Isn’t the OnePlus 8 Pro cheaper?
That’s saddening :\
It’s crazy. OnePlus 8 Pro for same storage and RAM 8/256 is listed at same price
https://www.prisjakt.no/product.php?p=5319937
Only that OP is not sold out/available at major outlets
Here OnePlus doesn’t sell either, but neither Xiaomi, and you can find a Mi9t pro for half of the price of OnePlus 7t.
I was hopping for the mi 10 pro to come at a maximum of 850$, now I’m afraid about the price of the K30 pro, plz don’t be above 550$.
Geez. Steep price for a phone lacking features compared to midrange xiaomis
I think its probably gonna start at 520€ and the zoom edition will probably be around 650€.
Pricing will be uped on all these new 5G phones. OnePlus and Realme seem to be bringing more value at least.
In Hong Kong it is 5999hkd which is around 600 Euros only
It’s really strange…i can get a Oneplus 8 pro for between $1300-1400AUD from aliexpress right now. The cheapest price for the Mi 10 pro is anywhere between $1600-1700AUD.
I don’t understand why Xiaomi are pricing their phone like this, I don’t know anybody who would pay that much more for a lesser device.
Just don’t support this and let its fate be like LG devices
Got the Mi 10 for €650 from amazon.es with the launch promotion unfortunately now its €800 (too much)
In greece it cost 999€
Kinda insane, you could buy the mi 9 for half the price last year.
Just bought the mi9t this week for 280€, best phone I ever had.
wait thats insane
Yep, bought the mi 9 last year, insane phone, still holding up reaally well
I think this phone will fail because of the pricing. Not gonna lie, it has great hardware and just like OnePlus they’re heading the same direction, instead of flagship killer, they’re now calling it an actual flagship.
However, their price jumped a bit too much even OnePlus 8 Pro isn’t this expensive.
I could be wrong though as this is just my opinion.
I feel so bad for people who want the mi10pro who live outside of China, I’m currently residing in China and I got mine for $800(USD) and it’s the 12gb ram, 512gb stage, 5g. Man the thing is fucking crazy. 800 is still a lot, but in my opinion, this phon is no longer inferior to the likes of Samsung, Huawei, one plus or any of those brands.
I was planning to upgrade my Mi9 to Mi 10 Pro.. I didn’t expect such a high price (twice as much as what I paid for my Mi9 on launch :/ )
Same. looks like ill be keeping my mi 9 for another year at least
It’s a shame because previous phones were very much accessible for average earners.
I think xiaomi now have a great enough market share and reputation to increase their profit margin which was previously very low (e.g poco f1).
I will be monitoring realme a bit closer now or focus more on buying previous years flagships which seem to drop a lot in price e.g. LG
Interested to know whether at this price the phone still ships with all the tracking code of older devices and pushes adverts to users
RIP xiaomi
10 > 8
Sounds like Xiaomi are trying to reduce their customer base like OnePlus with their shared ridiculous pricing. If that is the case I won’t be buying any future devices from either company, and I’ve had devices from both in the past. You’d have thought they’d learnt by now that their popularity is the price.
It’s that damned 108mp camera. It’s extremely expensive. On the S20u the camera module costs more than the fucking OLED.
I think it’s actually 5G. Just look at the price of the Mi **Note** 10 (it has 108mp as well), it’s half the price of the Mi 10 in Norway
Well that true but it’s still very expensive for what it is. The note 10 (it has a cheap boe oled not a samsung). And yes, 5G is a big issue, but what would you want them to use, Exynos? Snaldragon lords say you need to have 5G to have 865.
0 quality/price ratio now
They have other phones for that market, k30 and k30 pro especially
I was actually planning to buy the mi 9 last year but choose the mi mix 3 instead because my mi 9 preorder was postponed for like 2 months. Switched mainly to the mi9t because the battery drain on the mi mix 3 can be kinda insane at some times.
This is absurd. This status symbol-y trend of really costly phones is insane. I’m a sysadmin and I use my phone intensively for work, it cost me 150€ and it does everything I need.
moto edge + has the same snapdragon 5g but waaay cheaper @ around £812 / AU$1,581 and also 108 mp
I think it’s just Xiaomi trying to be premium. I mean there are 5G phones coming out at 350€ish.
They just decided to overprice the Mi 10 series by 200€ to capitalize on the same fallacy that leads people to buy Apple products. “If it costs more, it’s probably better”.
The problem is that the Mi10Pro doesn’t win any comparative against 1200€ competitors and, if you’re gonna blow 1000€ on a phone, you might aswell put another 200€ and get the best options on the market.
The Mi10Pro should have been released at 800€ and the Mi10 at 600€. I’ve actually considered buying a Mi10 for 600€ when it goes on sale but I fear that this series is going to sell so poorly that official and community support will be limited.
Prices will drop dramatically towards the end of the year.
Trust me at end of year price will drop more than half
Wait it isn’t Samsung? Damn it looks more stunning that an S9’s screen that’s for sure. 600 damn nits as well
That’s actually a pretty good and important question imho.
Recently upgraded from a Mi 9 to a MIX 3. I say upgraded because even though the difference in the chipset shows, I value camera performance more, and in most usage they perform about the same but the MIX 3 has better video recording (especially OIS) and the screen is just a super fun gimmick
Sadly the mix 3 has bad software Support, updates take forever.
The joys of using a custom ROM aka xiaomi.eu
What happened to Xiaomi not making more than 5% on hardware?
I’m just referring to their high end spec phones. There is a massive difference between poco f1 which had the latest sd845 processor and the current high end xiaomi phones using the sd865. Go back even further and they were offering the latest sd821 mi5s phone in 2016 competing with the Google pixel.
Why would someone who is concerned with money do such ridiculous upgrades? Upgrading a near flagship a year later, wat..
Fingers crossed. Wanted to change my phone since its getting super slow (Blackberry KeyOne) but can’t wait till the end of the year. Hoping for price cuts on launch!
What’s your alternative now?
Fingers crossed for that!!!
It’s no longer inferior.. But in some markets that are just starting out. They don’t have that much of a name in some markets. And I thought their promise was not to raise prices more than 5 percent on top of what it costs to make the phone.
What phone do you use?
I’m looking for one I can do video editing on the go.. What phone do you use?
I know right!!
Sometimes even less than a year.. 6 months cycle these days..
I don’t do that, I don’t know if my Xiaomi Mi A1 is able to give you the performance you need, but here you go 🙂
I was looking for one where I can do video editing on the go. Want to change from my BlackBerry KeyOne. The thing about Redmi is that there are no official sellers that have picked it up here. I bought a Redmi Note before my blackberry, and when the screen got damaged, no repairer had parts for it.. X_X
Yes. I’m seriously thinking that. 200 euros will get you peace of mind with regards to warranty options and a much more mature ecosystem. I just hope they do some price cuts at launch… or at least 2 weeks later.
Yes true about the MI Note 10. But at the same time there are also cheaper 5G phones.. I don’t understand.. How about the price difference between Asia and Europe.
I mean.. Before people in developing countries could also afford the top level Xiaomi.. With this, I’m not so sure anymore…
It’s no longer #noMiwithoutYou..
More like #YouwithoutMi

They launched 2 weeks ago on my country and the price still stands.
Entirely unsure right now, but I’m on a Mi9T Pro so when the time comes to upgrade I hope there’ll be some actual well priced devices 🙁
Honestly, if they had great software, no trackers or adverts and delivered continuous software updates on each new model for a couple of years, I think they would convince a lot of people they can compete with companies like Samsung and OnePlus.
Because my girlfriend needs to upgrade her Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, so we decided that she will get my Mi9 and I will buy Mi10, not for this price though….
I’ve read the camera alone is worth 108 bucks and is the most expensive part of the s20u
Let’s hope they survive. Especially in this season that people are trying not to spend so much…
My thoughts exactly 🤣
Yes the pricing is way off, and in this age and time of information technology, they priced it differently in Asia/China and Europe. And not just a small price increase, but almost 200-300 euros difference.
They probably tricked us on that one
My thoughts exactly
I remember when the mix 3 5g came out, it was like 700$ in my country wnd I got it for 300$ in december.
Almost same price
