Cries in X3
Lol jk love my X3, but that 888 is sick!
Honestly curved display are a pain in the ass. From accidental touches, aplly a screen protector, drop protection to even put a case on it. I think Apple got it right tbh. Pretty much all the reviewers recommend flat screens.
Yes curved display is crap BUT it’s also the best choice for gestures especially with case on.Btw I Like lcd’s sometimes beacuse flaghsip LCD Will Always have pure whites or better looking whites unlike amoleds who always have touch of blue hue or yellow hue.
Tell me honestly, when was the last time you used curved screen? Im not arguing, its not for everyone, but the same fairytales about accidental touch been going around for 10 years now probably. ITS NOT A PROBLEM. Software has come a long way, im using curved mi note 10 lite for half a year now, and i NEVER have any accidental touches. You can even configure how sensitive and how big deadzone is on the edges… Its a myth. There is no problem with accidental touches.
I had an s9 and s10 plus you can see my post history
So you telling me you had accidental touches? I find it hard to believe company like Samsung can’t solve curved screen issues when Xiaomi already did for some time. I even have a friend, who hated curved screens, but now is using mi 10 and also has 0 issues.
Techtablets in his Mi10 review also talked about having no accidental touches in comparison to his S10.
Yes, I’ve had at least 3-5 accidental touches a day but the case I had also helped a lot. I also had to adjust the way I hold my phone, don’t tell me you didn’t have to, and you just hold it like a regular device.
Gestures have little to do with the curved screens. They work perfectly fine on any screen. Lcd vs amoled that’s another story.
Yes I do hold it the same way as any other phone lol. Part of my palm is often touching side of the screen now that I look at it. But I never had any accidental touches. Maybe curvature is not as big. Anyways, I can assure you, Xiaomi doesn’t have problem with accidental touches.
I experience accidental touches on my oneplus 7t pro too
Currently on an S10 and it’s rage inducing to use, there are various software solutions that don’t work properly, one just forgets the config every few weeks for no apparent reason. It’s trash and I’ll never buy a phone with curved edges again. It’s a real shame as there’s a lot about this phone I like.
I’m not quite sure why it’s so pronounced on my S10 though as my girlfriend’s S9 is vastly better, but I think it has slightly thicker bezels.
I don’t get it is this a joke
I hope there will be an smaller Mi11 se. Though I don’t think that will be the case.
Yeah, got a Galaxy Note 10, this curved screens sucks ass. Never again! Learned the hard way over curved screens.
What? Why would it be?
> Pretty much all the reviewers recommend flat screens.
Lol are you **seriously** presenting this as an argument? Lol
Most reviewers are professionals that only say what will get them more views. Imagine if MKBHD reviewed a pixel phone and didn’t praise the ‘clean’ software
I use curved screen phones for 2,5 years and i could say i never had any accident touches, screenprotectors are pretty easy to install if you handle it well, and most phone cases got special edges that protects it. So idk what y’all are complaining about. Always seem like the people complaining never had a curved screen phone
If Xiaomi throttles older devices I would agree, but I don’t think that’s the case.
I literally got the mi 10 ultra a couple of days ago
It’s in another league anyway. I probably wouldn’t wanna spend the $. I don’t game on my phone so mostly unecessary. X3 covers more than my needs 🥰
That’s weird, as a mi 10 user and a former Huawei mate 20 pro user I’ve literally never had accidental touches, i think that it’s just a Samsung problem then🤷🏽♂️
Then its just a Samsung problem cause huawei and xiaomi never has problems with that
Literally?
exactly, people are comparing 200$ xiaomi LCD with a 1000$ apple oled, of course OLED is gonna look better. But once you compare a flagship LCD with a flagship OLED, there is hardly any difference.
LCD also seems to go dimmer in my experience, which is great for late night viewing
I never had trouble with accidental touches, but I did break the screen and it was ungodly expensive to repair
Btw, mkbhd loves flat screens
Xiaomi mi 10
No accidentall touches
Just like with Samsung S8
iphone 12 boxy curves are so badly made like it isnt even ergonirmic at all and they actually managed to make their stainless steel frame on their PROs feel like plastic.. no hate but i honestly prefer samsung note 20 ultra’s screen like its slightly curved but not over doing it.
You can practically turn off backlight completely with 3rd party apps, once I had to force reboot my phone because I couldn’t see a thing lol
Never had this issue with my s9+ and note 20 ultra
I think he’s using some knock-off s10 lmao
He’s using some knock-off s10 lmao
What do you think of it so far? I’m still thinking of picking up one myself as well, the specs are amazing. And what color style did you go with?
So?
Well, I think his opinion worth way more than one of a random person on reddit. Just saying because you asked.
I love the curved display for watching but they have move cons than pro
Snapdragon : we made the ultimate chip
Xiaomi : Dips!
Exactly. I also hate the no bezels as it does the same.
As if normally curved displays weren’t idiotic enough.
Not figuratively.
Yeah I was wondering, because I buy my phones figuratively and wondering myself afterwards why no one is calling 😢
You have to answer figurative calls figuratively too. That explains why my figurative calls were literally missed by you…
frl? send me a link, i’ll have to give a try. Most apps i use just put a gray filter on top, which makes no difference to the actual brightness.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter put both sliders to max
thanks!
Its definitely worth it, the transparent back and the cameras are just so futuristic, and the weight makes it feel very premium. As far as the software and stuff its definitely nice to have MIUI again, coming from Oppo.
When is the UK release
