It’s really annoying, i loved to use auto brightness and auto colors but it is a shame now…

No I have the animations to play faster on my phone, it’s in the developer settings.

Jesus, sometimes miui pisses me off. Are you facing with this lag issue under direct sunlight? Or bright areas?

I have my animations at .5x speed and this entire video was painful to watch

I get broken animations too. The thing is MIUI is probably the worst ROM of them all. We all bought it because it was cheap with good hardware. Probably the best thing is to install a custom ROM which I probably will do at some point in the future.
Yes. Auto brightness, and under a bright sunlight will slow the phone a bit, glad I’m not the only one

In my case the lag disappeared when I turn off and on wifi. It has been driving me nuts the last few weeks because I know my phone is strong enough to not lag like that. I’ll try the app vault thing, maybe it will fix it permanently. Thanks for the tips.
Disabling it won’t work, you have to disable an specific category inside App vault called “Popular Videos” there’s where the issue comes from and affects the device even if app Vault is disabled
Ugh I hope they’ll fix this lag thing with MIUI 12, when I got my RN8pro it was super smooth but Android 10 update made it shit so I’m hoping they’ll fix it soon
All types of sliding; including in-app stuff, waking up the phone, click animations… I think all animations are broken now

Tbh it’s all the same to me. And I’m not exactly sure what it is you’re referring to. What sort of animations?
Guys please try to disable auto brightness, they both use the same sensor and maybe the problem is here. I tried this method because of this sh*t happens me under the direct sunlight and it worked for me.
App vault solution didn’t work for me but i saw people that solved their problem with disableing it. I don’t know, there is so fu*king much problem with this MIUI version.

First of all, I tried doing everything and I couldn’t find the solution. Then finally I disabled auto contrast/saturation and the problem is disappeared!

All seems equal to how it was before, how it has always been. I don’t have parameters to compare to
I disabled that thing first day i got my redmi phone. Annoying as hell.

I have no lag, but then again i use nova launcher
Settings > Additional Settings > Accessibility > Turn On Remove Animations.
Ut will take some time to get used to but it feels phpne Whayyyyyy wayyy More Faster.
Bonus it saves ton of battery.
I don’t notice any difference though.

Unfortunately I didn’t. Just waiting, waiting and waiting. I really bored with this issues. Phone was really slowed down with miui 11. I hope Xiaomi will fix that…
That’s weird because it has worked to everyone on this Subreddit before, You maybe miss something bro, what you did with screen color value isn’t related to animations on any ways specially if you’re using Dark mode.

I debloated some MIUI system apps that I don’t ever use, one of them is app vault. It consumed some storage. Glad I removed it.
