How do I make a device tree on a mediatek device?

Hello, I currently have the Xiaomi 13T and would like to make a device tree to make custom recoverys (not already existing ones) but all guides I could find used recovery.img which is not used anymore, anyone has an updated guide or can guide me thru it?
