No doubt it works in terms of protection, it’s what any soft/rubber like case will do for sure, which is why I said it’s for sure better than not having a case. In my opinion magsafe magnet is a must combined with a grip thus my preference and I bet quality feels better with most cases that are not in the low budget category Vs costing a bit more, most reviews I read usually confirm the same.

What’s your experience in terms of dust build up around each individual camera circle Vs the original camera island as one big circle? Is that a bit more noticeable and slightly less convenient to quick wipe (as in wiping 3-4 individual circles then the one big one)?

I have had the same cheap, sub-£5 case on every single smart phone I have owned, Galaxy S8 all the way to Galaxy S23 Ultra, never once smashed the screen, or phone fallen apart.

Scratches won’t be visible on the image unless they are thick and deep. The minimum focal distance won’t allow that with normal scratches. The same way you can take images through bars and netting without the netting being visible

Glass is glass at the end of the day. No matter what fancy name is given. I have lenses with much bigger elements than this phone has without issue. And if I drop it on the camera it’s insured through my bank anyway

Yeah the UK deal 1180£ after discount I liked the most especially with the 7 pad pro I’m enjoying every day (with two chargers) great value!
I bought another bundle from Germany where the kit cost 99€ (85£) but with the bundle 1369€ (1178£) it also included the projector which we also enjoy a lot in our bedroom on 100+ inch movies. 😄

Just hope the individual prices won’t drop to soon too low. 😂 It was definitely worth it.

Yeah I figured the black ones may be more acceptable, but overall it’s a given that mainly women have them, most men use the ring style grips.

The ultra slim profile however is mainly what convinced me not to get a popsocket, one barely feels the height increase across the flat surface Vs the bulky large round popsocket (even if one has a flat surface like my wife does too).
My wife’s mobile lifts off the table with the Xiaomi 15 ultra camera bump being still slightly smaller! 🤗

Btw. For a photographer especially then in those situations I’d just use the photokit case which also has an option even for a leash! (Or maybe thr grip attached to a custom case if it can work safe enough with a custom made hole for the locking mechanism).

Probably depends on how clean of a cut one can make, a small Dremel tool may work very well.

At first I was wondering the visual appeal too, almost disliked and bothered about it on the original photo kit case, but then just forgot about it and don’t really notice it, more occasionally.
What I’m missing is the magsafe for a grip and possibly wireless charging / car holder usage thus will switch cases, and switching back and forth with the original kit bothers me because it’s not easy and good for both mobile and case to do it too frequently, one is less likely to do it often as a result, probably more so for bigger trips/adventures then, thus I think if the grip will have a good fit overall then I’ll try using a dremel or (several) small holes drilled. 🤗

I don’t feel pop sockets are feminine. Mine is jet black and just blends into the phone case. When closed it’s around the same thickness as the camera bump. Maybe a tad larger. I’ll include a picture.

As for the magnets, for me as a photographer, I put my phone in some silly places. So for example, in January I was hanging it over the side of the Arc de Triomphe in January for a picture, and using the pop socket to hold onto. My worry is that I’ll do that with a magnet and it’ll disconnect lol

I wouldn’t be risking my £1300 phone in a £2 case lol. I’m not worried about the camera scratching. It’s very rare for that to happen due to the type of glass used for lenses

I was thinking though one could possibly with the right tool create the hole into the case if it’s tight enough of a fit for the locking mechanism to work, curious but don’t want to be the first to try. 🤗😂

I got really nice cover from nilkin xiaomi 14 though it is not transparent it is shade of blue and can feel made from quality materials.

Nilkin cases also comes without camera cover and nice once too. I personally don’t like those camera covers either.

The back is smokey semi clear. Then it splits to solid near the camera as shown
