on my device.
Jesus, sometimes miui pisses me off. Are you facing with this lag issue under direct sunlight? Or bright areas?
I turned off and on the auto colors and the problem hasn’t come back yet!
Man it’s because of recording is 30fps, if my phone runs like in this video, i will blow it up 😂
Disabling it won’t work, you have to disable an specific category inside App vault called “Popular Videos” there’s where the issue comes from and affects the device even if app Vault is disabled
I have my animations at .5x speed and this entire video was painful to watch
No I have the animations to play faster on my phone, it’s in the developer settings.
How do you remove it?

We were able to se frames while going back to home, not smooth.
I get broken animations too. The thing is MIUI is probably the worst ROM of them all. We all bought it because it was cheap with good hardware. Probably the best thing is to install a custom ROM which I probably will do at some point in the future.

Settings > Additional Settings > Accessibility > Turn On Remove Animations.
Ut will take some time to get used to but it feels phpne Whayyyyyy wayyy More Faster.
Bonus it saves ton of battery.
Poco Launcher on K20 is lagging for me.
It’s really annoying, i loved to use auto brightness and auto colors but it is a shame now…

Absolutely I agree with you. I love my phones cam, cpu, and design but ROM is really unstable

Nope, i disabled everything in app vault but it didn’t work… So I find the solution in this way…
First of all, I tried doing everything and I couldn’t find the solution. Then finally I disabled auto contrast/saturation and the problem is disappeared!

It’s true my friend, mi 9t was very smooth before miui 11 update but they f*** it up…
Guys please try to disable auto brightness, they both use the same sensor and maybe the problem is here. I tried this method because of this sh*t happens me under the direct sunlight and it worked for me.

Miui EU 12 on my 9t…no lag
Unfortunately I didn’t. Just waiting, waiting and waiting. I really bored with this issues. Phone was really slowed down with miui 11. I hope Xiaomi will fix that…

In my case the lag disappeared when I turn off and on wifi. It has been driving me nuts the last few weeks because I know my phone is strong enough to not lag like that. I’ll try the app vault thing, maybe it will fix it permanently. Thanks for the tips.

That’s weird because it has worked to everyone on this Subreddit before, You maybe miss something bro, what you did with screen color value isn’t related to animations on any ways specially if you’re using Dark mode.

All seems equal to how it was before, how it has always been. I don’t have parameters to compare to
Tbh it’s all the same to me. And I’m not exactly sure what it is you’re referring to. What sort of animations?
Yes. Auto brightness, and under a bright sunlight will slow the phone a bit, glad I’m not the only one

I also debloated pretty much everything I could but still left app vault because sometimes I find it useful. Hopefully it isnt causing lags tho.

I debloated some MIUI system apps that I don’t ever use, one of them is app vault. It consumed some storage. Glad I removed it.
