how do you do that? is it some new windows function?
It’s not laggy if the windows os is arm64-based. It’s mobile compatible.
What about laptops then? Should we not use laptops because computers are meant to be used at a desk and never leave a desk?
There is also a list of supported devices in the website bro.
Is it made with project renegade ?
is there any advantages of doing this
Windows is not really designed to run on UFS storage. It’s hell a lot laggy, worse than mechanical hard drier
anyone know how to install it to my xiaomi redmi note 9 ? i want to install windows 11 to my phone i want to experience it
Cool, how do you connect the Keyboard?
Not really but even old Samsung’s phones have that option so I imagine some Xiaomi could have it. But yeah, no clue if they have it or not.
Dm bro
It’s renegade project bro. Windows 11 port to smartphone.
Sent : )
Same apps don’t run the same way in android and windows. That’s the main reason I pushed for this port. The windows phone before is not like this, because the windows os was mobile version. Meanwhile, this port is arm64-based, thus it is not the same with the windows phone before.
Direct installation or Remote Desktop?
The android version doesnt matter bro. What matters is the compatibility of the chipset. You can check the supported devices in the renegade project website.
Oh. Didn’t know that. That is unfortunate.
Unfortunately most xiaomi’s phones can’t connect to a monitor through usb-c
Wait WHAT. How do you get this to work, like yes there is windows for arm, but where do you get the drivers
thanks, what phones does it work with?
Remote desktop. Using cmd.
Yeah. There are upsides and downsides. Whether it’s worth it or not would depend on how you will use it.
You can breakdown the link by adding parenthesis where ever the “.” comes. Just a dumb workaround if you can’t send links via dm to multiple people
Yeah bruh.
I mean normal sim duh (poco didn’t have any esim options at all)
Renegade Project?
Dm bro
How’s the performance? It would be cool as an indie games machine or something
The real question
Unfortunately, camera function is not yet supported. Calls is possible in dual boot.
Its a video of windows being played on the phone. It’s not actually installed on the phone
yes. the xiaomi 13 ultra already has a brandspanking new usb-c 3.1 port that should easily be capable of it
Gimme link
I’ve seen a performance video on geekerwan, can you tell me about the connectivity stuffs (Bluetooth, wifi, mobile network, etc.)???
Thanks. That’s helpful.
Does touchscreen work on your device
thanks 🙂
Yes sir.
Me too please)
how do you do it? planning to do it on my xiaomi pad 5
Wow….does it work better than it does with Android. I got a Redmi note 9 4G, it worked ok with 11 and 12 versions of Android, but it s\*\*\*s a\*s with 13, app’s crash with no reason, display goes on and off when talking to the phone, it sucks so much i want to crack it’s screen open and get something else.
Most? Do you know ANY that can do it?
I searched the specs and didn’t find such model. I’m curious if you know something.
I want to know too pls
Nice suggestion. Thanks: )
I see. I don’t think emulation will work bro. You have to install the windows os and drivers using cmd in a computer.
Depends on how you look at it : )
Try to install laze soft using android without windows
You can check the renegade project website to see if your device is supported by the port: )
I have my Redmi note 7 just sitting and collecting dust, my do this, could be useful.
anyone know how to install it to my xiaomi redmi note 9 ? i want to install windows 11 to my phone i want to experience it
You can check the devices supported in the renegade project website bro.
It only works on specific chip sets, one of them is the one in the POCO phone F1
Well alright…
Yup. You got a smartphone with the basic functionalities of a laptop/desktop computer. Advantage? One is, it fits in your pocket : )
Dm sent bro.
Thank you
Pls check out Renegade Project
Still remember the trailer for the pocophone f1. Xiaomi’s good days….
I have been thinking of trying it out, but I don’t have a smartphone to spare and I can’t afford another one if I fuck up something.
which knowing myself is probably the right call not to do it. I’m even surprised I didn’t brick my phone while installing xiaomi.eu rom
BTW it’s really nice to see this working properly. I heard that win 11 supports ARM architecture and saw some early ports for phone like… Almost since win 11 came out I think.
Supported devices @ https://imgur.com/gallery/q7lJCC1
Yup. It was included when I installed adobe acrobat.
Bro can i install it on redmi note 10 pro?
Yes. Everthing you need is in the website. Check supported device first.
Can you run games on it like fallout New Vegas and Skyrim I’ve been very interested in seeing how these things work
dm me too how to do it thanks
I didn’t used the renegade project way I used emulation
Haha. Welcome bro. Yeah, new use-cases from this port.
Yea emulation is much more time consuming and alot slower
It can also run on tablets with big screen. You can use that on top of the desk
Bluetooth and wifi works well. Haven’t tried cellular data yet as dont have eSim.
Gaming works to a certain extent. But graphics demanding games crash. Not sure with xiaomi pad 5 tho coz i saw some youtube vids playing dota 2 in that device.
I mean, regular android already can replace 99% of functionality of a desktop computer, there’s already an app for everything. Running windows on phone is cool, but at beat it’s going to cripple windows apps, since most windows apps aren’t defined to run on phone cpus, and it’s definitely not an easy setup.
There’s a reason Windows phones died a decade ago and nobody tried to revive them, even considering that OS was native to phones.
The comment section has more Bros than in Avatar 2
Is the camera functioning , can you make calls ?
Sure bro.
That’s why i said virtually, not exactly the same thing XD
Emulation will just give you the interface bro. I dont think it will change the system of your device.
Bruh mechanical hhd maximum speed is 150~250mbps mean while UFS is 300 ~ 500 mbps
You can connect usb mouse and keyboard using a usb hub. Or if you want less bulk, use a bluetooth keyboard with touchpad. Virtually the same thing: )
I tried with limbo it never booted maybe a day after it may have booted but I stopped it and guessed it didn’t work
Emulating oses is a pain in the ass I spared hours to find the wind 10 rom to put it in limbo to work
Hours spent
Work not worth it
Did you follow the instructions in the renegade project website bro?
Why is this downvoted? lol. If I try to post the link in the comment, it does not appear.
Sent: )
That’s what i mean. My device doesn’t have esim. And the windows version installed in my phone only supports esim for cellular data. Regular sim cards are not read. Hence, I was not able to test if cellular data is supported by the port.
A friend of mine dropped his Poco F1 in the toilet. I can’t test Windows 11 on it sadly🥲
Run yuzu on this and play Zelda
Just search renegade project bro. All the instructions are in the website.
Can you plz tell me where did you get the drivers from?
I have everything installed but the touch screen isn’t working 🙁
i’m late, can u dm pls tho
Sorry what? XD
How he did it
Dm me too thx
Can Redmi Note 12 4g do that?
Since it has the same SoC as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s would that also work? I have one lying around.
Yes bro.
Cant send dm. You can just search “renegade project” on browser. All instructions and supported devices are in the website: )
Just make sure that you flash the correct and official img and zip files in order to minimize bricking.
You need to check the version of your LCD panel bro
That’s sad bro. It’s a good device. Poco f1 has the best community.
Yup. Poco f1 has a good community of modders.
Sounds to me like a solution looking for a problem
Sure: )
My whole life has been about running away from Windows, and now this. /s
Always good to have more options. Thanks!
