I live in the US and currently have the OnePlus 12. It’s been a great phone, but I’m ready for an upgrade. The OnePlus 13 wasn’t enough of an upgrade over the 12 to justify getting it, and it looks like the Pixel 10 Pro XL is going to be a bit lackluster going by the recent leaks.
I’ve been following both of Vivo and Xiaomi for a little while now, and I’m really interested in getting the 15 ultra. It looks like the global version supports the exact same bands as my OnePlus 12, so T-Mobile should work flawlessly. The camera naturally is going to be a huge upgrade, but I’m curious about the rest of it.
For those of you that have gone from the OnePlus 12 to the 15 ultra, how has your experience been as far as OS, battery life, and overall performance? Do you regret switching at all?
i’m a nerd that tests many phones
Me. Had my Oneplus 12 for a year fancied an Ultra phone as I’ve never had one. Everything has been absolutely fantastic from the camera’s to the performance. Hyper OS has been great for me personally I know it gets alot of hate but I quite like it.
The battery performance isn’t as good however as the Oneplus but it’s not terrible either by any means, it does have fast charging so it’s not really a big deal.
I did Oppo Find x8 pro (basically a OnePlus 13) to 15u and would consider it an upgrade. Better cameras, speakers and build quality.
I gone from OnePlus 12 to Vivo x100 Ultra to OPPO Find X8 Pro and finally Xiaomi 15 Ultra. OPPO mediatek chip feels as snappy as 15 ultra. As for OP 12 the battery gave me 6-7 hrs SOT and 15 Ultra 5-6 hrs SOT with tweaks. Both OS felt stable, I miss the AOD features with colorOS, Hyperos is rich with features and in my experience both OS updates monthly. I don’t regret switching.
i have OnePlus 13, S25 Ultra, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra (and several others). It is a great phone, and my favorite of these. Works perfectly fine on T-Mobile. The OS is a bit different but not huge. There are a few bloat apps, but not many. I think you’d enjoy it.
No, no I was not refering to you! I was talking in general. Like, I hear a lot of talk about bloat apps being preinstalled and how it is a decisive purchase factor.
Its so funny when people complain about the bloat apps. It took me like 30 seconds to delete what I could and sort the rest into a folder and disable them lol
I really like the phone too. In the first week I was skeptical and a bit fustrated about the OS (coming from 5 years of OneUI), but it grew on me so much that I prefer it over over the OneUI6 on my tab S8.
How long can you shoot 4k 120fps on 15 ultra? How is SOT?
Why do you have so many phones?
no complaint, just a comment. I’ve had phones with much more junk installed.
