Tbh xiaomi has really built a very good brand around providing ‘value for money’ and I’v seen many people recommending mi devices to other friends or buying another mi device just because they had a great experience.
Even in Canada where they don’t officially sell I’ve bought 6 phones from them for me and my friends
This is so true, after getting my mi4 nearly 4 years ago (and it’s the phone I still use) I’ve converted so many people it’s crazy. 6 of my friends have bought several Xiaomi phones and then they have recommended to other people lol. I think that if they never get too greedy they will dominate the market in the years to come.
It has price ranges for anyone. Want a cheap phone but you wanna be sure it runs smoothly, order up! Do you want a phone with flagship specs that’s missing a couple gimmicks at half the price of everybody else? You got it! Do you want a really cool phone and you can afford? We got that too!
Honestly it’s only competition is Samsung that for some reason you can find some very good phones for a very reasonable price sometimes. Their prices just drop like crazy sometimes.
I’m picturing you handing phones out as party favours!
Hello Friend
Where’s the best place to get a Xiaomi phone in the United States? Amazon?
With Xiaomi’s strong rise, consumers have begun to realize the fact that a highly configurable phone is not synonymous with expensive prices. And almost any time products that are considered too expensive will cause the manufacturer to go bankrupt
Import it from aliexpress
Xiaomi has spread like a wildfire in Turkey too, through word of mouth and forum recommendations.
People created communities for bringing models from China as soon as they hit the market. Seeing the attention, Xiaomi has opened a store recently, but people still buy from internet.
Because you get so much for what you pay for, I will always recommend Xiaomi as a budget option with premium features. As long as they keep improving their software. MIUI is beautiful.
Amazon has official xiaomi phones now.
I have bought a couple A2 lite from the seller Never MSRP on Ebay. Both new and sealed global versions of the phone.
Now if they could only add LTE bands 66 and 71 for the North American market.
Yes I know it will increase the price of these phones.
Now if they could only make global versions available quicker
Since 2014 when I started using MI 3, I personally had converted 26 Samsung users to shift to Xiaomi!! And in overall the number is over 50+
I really wish websites wouldn’t overlay both the cookies banner and the video over the article when you scroll. It’s so unnecessary.
until people learn about the ads and telemetry. xiaomi phones themselves are great, but not what’s running on them. apple will always win in this regard no matter what.
Hey you’re the guy that OP is talking about! Talk about juicing beetles!
*Sent from my Mi Mix 2*
lol gearworst, should be bangbad then
I always flash my phones so no problems there
Xiaomi’s hardware with a custom rom is a killer combination
Xiaomi should be paying me for promoting their devices to over a hundred people.
Never seen an ad personally, and tbh I’d probably chose that over a restricted os like iOS regardless
Xiaomi is pretty amazing because their devices appeal to people who want a cheap phone. But also to the power users like myself who want to switch to custom roms.
Xiaomi showed that is possible to buy a great stuff for so low prices and make people happy..
I think that’s because EVOPHONE owns that store. I got my phones from Migros and Aliexpress. No way I’m gonna pay for evo. They have the shittiest warranty ever.
I prefer the term Gearpest, fits nicely as well.
For one, if I can pay less for a phone because it comes with bloatware and ads, I’ll do that and deal with that. Don’t ever think Western companies are not spying on your ass. As if Apple isn’t doing the same shit some way with their consumers. How much can we trust Americans with their NSA scandal? I don’t want to get political, but please don’t act like China is the only bad evil spy.
Yep, I’d agree with this. I started on a Redmi Note 4 as I wanted a cheap phone, was impressed with it for the price so moved onto the Note 5 Global, gave the Note 4 to my Mum who loves it. I was even more impressed by the Note 5 and now the boy wants a replacement phone so I’m getting the Mi 8 and giving him my Note 5.
Through word of mouth at work, three other people have bought Xiaomi phones off the back of my purchases. My Mum will get another Xiaomi when her Note 4 dies.
Bought my Mix 2s from Amazon. 2 day shipping, returns and able to use some built up points and gift cards FTW.
Price is a little higher, but worth it for the peace of mind.
It’s easy to see why, they offer insane value per money spent on comparation to other companies, in my opinion in the sub 350/400€ Xiaomi as the best phones starting as low as 75€±.
I have had 3 different Xiaomi devices, and I recommend them to my families and friends, I think I have influenced more than 10 people to get a Xiaomi, and they all are super satisfied.
And this satisfaction translates in the purchase of other Xiaomi products, mainly the mi band 2/3.
This is why I might consider Redmi phone as my next phone – specs are decent, it’s pretty cheap. Only downside is bootloader lock, but I can wait those 30 days and install LOS on it I guess.
Xiaomi is also doing great in Kenya. They’re here officially. They’ve launched a few devices among them the mi 8. Bought a Note 5,and influenced three friends so far to get Xiaomis too. Bought a Redmi 6 today for my mom.
Love it, predicted it
After all, because of me 7 people use Xiaomi phones today and are realllyy satisfied!!
Isn’t 71 that better LTE band? Cause it keeps showing me LTE+ on my Mi Mix 3, maybe it has it?
Where do u buy them I’m considering buying one off gearbest or aliexpress
Band 71 will be more important in the future especially inside buildings from what I’ve read.
I don’t think any Xiaomi device has Band 71.
Maybe instead of adding 10+ gigs of ram, they would consider adding more LTE bands.
Hello friend of a friend!
I’ve bought four Xiaomi phones to cover my wife, myself and my kids. Value for money!
Even I had mi4 for almost 4 years, what an amazing phone. And yes, like you, converted many people it’s crazy.
It’s where I purchased my Mi Band 3 from.
Both are good options I think. But I prefer the safe route and wait for them to pop up on Amazon. By the time they hit Amazon here they already have a good price
damb. smartphone competitions are getting bigger
I have to say that I did the same opposite thing. The Mi8 is horrible and I’m trying to make my friends stay away from xiaomi mobiles
It’s actually the redmi series who made the difference in the budget phones shelf. Mi devices were good top devices in mid-range price lineup
The purifier is really neat!
There are also wiki leaks and Snowden has access to your phone calls, location, social media, etc.
It is a problem of buying a smartphone, but not of buying a Chinese smartphone. There’s even the Mi A series that has pure Android
This.
What did u get after the mi4?
Redmi note 5 pro 🙂
True
What do you mean?
