Cheap
Well you got your answer there. Buy cheap components, get cheap results
Yes about 5-6 months ago,but the ghost touches started happening about a month or 2 ago..
You can’t fix a hardware problem with software
This is giving me anxiety
Just let it dry, it took a week for it to get normal again.
Does this happen the same way when charging the phone? Maybe the screen cable is not plugged properly? I’m not a pro but had a similar issue when charging a redmi 3 some years ago and people said it was problems with grounding.
Official screen or cheap screen
I had ghost touches before replacing my MIUI with a custom rom… But just one or two ghost touches, nothing like that, you have the whole enemy roster of ghostbusters inside that phone 👻
Which recorder ?
This has been happening on my poco F1. I didn’t know what it’s called so I couldn’t look for a solution.
Did water get in your phone?
Did your screen die yet? Had this happen on my Mi 9T. Started with a dead area, then random taps and in a few hours the screen let out a flash and never showed again. I have a suspicion that water might have gotten in but idk
How did you fix it?
**It’s a feature**
Try using a different outlet. Most extension outlet have a better ground than wall outlet
Are you using while charging?
It’s the new focus mode: it makes the smartphone unusable so that you can focus on what really matters
Tell the ghost to stop touching your phone.
I can’t stop laugh
On mi old Xiaomi mi2 I had this problem whenever there was high relative humidity. I’d always have to wipe the display and my hands and then it would work for a bit.
It was “fixed” for me by applying a screen protector.
I don’t see the problem. I just see you going haywire with your poor screen…
Mi a2 lite here, I know it could sound idiot but if you are using a cover, try to remove it!
I got ghost touches which are not comparable to yours probably for a faulty cover that squeezed way much the phone. Mine was made in an relatively hard plastic, and I noticed that after a couple of hours the phone got progressively worst off.
scary
Seems to be a hardware issue. I doubt the is a fix that doesn’t involve replacing the bit that’s broken.
Imagine that number of ghosts behind OP pressing the phone at the same time… laughing.
Have you tried factory reset? 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Your new touchscreen may have been either installed poorly or it just broke
Not that im aware,no
Same thing happens with my iPad air.
Exorcism for the ghost that’s tapping on your phone!
I had the exact same problem in my redmi note 4 about 6 months ago. From my research it came out that it was not a screen problem but a battery one. Anyway, I didn’t looked into it more, I replaced the phone.
So the touchscreen is busted. I have had that problem before and replacing hte touch screen fixed it.
for me it started with a dead area… which was in the middle of the screen… then it started just a few presses here and there… then it just became a little bit once a week….then every day.
touch screen is dead…. you will need a new one. it is not software.
Could be that the screen ribbon cable isn’t seated correctly. Reseating it might fix it.
Yeah, that’s a pisser. A decent quality LCD shouldn’t be too expensive. Though it could be a simple connection issue (screen to mainboard), so a screen replacement might not be necessary.
Oh.. a person i know of said that there is no fix for this, and that the lcd panel is dying, and that the only fix is to replace it entirely. But i have a feeling he just wants busieness because he works as a phone serviceman.. i feel like there has to be something to fix it.
Did you try acoustic maintenance?
My phone did something similar when the water got in but if that case didn’t happen with you, then I have no idea.
I had a similar problem with a redmi note 3. The problem disappeared when i removed the screen protection glass. I guess some humidity got between the protector and the screen.
Did you try to Google this issue? If other people on the internet are saying something similar maybe it is the panel issue. If you can’t find exactly in case of Xiaomi I think maybe other brand with similar problem might have the same solution. By the way I’m no expert just playing the guessing game.
