Most likely yes, Xiaomi.eu roms are based on the China dev and stable roms with their own improvements so sooner or later it will get the Xiaomi.eu rom.
If it’s China only would it have an EU rom?
Its co-ingeneered with Leica, meaning that they helped with the design of the lens array and the color grading from my understanding.
nonono, the partnership with leica is not related to the camera design, the cooperation with Leica just plus a “Leica” mark on the camera lens
Does it have ir blaster?
It will not have a global version, unfortunately
While I don’t know what kind of compression it would have, same critics for apple phone applies, low bandwidth when downloading media recorded with the phone plus no video out which I would also like if that cpu is as powerful as advertised.
Not saying usb 3.2 but at least 3.0 would be a good improvement, **almost** every other brand has moved on from 2.0 but not xiaomi. I own a poco and was considering moving to a flagship class and was waiting for this specifically, I reckon others might not feel the same.
I cannot find it, do I need a chinese vpn? every other page I saw was reporting usb 2.0
I need to know how is the speaker quality compared to the iphone 13 pro max. I’m done have these apple fans mocking me
Where did you see that? In the xiaomi official page it says 3.1
Never used a phone warranty my entire life and dont know anybody who did. (And no, warranty does not cover you damaging the phone as some people apparently believe)
Although once I bought a phone from china which arrived with defective buttons and the shop refunded it after sending it back.
Not having a 4g in 3/4 the areas in germany would be an issue though.
Well, guess another year of disappointment… Wanted to upgrade last year, but s888 was a mess. Then this year 8G1 was a mess. Now 8G1+ is decent, but there are no interesting phones released with it.
I better be able to see into people’s souls with that camera
Oh, that big fatty camera island looks very chunking to me!
That’s fair, I’m just glad TSMC has ‘some’ competition, unlike Intel and the likes.
They’re not quite out yet, but they’re on preorder in china at least
I just got lucky when I checked out a store right after the launch event bc a clerk just pulled out the phones from the back after the event ended
What use case would benefit from a USB 3.2?
Wow really, are they out already?
i’m just so dissapointed is still using usb 2.0
that’s a dealbreaker for me on a phone with such camera
Well, if thats true, it will just go on show TSMC’s superiority. I really hope Qualcomm learns from their mistakes & places 8 Gen 2 orders with TSMC else 8+ Gen 1 will be the new 870.
And yes, in the meantime, Samsung should work on improving their quality and performance. I mean, just Google the difference between the yields of Samsung and TSMC. There’s a significant difference in almost every step.
Hopefully Samsung will figure it out, according to reviews on YouTube, the 8+ gen 1 is said to run cooler.
Well, that may be true, Samsung’s processors always seem to manage be less efficient or overheat. Snapdragon 870 was the last flagship TSMC made, & it’s runs cooler than 888 & 8 Gen-1, doesn’t throttle & doesn’t heat as much.
And these problems are nothing new. Exynos processors were infamous for the same. Case in point, Samsung’s Galaxy S with Snapdragon series sold in North America always outperformed the Exynos variant sold in Europe and Asia.
888 & 8 Gen-1 were made by Samsung and are plagued with similar complains. That’s not the case for 870, & hopefully will not be a case with 8+ Gen 1.
Tbf they’ve been one upping TSMC, 3nm is quite the feat by them.
The real downside would be no warranty for a €1000 phone
If it ain’t broke don.t fix it. The jack was and still is a reliable good tech. Eliminating it was just a money scheme from apple not an actual tech progress. I have wireless earbuds. But they will never be as reliable as normal wired earbuds
Oh god… It’s… Beautiful 😍
You must be still living in 2018 or 2019, most flagships nowadays don’t have a headphone jack, thanks apple. If you need it your best bet is a mid or low range phone that still has it, otherwise just get USB C earphones, adapter or go fully wireless with how many options there are nowadays.
You can buy it, just import it from an EU Store like tradingshenzen and put the Xiaomi.EU rom on it, you should still get the EU warranty and support that’s what I will be doing.
The only downside would be if you really need the b20 for your carrier.
No jack is a deal breaker. Ty for the info
Yes. Quality better but color is a bit worse I would say. Yes. No. No. Really good. 4860mah.
Well they have a partnership with Leica just like Huawei that’s probably why
8+
[Comparing the 12 Pro to the 12S Pro, they have the same throttling](https://i.imgur.com/cbzsOo3.jpg)
[And the same shitty battery life](https://i.imgur.com/f91gnnf.jpg)
So both 12s Ultra and 12s Pro have 8+ Gen 1? What about 12S?
Xiaomi 12S Ultra Plus New Edition comes soon, isn’t it?
8+
Which processor does 12S Pro have? Is it 8+ Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000/9000+?
I’m really not sure. We ran some benchmarks and they stayed at a constant 50 c but the ultra’s performance seemed to be artificially limited as the non ultra 12s managed to overtake it. The phones get quite hot around the edges, but at least the cpu isn’t boiling. Take the results with a grain of salt bc they’re all on prerelease software, but it’s kinda concerning
They let us run an antutu benchmark on both the 12s and the 12s ultra and they lost 6 and 7 percent respectively. The sustained temperature was around 50 degrees on both phones and they both felt quite warm to the touch.
The non ultra variant ended up beating the ultra one which was weird. Not sure if throttling was occurring bc temperatures were pretty stable.
Not bad. Kinda impressive ngl. But ig that’s TSMC for you. Qualcomm should never have chosen Samsung for manufacturing of 888 or 8 Gen-1.
very ugly. saw the preview and it’s filled w marketing gimmicks
It’s a poor translation. I’m assuming the original Chinese was 中国大陆, which would be much better translated as ‘Mainland China’. This term is very common and is used to explicitly exclude Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
I translated directly from french
Is the word “continental” necessary here because tawian ?
Any info on throttling?
This is the first time in 6 years that I’m fully convinced about a new phone (despite the prohibitive price) and I can’t buy it.
Fuck it.
Ia the camera OIS? How does it compare to older cameras? Is the screen AMOLED? Does it have radio? Does it have a jack? How is the speaker? What capacity is the battery?
Official statement is “The products launched in this live will ve sold in Continental China only”
13.3h For the ultra in TikTok viewing vs 13.8h iPhone 13 pro Max.
Max out Genshin Impact, 30 min session 45-46 °C sustained at 59.7 Fps average
How many chances of this being officially released in EU?
Is it too early ask about the battery life? And also what throttling & overheating issues? 12 Pro was infamous for both.
I do like the design
three different bezel sizes …
That’s a portable stove.
Absolutely imagine gaming in that
Kinda ugly in my opinion
Looks like a digital camera
the camera module reminds me of huawei mate 40
now that’s a chonker
