Are you sure this won’t put the phone in bootloop? As far as I’ve researched, it does.

Hey man, any other stuff like this that you know of? The Screenshot Dialogue can’t be disabled anymore since the AOSP version seems to have been removed. I was wondering if there’s a way to get the AOSP Notification Panel through a similar method?

    Which device?
Some devices won’t receive Android 12, so if your device is one of them, you can consider unlocking and using a custom ROM.

The larger one is YouTube Music’s “Recently Played”, and the small one is “Conversation” widget. You need Android 12 to get these.

Great find! I’m wondering if there are more system apps that can be disabled so we can experience more of a vanilla Android without changing rom. I really like MIUI though.

EDIT: Just tried it on android 11. I can already see it’s more responsive than the custom MIUI slider. The bad thing is that android 11’s slider is uglier in comparison to MIUI 12.5, so it’s not a win move to disable it. Also, haptic feedback is gone when adjusting volume.

Oh yes… in that regards I want Stock Notifications back. MIUI just brings you to the general notifications of that app.

But there is a workaround. Android has Notification Log built-in. It’s not directly accessible, you have to download “Activity Launcher” from Play Store, and search for “Notification Log” and open that activity directly.

You can also do a Homescreen Shortcut to the Notification Log. That’s what I’ve done.

This is how I figure out which Channel a Notification corresponds to.

Is there a way I can do for notifications?

Current MIUI notification does not tell which channel it is in the notification. So that I can turn off that particular channel.

For example I want to turn off promotions but keep ride details channel

It does, but it will play the sound when you adjust the ring&alarm volume, so I didn’t recommended to enable this, it’s just a cool thing.

For me, it’s not bad but I can’t say it’s good. It’s just… MIUI’s one is great because it got a DND and silent mode timer, and that’s useful for me.

MIUI design is one of the reasons I’m not switching to vanilla Android. I find stock Android appearance very ugly.

Moved to AOSP Android 12 based rom and I really don’t like the volume slider. This is a huge disappointment to me because I don’t use volume buttons, even I’ve set a gesture through FNG to get the volume slider. But AOSP volume slider is a downgrade from MIUI volume slider.

Anyway, cool trick. Sorry for my little rant

Yes, but with Android 12 (also works on Android 11 but it looks ugly). What I did is type “adb shell pm disable-user –user 0 miui.systemui.plugin” in the command prompt with the adb tool, after that the systemui-plugin will be disabled, and the AOSP style will be available. If you want to get the MIUI one back, type “adb shell pm enable miui.systemui.plugin” .
