Obviously the phone apparently needs to “learn” the battery useage.
I’ll update again in a month. This is almost the same as my old Note 20 Ultra.
Usage: No photos, ran an update, just browsed and installed apps and deleted apps.

My first day with the 15 Ultra lasted around 15 hours with about 4-5 hours of screen time by my estimates. This seems… excessively bad.
Just a month and half later for me, it’s now almost a full 24 hours with 7-8 hours of screen time. Gets used for work calls too. If I’m firing off photos at a project site for a long time then it’ll die sooner. Lighter use then a day and half at most.
On the global ROM in Canada.
Hopefully mine improves too! It also got very hot too.
I’ll keep an eye on it.
Apparently the first batches of the phone gets the charger provided…which is cool…but I always want the second batch in case they find improvements in manufacturing lol!
It should definitely improve. Mine does get warm, but never hot even while outside snapping photos for 2 hours straight. Though that drains the battery by like 30-40% lol.
Mine came with a charger. Depends on which global model it was. Only the European market phones don’t get the charger in the box. Mine came from Hong Kong. The battery manufacture date is Dec 2024. You can find that under “battery protection” to see when yours was built.
Wow you’re a wealth of knowledge mate haha. Mine is also Dec 2024. Mike also came from HK, but I bought it from a retail store here in Australia.
I’ve got the same phone as you. Now I need the Stinger and in my case 992. 🤣
Woah, I didn’t think your phone’s battery would have the same build date as mine, especially if you bought it now 2 months after release. What a coincidence lol. Excellent colour choice btw.
Also, I kept thinking “what 992 is this person talking about?” and then I saw my cover photo hah. Have to admit that isn’t mine. I was gifted a day rental after graduation from university and took it up a local highway called the Sea-to-Sky here in Vancouver, Canada. Basically a twisty mountain highway along a big ocean inlet. Absolute blast.
The Stinger is definitely mine though. I have a New Zealand friend who also has a Stinger but is moving to Australia soon. He definitely wants to get another Stinger there. Australian models were RWD only while Canadian ones are AWD only because we apparently get winter here hehe.
I think the phones we have is Batch 1 from release. They’re probably selling these first until they’ve almost run out and selling the second batch.
Yeah the police here drive stinger GTs, 5 series and camry. They’re an awesome car.
I’m actually moving to the U.S in just over a week…keen to get myself into an LS430 first… then perhaps a Stinger or an IS500 after that 👌🏾
Belgium here bought phone a week ago also december 2024
Mine is also december 2024 and it is thz second one because the first was faulty. Now this second unit is also defective! I’m in France. So only one batch for the moment.
What was wrong with the first one and what’s wrong with the current one?
First : 5g connection is dead after 7 days ! Second : dust inside above a lens and microphone background noise in video !
Jeeez that’s horrible! I’ll keep an eye on mine, thanks for letting me know. I think I did see your post about the dust in the lens.
Should get better. Put some apps that drain and ones that you don’t need to have notifications into restricted mode. I get pretty good SOT now, only higher than expected standby battery usage overnight which I have no idea what is causing it.
Yeah, I’ve had the China version for around 2 ish months now, I had some weird battery issues first week though.

Yes very tired about that. I’m waiting for a reply from xiaomi to know what they will do.
I’m taking a huge risk because I bought this here in Australia and I’m moving to the U.S permanently. So any warranty issues will be a pain.
Hoooooly moly. I will definitely swap out the 5410 in this one for the 6000 some day.
It is a beast, my 14 U also had weird issues in the first month, then it settles in.
Still no Snapchat notifications no matter what I do though lol
Has anyone been able to do this and prove it’s possible?
my phone gets hot too but most people say it doesn’t, guess we both got a corrupt unit? personally ive tried factory resetting the phone and its much better now, used to consume 1% every 4.5 minute on reels now 7.2 minutes but it still gets warmer than id like to, ill see how things improve
Yeah me too, it goes better later
Not yet, I’m planning to give it a go whenever the battery dies down on my current unit. The physical plug on both batteries are identical and the dimensions as well.
Ok so I just went through a [second charge cycle](https://www.reddit.com/r/XiaomiGlobal/s/l2z2MxMPIE). The phone barely got hot. But I think it’s normal for any phone to get hot under load.
Mine got better on the 5th day I guess. I did drain to 0 and fully charged for the first three days as suggested in a battery setting pop out message during my first use. It was heating a bit excessively before but now it is fine.
I am very happy with the cn model and cn rom. Xiaomi Global is a complete disgrace
