I also dislike the status bar thing and SwiftKey is completely messed up. Looking forward to a fix.

maybe it’s the new adaptive notifications feature. I think there are 2 settings for these, one in settings menu and one in adaptive mode. For me Dark Mode is the funniest bug. I see almost all fotos with a white background, in their negative form. It also happens a lot with BW pictures in the newsfeed.. Makes me wonder: Do they see the whole content we consume? (Rhetorical question)

My Redmi Note 8 Pro Global was just fine with dark mode on after updating from MIUI 11 to 12. However my issue began almost 8 months back where I would get texts and notifications about 30 to 1 hour after they were sent to me. Then I get VM notification 30 minutes after but phone never rang. Callers would tell me they heard like 2 or 3 rings then it goes to VM. I am on my sofa and all bars are full for cell and WiFi. If I power off and then on all the notifications flow in but then it will happen again a day or so later. Soooo I factory reset. Installed just a few apps. Now dark mode is a problem like all others are experiencing when it did not before after upgrading from MIUI 11 to 12. Had to turn off so many apps and others I cannot. I turned off SnapChat since colors looked weird but now when on it the status bar will just disappear after a few seconds. I assume it is going dark and cannot see it since I have the 2nd option on for notch setting: Hide without moving status bar. When not in Dark Mode SnapChat is fine. Have to set it to show notch to see the status bar in SnapChat and it does go black. I hate Da Notch.

I have it before. It worked fine. All setting are correct. I get notifications for calling. Spotify when i stop the song(i tried if that would work out) but other apss like communicator, even my banking app. Not working
Still only 3 icons in status bar and all app permissions need to be restored. 🙄

Disabling MIUI optimization in developer options removes this restriction. Already have done it in my BS2.

Xiaomi sells hundreds of millions of phones every year and you think a niche subreddit is indicative of user experience and sentiment.
I don’t even bother charging my F2 at night anymore. I just plug it in for a while when I wake up. Battery life is crazy good and can last into the next evening with normal use from a full charge.
My YouTube notifications no longer have the option to watch later or stop updates etc. Just either click on the notification to watch or swipe to ignore.
MIUI has an ability to force third party apps to become dark when dark mode is turned on. It changes the colours etc. And that’s what you saw when you opened discord. You are able to enable / disable the option in settings. To do it search for dark mode, next scroll down to individual apps. After opening, all your apps should be listed and that’s where you can enable / disable the option for each app.
Disable all power saving for Mi Fit.
Most of that bugs happens to me too with redmi note 9s miui11

Overall MIUI 12 has been kind of shit for me so far.
Also game mode stops working randomly and can only fix it by restarting the phone
Twitter inverts profile pics for me and Boost for Reddit is fked up if someone’s quoted (both are easy to fix though)

dim screenshots can be fixed by going to dark mode settings and switching off “adjust contrast automatically”
Also add constantly crashing wifi and occasional stutters. I love the MIUI 12 design, but it’s full of bugs and imperfections
I got the same phone, also same rom, but i dont experience
* Bad German translation (finde da nichts außergewöhnlich falsches)
* Status bar (always white, i got darkmode on)
* Battery drain
* Updater for system apps is white (absolutely dark)
* Phone locks itself when I’m listening to WhatsApp memos (tried long ones, doesnt happen for me)
* Home screen animations are gone when I reboot the phone (you got the saturn there, my mars one never disappears)

Here happens the same problem, in Mi 8 with MIUI 11 global stable version.
Is it just me or do the notifications stay in the shade until I restart the phone? Most common with Whatsapp and phone calls. Even after I end the call, the notification shade still shows that I’m in line.
Only possible fix for me was to restart my phone. Using Redmi K20 Pro MiUi 12.

And I literally just told you why I don’t recommend it, Why are you so offended? All of what I said has no harm intended. You’re being so offended for nothing… And I clarified also that it maybe fixes the issue but at the cost of your wallpaper looking soo dark.
(Highlight maybe cause clearly it didn’t work on people considering the first comment I saw was exactly that and I have yet to see a comment saying it does)
Anyways, All im trying to say is that maybe you should put a warning about what it does before you recommend it to people cause they might end up experiencing the same thing I did..

that just makes your wallpaper dimmer or darker than usual. Learned this when I updated and questioned why tf is my wallpaper so dark (It was on by default when you update to miui 12) After like weeks I just saw this option while checking dark mode settings and finally turned it off. Thank God for that…

nice..i chose easy mind with funtion rather then cosmetic..its not like when update to mui12 can gain extra 12hours battery life or make that mid range price device works like ROG phone…its just make it “pretty” by having superwallpaper and changing some design..thats all.
Darkmode in MIUI 12 seems a bit broken. It completely messes up the Discord app, good thing you can turn it off for certain apps. SwiftKey keyboard doesn’t handle Darkmode great either and I couldn’t find a fix for that one so I just disabled Darkmode completely.
Yeah I don’t get this too. So many daily posts bout miui 12 having lots of bugs (on different phones) and people are still rushing to update? Sticking with my miui 11 for now.
and still lots of people whinning about not getting mui12..after they got it..they ranting like child even tho lot of post in here already show mui12 still not stable with lot of bug..i confuse.
