Getting juuuust a little ridiculous, don’t you think?

625’s successor, the 630, came out ages ago.
We’re complaining that we keep getting constant, unnecessary phones with it.
They could just produce the same thing for longer, lower the price on it as time goes by and support it for longer instead of churning out garbage.
The surge S1 is their sd625 competitor
It’s power saving
Powerful enough
Proven
Why not?
That’s interesting actually, I’ve only seen P60 in Oppo phone reviews, haven’t looked into the Z2 Pro, I’ll check that out.
but the P60 has been out for a while now and there doesn’t seem to be any mentions of it overheating so far, it could either be your phone, the entire umidigi line or the P60. the realme 1 wasn’t noted to overheat during benchmarks, and the mate 10, 10 pro and view 10 (kirin 970) were noted when it’s barely noticable in every day usage.
I’m guessing it’s Umidigi cheaping out on proper heat dissipation as they tout how slim the Z2 Pro is
Thanks bro. I must admit I couldn’t wait till the redmi note 5 came to my country and bought the redmi 5 plus :/. But hopefully 2-3 years from now when this phone dies I’ll get a much modern xiaomi device.
± It was same as SD625, but again held by Xiaomi’s UI. They couldn’t keep up the promise of Faster Android Updates
Had some good things too. See this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gNZVbUfGcCo
It competes with the SD660 sure. Under ideal conditions (i.e. when the P60 doesn’t overheat to the point it’s nearly causing burns).
did you know that the sd810 is entirely responsible for melting the ice caps
I own a Zenfone 3, and my brother just got his first Xiaomi, a Redmi 5 Plus, yesterday. I think it’s kinda funny his shiny new phone has the same processor as my 2-year-old device. But hey, it’s cheap, works great, and he loves it 😀
Shit, imagine that. A Xiaomi Mi A2 abominations like the [Sony Tablet P](http://cdn.theunlockr.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Unroot-Sony-Tablet-P.jpeg) but instead it’s two motherboards working together.
Definitely not as good as a Snapdragon 625
So what are some good options to replace the SD625 in your opinion?
And Lei Jun is on stage now presenting the new phones, as is tradition. It has a new powerful Snapdragon processor as well as dual cameras as to be expected. It appears now he has also pulled out the Snapdragon 625 version, as is tradition.
SD630, or even the 626 or 450.
It is known
Hey, DatBerry, just a quick heads-up:
**noticable** is actually spelled **noticeable**. You can remember it by **remember the middle e**.
Have a nice day!

Mi A2 Lite/Redmi Pro 6
It’s also straight up confusing for new buyers too – I see a lot of people confused by Xiaomi’s naming scheme and once they get over that they only get confused by the multiple devices which are seemingly the same.
I don’t blame them either, there’s barely any difference between the note 4 and 5 plus, or the 5 plus and the S2 or the 6 pro.
Without help how are they meant to understand all that?
r/xiaomemes
I mean, it’s still better than phones with mediatek processors
It is known
The ford model t wasn’t broke
It also isn’t very good from what I gather, because they’re not using it in any new phones
It might have been that my Umidigi Z2 pro was a lemon and got blazingly hot when gaming for whatever reason. Now, truth be told phones get hot when gaming, but there’s a certain line between “getting hot” and “getting so hot that that’s actually uncomfortable to hold”. That kind of behavior has been pretty much in line with my previous experience with other Mediatek chips
realme 1(mediatek helio p60) is priced at 9k in India and it is a competitor to sd660
Except more power, what does a better CPU also provides? I guess more power saving too but does it also improves the camera?
Τhis should get more subs
Announced way back in February 2016 by Qualcomm and first arrived on the ZenFone 3 by ASUS in May 2016 which is a good 2 years ago. This chipset really needs to die already 🤦🏻♂️
you can glue 2 mi a1s together and they become a mi a2
More power saving, better GPU, better DSP (which can improve camera performance), better modem for faster wireless speeds
Replaced by the 660 (more power) or the 636 (I think?)
But none are as power efficient. Don’t have the 636 but that’s what I heard
Is*
36:9 aspect ratio wave of the future.
Seriously though, let’s not give them any ideas.
agreed.
For a long time I wondered why Xiaomi didn’t put the Surge SOC into more phones but a this point I feel they should have just licensed the 625 as the Surge S2
If it keep the price low and development easier…
Same could be said about the SD800.
It’s now old as fuck and there’s better options
P60 competes with SD660 and beats every other SD SoC below it
mediatek is shit anyway
The P60 competes with the SD 660 in the CPU department but not the GPU department.
No more SD 625? That SOC was legendary!!!
Hold the fuck up, where in the fuck did you see a Helio P60 overheat? Aren’t you just spreading bullshit right now?
I’ve tried googling this, but there’s literally nothing mentioning that. It competes with the SD660 and even scores higher in some CPU tests, the only parts it lacks in are the modems and the GPU (which is still faster than the adreno 509 in the SD636 like the RN5)
sd 810 was the best SoC Qualcomm produced
that’s another conspiracy theory
surely it just fragments development between multiple devices? They could’ve just kept the Redmi Note 4 from 2017 and made the price lower instead of constantly making new 625 devices.
625 with eas is love even qcom support it in 4.9 kernel so they choud keep it going
The GPU also isn’t too shabby
Better than the 810 for sure
