I’ve only had it for a couple days, but so far I am happy with both.
I am not certain. I can test if you recommend an app.
what
How do you like it and was it in English? If not, how difficult was it to change to English?
Aliexpress and seller HK Goldway got my Mi Mix 2s with a day delay (damnit DHL) in a week. That’s 7 days from Hong Kong to Seattle. The day delay was from me changing the delivery address to a DHL service location.
Try debloating, best decision I took in a Xiaomi device
Wasn’t there official Xiaomi update that lets you choose English?
Display tester should work, touch pressure test in the basics
After installing the app on my phone it immediately updated firmware and changed to english, I didn’t have to do anything.
For the band itself, I really like it. I’ve never had a vivo band or other activity tracker, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I like it. You can choose apps to show notifications. You can have it do constant HR monitoring if your exercising and intermittent all the time. The screen is small, but enough for a clock and to see an sms that comes thru. It’s capcaitive and has a small dimple on the lower area that acts as a button.
The app is quite robust and impressed me, it can show a lot of different stats.
For ~$30, it’s a no brainier to me.
I’m not sure but the paperwork just says ANDROID PHONE so maybe no customs? Check the HK Goldway store to be sure.
Do you know if the touch screen is pressure sensitive? Does it support styluses? I’m wondering if I could get one of these to work like an iPad pro with a stylus accessory, but the pressure sensitivity would be a must.
You do have to get the Play Store installed on it, but it’s really simple. A trained monkey could do it. You just download the apk that is [here](http://en.miui.com/thread-3099132-1-1.html) and run through the steps.
How long did it take for you to get it?
It actually only took about 5 or 6 days. They shipped it DSL. I’m on the US east coast BTW.
No screen protector for me. Running that shit raw dog. Both the glass and film were available though.
Some apps are designed for tablets. The only one that comes to my mind right now is the pokemon trading card online game,it doesn’t have the possibility of being installed on a regular smartphone (through the play store I mean, ofc you can use APKs)
does nba 2k18 and clash of clans working?
Bought a redmi note 5 from them a couple days ago, hoping all goes well with the shipping, I’ve heard they’re reliable though
how’s the performance and battery life?
What were the duties/custom fees like (if any)?
Annoying ads?
Does it support Quick Charge 2.0/3.0?
Thanks! Congrats on the new mipad!
Cool, thanks for the reply!
Not bad specs at all.
Hi I’m in the US and want to order the mi pad 4, did you have to pay customs for your mi mix 2s with DHL?
does it come with accessories?
Congrats!
did you put any screen protector? is it tg or film?
they do. look at the wiki.
How’s the app compatibility for tablet?
I’ve bought from goldway! I’m in EU so not sure if it will take more or less time than to the US? But I’ve heard good things, it’s just that I’ve had a bad experience with ordering a Xiaomi from Geekbuying and it ended up taking several months to get a working phone
Nope. A charger and cable, but that’s it. I did order a case separately, i think it was $8.
That must be a new thing? I remember on my mi max 1 having various Google play installer apps in the mi app store or whatever the app store was that come with the non-global rom
Sexy looking
couldnt u just install the google installer from mi app store?
Did the bootloader come unlocked?
Which seller?
I got a mi band 3 from Singapore to East coast us in 10 days. I was impressed, that’s a small package, but still.
AFAIK it’s not Xiaomi that doesn’t want you to use the Google Playstore, but Google’s services are all banned in China, so no Chinese device with Chinese ROM comes with the Playstore or any Google app.
So it looks like it does, but I doubt it’s as dynamic as an iPad pro. [Screenshot](https://imgur.com/a/ljQwObz)
Nope. Most of the pre-installed Chinese stuff can be uninstalled. There’s a few you can’t, like the mi app store, but you can just disable them.
No ads. It’s a pretty clean android build as far as I can tell.
Good to know as I’m planning to buy this device also. Ty
I saw some tutorials mentioning Google installers but couldn’t find any when searching. So yeah, must be a new thing.
I’d wait to see if it interesteds r/lineageos
Aliexpress sellers are generally good with shipping. It just takes a while if you’re in North America. You also have seller protection so if it arrives damaged, you can get a refund.
If you can root, search for skinny miui
Hii looking to order one also, I’m also on the east coast. So did you get the Chinese version? Also does it support OTA updates and have you had any updates? I’m kinda confused if I should get the global rom or Chinese rom version
Not sure what you mean, but in general there are no apps specifically designed for android tablets. They’re just the standard android apps, which all work fine on Mi Pads.
Looks gorgeous.
